Hi there,
I noticed that you have been performing GA re-reviews. Two of them fall within the scope of WikiProject New York City: Tompkins Square Park Police Riot (1988), which you have already demoted, and Collapse of the World Trade Center, which is to be demoted shortly. On the one hand, I think you deserve a lot of credit for your care and thoroughness in taking on a "mop-up" task that very few editors would volunteer for. But by the same token, I think the process is flawed.
In the first place, there is very little difference between the GA criteria as you interpret them, and FA criteria. If your suggested fixes to Collapse of the World Trade Center were made, it would be as good an article as many that have passed FA recently. This is one of the main problems with the GA process: depending on the reviewer, it is sometimes almost as arduous as the FA process, with the exception that a single individual gets to make the decision.
In the second place, I think your deadlines are too tight, and somewhat artificial. Does it not seem passing strange that, during the week between Christmas and New Year's, you would announce a one-week deadline for an article to be "fixed," or else it will be demoted from GA status? Is it not possible that editors have other things going on in their lives at this time of year? Some Wikipedia editors toss out arbitrary one- or two-week deadlines quite casually, as if it is of earth-shattering importance that something or other be decided so quickly.
Let me again stress that I think Wikipedia needs more editors doing the kind of work that you do. I just think the process needs some re-thinking. Lastly, I would add that I have never edited the articles mentioned above (and don't intend to), so I have no personal ax to grind with respect to either one of them. Marc Shepherd (talk) 19:37, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
Would like someone knowledgeable to check it out: added Plot section to 42nd Street, removed tag, and added lyrics of the title song. Hope to take care of cast & crew as well. BTW how to go about upgrading the importance rating? This movie had a profound effect on the movie industry. Happy New Year, Shir-El too 04:21, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
Please have a look. Thanks for the spur to action.--Thomas Basboll (talk) 14:16, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
Nehrams, I might recommend you postpone your proposed continuance of keeping this article listed as a GA. It has a lot of serious issues currently which might not be readily apparent to those who don't know what the full details are. Though the article is decent the main issues revolve around violations of the undue weight clause of NPOV as well as violations of SYNTH and NOT. It's not impossible these things may get straightened out shortly, but I doubt it. Be patient as this is an ongoing problem. Thanks.--MONGO 08:31, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

I've updated the article to bring it in line with your suggested changes, including a new "Background" section. While the {{main}} template for the section may be slightly unnecessary at the moment (the section is pretty much as long as the entire CFRB article), I intend to expand the Campaign article at some point in the future, probably once I'm done with Onslaught, Amy, Little Girls and Daughters. As with noitulovE, there aren't really any free use images around. Advertising/Marketing folk and the Free Culture movement don't tend to overlap very often (which is fairly understandable, I suppose), so freely licensed photographs of the ceremonies are pretty hard to come by. In any event, let me know if anything else needs changing! GeeJo (t)⁄(c) • 19:25, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

Hello, thanks for your review of Shining Path. I think most issues pointed out in the review have been successfully addressed so feel free to check it again any time you like. --Victor12 (talk) 18:28, 21 January 2008 (UTC)
Have a look when you can - I've filled in the general task force lists now, so it's essentially complete. I've also added a lot more text. This isn't necessarily all going onto the Core subpage when it goes to WP Film - a lot of the background is really just going to be used for the community rollout when this goes public. The contest will probably also get split to its own page or maybe part of Spotlight (since it will be tied in with some new awards). I've also planned for the annual contest to have real-world prizes, namely gift certificates. I'm gonna just pledge maybe $20 or so to the pot, but it would be nice if a bunch of editors can just pledge a bit, like $5 each. Obviously that's a purely voluntary thing, but it would be a nice bit to add to the Bounty Board too (and maybe get some more advertisement/new editors). The quarterly contest will just have its own specific wiki-awards, something like gold/silver/bronze, and probably we'll need some variants for people winning it multiple times. I think we can probably find some editor who likes to design awards before the end of the first quarter.
Anyway, have a look and let me know. Hopefully we should be able to start this up very shortly! Girolamo Savonarola (talk) 05:23, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

Tough call... I know that 300 has 2006 on its IMDb page, but it's usually perceived as a 2007 release. I don't think that Cleaner has really had an actual release, considering that its Rotten Tomatoes page only has five reviews. A film with this kind of cast would warrant more attention, it seems. I'd like to go through it and see if I can't track down secondary sources to put together a more coherent "Cultural impact" section. Let me know if you can accomplish this. —Erik (talk • contrib) - 21:51, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
Sorry for the intrusion but could you look at this article? A series of anon IPs (same person based on comments) has added an unusual addition under popular culture with no attribution other than his/her viewpoint/OR. Of a more serious nature, the editor has also made inappropriate comments on the article's discussion page and my talk page. Thanks for your assistance. FWIW, I may be asking a number of admins for their review of the article. Bzuk (talk) 19:11, 21 February 2008 (UTC).
How does one go about starting and creating a WikiProject page? Creamy3 (talk) 23:42, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
hello, I was wondering whether Battle of Gettysburg would be a featured article...It seems like it could be, compared to how it looked the last time it was nominated. I wanted to know if you thought it would be :) as you reassesed the article not too long ago as a good article. Thanks Mathwhiz 29 (talk) 06:24, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for the information. Creamy3 (talk) 20:21, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

You were the GA reviewer who helped by provding constructive inputs to Hilary Duff article which helped in promotion of the article to GA status. Since then, the article has gone thru some more changes and now i have enlisted the article for FA status. Before that i had listed it for peer review but no major objections were raised. I was wondering if u could go thru the article and leave some feedback at WP:FAC#Hilary Duff.....thanx Gprince007 (talk) 08:52, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

Hey, I got a quick question. I'm a little busy in RL right now, but I'm going on spring break this Friday, meaning 7 days of Wikipedia, hopefully. Do you think it'd be OK if Vamei could be on hold until Sunday, perhaps? I plan on doing a big cleanup/possible revamping probably Friday night. Cheers. ♬♩ Hurricanehink (talk) 06:08, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

The overall article looks good. I am just questioning why there's the Notes and References sections, as well as "further reading". Is it possible to merge these 3 sections together? OhanaUnitedTalk page 06:45, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Fgmuppetcameo.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 18:32, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for uploading Image:Predator face2.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 15:47, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
I'm working on the GA review tornado article that you tagged, and a lot URL's on the refs no longer exist. Does this mean that the ref is no longer valid? thanks, Gopher backer (talk) 12:52, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
Looking at the flurry of recent edits to Oklahoma City bombing, I think we have a problem. Some of the newly added text (and sources) appear to contradict existing text and sources (such as the number of barrels in the Ryder truck and their contents). Likewise some of the new sources appear to be used for WP:SYN (such as the thermobaric effects of the explosion). Your thoughts? --Kralizec! (talk) 12:08, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi hope you are well. I was thinking about adjusting the large side plate Template:European cinema to collapse into a small box where you click on it to widen. I;ve seen it done to the Buddhism template. Its rather domineering to the articles I think . Thanks! Yea, being an admin is turning out pretty cool, and I'm glad I made the decision. Also, thanks for your reviews across our project. Regarding Camille, I think there is simply too much work to be done, and I think it needs a large re-working. Since someone may surprise me and work on it, I won't delist it. Rather, I'll let it run its course. ♬♩ Hurricanehink (talk) 01:34, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
