Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Fit Lover poster.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Project FMF (talk) 08:24, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading File:TheBeautyoftheGame(TVB).jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Hello Stormedelf! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to this article, it would greatly help us with the current 329 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Thanks for uploading File:MyBetterHalf(TVB).jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 04:03, 5 February 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. FASTILYsock(TALK) 04:03, 5 February 2010 (UTC)

to your talk page.Hi, please see if you can help to do anything to improve the article. It's getting out of hand after an IP editor added lots of un-encyclopedic material and removed the maintenance tags at the top. I think it's a good idea to place Vivian's official website under external links instead of an extra paragraph. I only changed the order of these links in order to have it at the top of the list and I hope that's ok for you. WikiVivian (talk) 00:44, 22 March 2010 (UTC)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Fire of Conscience, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://wildgrounds.com/index.php/2010/02/05/teaser-for-dante-lams-fire-of-conscience. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.)
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 11:42, 26 March 2010 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Suspects in Love requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. RadioFan (talk) 11:33, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
Hi, good to see you again. This time, I hope that you can join in this discussion to decide on whether to include foreign text in actors' filmographies or not. Apparently, some editors have expressed opposition against omitting the Chinese titles of films and TV series in actors' articles. To prevent similar conflicts from occurring in future, we'll need to arrive at a final decision based on the opinions of the community, and stick to it permanently. 暗無天日 contact me (聯絡) 05:17, 8 May 2010 (UTC)

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 17:38, 19 June 2010 (UTC)

Hi. You've done a terrific job with Chinese film, especially contemporary. I was wondering though if you thought it would be worth splitting all of the Chinese films by year or at least as far back as say 1940 or 50 or something. The 2000s list especially is huge. Hong Kong of course has it split by year. The problem of course is the older films at present don't have many films listed here. Perhaps you'd be interested in working back and creating lists like List of French films of 2000, List of American films of 1944 etc and creating like List of Chinese films of 1968 etc. There must be a website or something which lists the films by year like Hong Kong, imdb of course you can find the Chinese ones like the French link in my example. I think it would be worth it. If you ever want a hand with stubbing let me know. I created most of the lists originally and it's great to see them develop!♦ Dr. Blofeld 22:03, 30 January 2014 (UTC)
Chinese films by year at imdb. I'll link it on the main List of Chinese films page. You'll find you'll be able to access lists even for the 30s and 40s :-].♦ Dr. Blofeld 13:03, 31 January 2014 (UTC)
Yes, as I say though if there's a website dedicated to Chinese cinema which lists them this would also be good to use of course.♦ Dr. Blofeld 09:30, 1 February 2014 (UTC)

Hi, great job on updating box office numbers to numerous films! However, there is an inconsistency that I found on some of the films. On some of the titles, such as From Vegas to Macau and That Demon Within, I noticed that the box office from China is in United States dollars while box office from Hong Kong is in Hong Kong dollars. That does not make sense. It should either, both be in local currency (as in "Yuan and Hong Kong dollars") or both be in US dollars. Definitely should not be the inconsistent format it is right now. The inconsistency of the way currency are used should be resolved. I think the amount in local currency can be mentioned in the text, while in the infobox, use the US dollars.--Getareu8 (talk) 00:20, 25 April 2014 (UTC)

Hi Stormedelf! It seems that Mtime and Douban are both popular websites that are often used as a source for Chinese films, such as on List of Chinese films of 2014.
However, I noticed that on List of Chinese films of 2013, it was mostly Mtime that was used; but in 2014, Douban was used more often. I don't know why the shift, but of the two websites, Mtime should probably be utilized more over Douban. I looked at both sites, and it looks like Mtime is exclusively a film website, while Douban is more of a general website/social media. When making new entries on these lists/articles, I think Mtime is perhaps more suitable, since it is about the movies.--Getareu8 (talk) 11:29, 19 August 2014 (UTC)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of List of 2015 box office number-one films in China, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: List of 2014 box office number-one films in China. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. CorenSearchBot (talk) 03:27, 6 January 2015 (UTC)

Hi Stormedelf, I agree that adding US dollars to the grosses at highest-grossing films in China is entirely unnecessary, and I think your revert was right . I know that there is already a disclaimer at the top of the article, but don't you think we should put another currency disclaimer in the table noting that the grosses are not in US dollars but in Chinese currency? So people won't get confused (if they missed the disclaimer at the top).--Getareu8 (talk) 01:53, 28 July 2015 (UTC)

Hi, Stormedelf. Thljcl has been adding Cantonese to The Mermaid in both the English and Chinese Wikipedia citing Youtube trailers . However, it is fairly obvious that Mandarin is the actual language, and Cantonese was dubbed, and not the original language for the film. I mean even Hong Kong's South China Morning Post (http://www.scmp.com/lifestyle/film-tv/article/1911884/film-review-mermaid-stephen-chows-environmental-morality-tale) stated quite explicitly: "The film’s Hong Kong version features badly dubbed Cantonese that can be distracting for local viewers", and Screen International (http://www.screendaily.com/reviews/mermaid-review/5100027.article?blocktitle=Latest-Reviews&contentID=592) stated that it was "filmed in Mandarin as (opposed to the writer-director’s native Cantonese)". Even Yahoo! Hong Kong https://movie.yahoo-leisure.hk/movie/details/29670-%E7%BE%8E%E4%BA%BA%E9%AD%9A listed the film's language as Mandarin. But I was wondering if you see the user keep changing it, can you say something too?--Getareu8 (talk) 05:21, 20 February 2016 (UTC)

Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made to The Mermaid (2016 film): you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. Hello Stormedelf,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Duckweed (film) for deletion, because it appears to duplicate an existing Wikipedia article, Ride the Winds, Break the Waves.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 19:57, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
The article Duckweed (film) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Zackmann08 (Talk to me/What I been doing) 14:18, 29 December 2016 (UTC)
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Duckweed (film) is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Duckweed (film) until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Zackmann08 (Talk to me/What I been doing) 21:48, 29 December 2016 (UTC)

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:18, 23 July 2018 (UTC)

You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

The article Hong Kong Asian Film Festival has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline and the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (events) requirement. WP:BEFORE did not reveal any significant coverage on Gnews, Gbooks or Gscholar. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page here in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back through WP:ECHO or by leaving a note at User talk:Piotrus. Thank you.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
