Hi there,
I was told about your list of required pictures and have uploaded the Russian embassy and consular house (as you will see, these aren't particularly notable buildings).
In any case, the files are here:
I leave the task of categorizing properly to you - you may also ask for them to be deleted if they don't suit your needs.
Cheers, Popo le Chien throw a bone 20:15, 15 August 2010 (UTC)
Thank you for informing me, but I removed your comment because it might be interpreted as a violation of interaction ban on your part (what you suggested me to do was not a legitimate dispute resolution, but a violation of ban). No complaints from me, however. You are very welcome to delete or rename whatever I did and keep me informed about this.Biophys (talk) 21:34, 16 August 2010 (UTC)
Here are a couple images for you, the Russian embassy in Ulan Bator is a massive compound, which takes up a couple blocks. Entirely fenced in with the beautiful garden fencing shown, it is difficult to get a decent picture of the building, and alas, I was not invited in. On my travels I managed to get a picture of the "office building" that houses the Canadian Consulate, not nearly as impressive, but made a decent addition to Canada-Mongolia relations. Anyway, I will take a look at your other list and see if I can locate any of those other buildings, if I can I will snap a shot or two and add them to commons. Cheers. --kelapstick (talk) 18:28, 18 August 2010 (UTC)
On 23 August 2010, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Russia–Zambia relations, which you created or substantially expanded. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check ) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

Whack! You've been whacked with a wet trout. Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know that you did something silly. |

It is kind of weird that we have an article on the Khimki Forest, yet we are still lacking the main article on the Moscow – Saint Petersburg motorway now under construction. Kind of shows who makes the most noise. -- Petri Krohn (talk) 01:37, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
Please read WP:BLP, then try to explain how your revert could possibly be the right thing to have done. Angus McLellan (Talk) 00:04, 1 September 2010 (UTC)

Dear Russavia,
I trust you are doing well. I'm reaching out to politely request that you permit Tone to restore the Voices.com article. Discussion Here.
As you can see, the page has been in existence for several years without issue, however if you feel that further editing is required, your welcome to make the appropriate changes or please advise and a fellow Wikipedian will performance the edits.
I thank you in advance for your understanding.

Hello, Could you please correct the name "Samylovskii" ("ii" instead of "y"). Both spellings are acceptable, however, in the reference documentation published in English (see the article), the version with "ii" is used more often than with "y"-ending. I would prefer to stick to "ii" rather than to "y", please. If you could kindly put everywhere "ii" I would be most grateful. ERASWK (talk) 12:29, 9 September 2010 (UTC)
Is there any way of obtaining a higher resolution version of this image? I had a look at the source and wondered if Sergey Krivchikov might be able to provide one.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 06:05, 13 September 2010 (UTC)

There appears to be an error in the Russian WikiProject's talk page banner, which is also in the version in your userspace. The image that should display when the mapneeded parameter is on does not exist. Why this is so, I am not sure, but I would appreciate if you would fix it. Hi User:FeelSunny, thanks for the barnstar. I do try my best to contribute to the project on articles, but there are often too many distractions such as cleanup, categorisation, and something else I have been doing for some time now - finding images for articles, to be done that I don't write as much as I want to. Hopefully things will change in the future. As to the other unpleasantness that I have endured over the time on WP, it is my observation that when someone wants to contribute in a particular area, and frankly, without a particular POV one way or the other, they will come up against some who are not here with the best intentions - for the good of the overall project and everything it stands for. And that makes one a target for vexatious reporting, stalking and harrassment in an attempt to drive one from the project or to have them banned. Luckily, good will almost always triumph over not-so-good; it just disappoints me that some editors now seem to have taken to discussing issues with a particular arbcom member who is recused from a certain case, and given history, unbelievably has all but given those editors carte blanche to continue their harrassment, whilst denigrating everything that I "fight" against. It would be great if there was more collaborative spirit here on WP, but when one is confronted with shit like "I stronly suggest you not collaborate with Ruavia.", and without apology or recourse, but only attacking myself for making it known that editors out there have no intention to collaborate, it makes one wonder what the fuck is going on. But I will press on, and press on I will. Thanks for the barnstar FS. --Russavia I'm chanting as we speak 07:30, 16 September 2010 (UTC)

Hi. Do you think it's proper to replace "Great Patriotic War" with "second world war"? --Ghirla-трёп- 05:53, 16 September 2010 (UTC)
I was a bit surprised to see this one in the list of things you require; I thought it's one of the biggies and is not hard to find. Well, as luck has it, I'm going to Seattle in mid-October; mainly to visit that very same consulate (I rather wouldn't, but at least I'll get to do some Seattle sightseeing, which should be fun). Anyway, for what my crappy picture-taking skills are worth, and weather permitting, I'll be happy to snap a few pictures for you. Are there any particular aspects (facade, entrance, signs, building, guards, bugged walls) you are looking for? Because, you know, if you don't tell me, you'll end up with a bucketload of barely usable pictures of things you'll never need :) Cheers,—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); September 16, 2010; 15:54 (UTC)

Dear editor, I knew that you’re very busy, but I hope you’ll find a time to suggest me a relevant way to resolve the arisen issue. I’ve seen that you’ve experience the same problem in the past and able to find a way to overturn it. Several editors promised to revert my properly referenced (by National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine publications) edits and actually did it . I would be grateful for your suggestions in this matters. Thank you in advance. Regards Jo0doe (talk) 07:01, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
Hi Russavia
I contacted Tone (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Tone/Archive_16) about the deletion of the voices.com page. It was deleted for being to much "advertising". I would like it either restored (or restored to my User-space) so I can edit it.
He said you requested the deletion and that if you say it is okay that he'll restore it (or restore it to my userspace).
Can you please respond to me on my talk-page or message Tone about restoring the "voices.com" page?
Thanks so much

We are half-way through our final round, entering the home straight. TonyTheTiger (submissions) leads at the time of writing with 1180 points, immediately followed by Sasata (submissions) with 1175 points. Sturmvogel_66 (submissions) closely follows in third place with 1100 points. For those who are interested, data about the finalists has been compiled at Wikipedia:WikiCup/History/2010/finalists, while a list of content submitted by all WikiCup contestants prior to this round has been compiled at Wikipedia:WikiCup/History/2010/Submissions. As ever, anything contestants worry may not receive the necessary attention before the end of the round (such as outstanding GA or FA nominations) is welcome at Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews, and please remember to continue offering reviews yourself where possible. As always, the judges are available to contact via email, IRC or their talk pages, and general discussion about the Cup is welcome on the WikiCup talk page.
Despite controversy, the WikiCup remains open. Signups for next year's competition are more than welcome, and suggestions for how next year's competition will work are appreciated at Wikipedia talk:WikiCup/Scoring. More general comments and discussions should be directed at the WikiCup talk page. One month remains in the 2010 WikiCup, after which we will know our champion. Good luck everyone! The 2010 WikiCup is over! It has been a long journey, but what has been achieved is impressive: combined, participants have produced over seventy featured articles, over five hundred good articles, over fifty featured lists, over one thousand one hundred "did you know" entries, in addition to various other pieces of recognised content. A full list (which has yet to be updated to reflect the scores in the final round) can be found here. Perhaps more importantly, we have our winner! The 2010 WikiCup champion is Sturmvogel_66 (submissions), with an unbelievable 4220 points in the final round. Second place goes to TonyTheTiger (submissions), with 2260, and third to Casliber (submissions), with 560. Congratulations to our other four finalists – White Shadows (submissions), William S. Saturn (submissions), Staxringold (submissions) and ThinkBlue (submissions). Also, congratulations to Sasata (submissions), who withdrew from the competition with an impressive 2685 points earlier in this round.
Prizes will also be going to those who claimed the most points for different types of content in a single round. It was decided that the prizes would be awarded for those with the highest in a round, rather than overall, so that the finalists did not have an unfair advantage. Winning the featured article prize is Casliber (submissions), for five featured articles in round 4. Winning the good article prize is Sturmvogel_66 (submissions), for eighty-one good articles in round 5. Winning the featured list prize is Staxringold (submissions), for six featured lists in round 1. Winning the picture and sound award is Jujutacular (submissions), for four featured pictures in round 3. Winning the topic award is Sturmvogel_66 (submissions), for forty-seven articles in various good topics in round 5. Winning the "did you know" award is TonyTheTiger (submissions), for over one hundred did you knows is round 5. Finally, winning the in the news award is Candlewicke (submissions), for nineteen articles in the news in round three.
The WikiCup has faced criticism in the last month – hopefully, we will take something positive from it and create a better contest for next year. Like Wikipedia itself, the Cup is a work in progress, and ideas for how it should work are more than welcome on the WikiCup talk page and on the scoring talk page. Also, people are more than welcome to sign up for next year's competition on the signup page. Well done and thank you to everyone involved – the Cup has been a pleasure to run, and we, as judges, have been proud to be a part of it. We hope that next year, however the Cup is working, and whoever is running it, it will be back, stronger and more popular than ever. Until then, goodbye and happy editing!
