Hi. I'm afraid we have had to delete some of your articles. This is nothing personal against the people written about, or against you, but because of Wikipedia policy. We have to have rules for who gets an article here, and it has already been decided that a person who is killed in battle is not noteworthy just because of that. If this were not the case there would have to be literally millions of articles about such people.
You are welcome to add articles about soldiers who have shown extreme courage and been rewarded by (for example) very rare medals of honour, or who have held very senior posts. It is advisable to make these things clear in the article. DJ Clayworth 17:41, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

You appear to have a disagreement with User:Wikipediatrix over Gamini Kularatne. You might have written the article originally, but by posting it here, you release it under the GFDL which allows anyone to edit it. Also, Wikipedia entries are supposed to be neutral and verifiable. Articles need to be written in a formal tone without words that express opinion. "amazing storylines", "to everyone's shock", "which wouldn't be surprising", etc. are all matters of opinion, not facts. Because articles need to be verifiable, you are supposed to provide reliable sources. Please check some of these links to get an idea how things are done around here, so you can continue editing without running into problems with others. Happy editing! - Mgm|(talk) 14:35, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

Hey Lahiru K, you had written something on my talk page which I think is in Sinhalese. Unfortunately, right now I'm in the U.S. and I can't get Sinhalese fonts to work on this computer so I can't read what you've written. Sorry about that. So maybe write it in english or you can click the @ sign next to my signature and email me if you want. Again real sorry about this. Hi Lahiru, I want to say that, what you have done through all the excellent writings of yours is simply superlative and exceptional!!!. The best thing is, they have had a considerably noticable impact on so many parties, haven't it? I've got to tell you this, that, your work is giving the impression that another S. Mahinda himi is on His way fighting for freedom. You are doing exactly the same thing He did, made different only by the "keyboard" instead of the "pen". Our Mother Land is proud of you!!!!! You have all our blessings. All the very Best!!! Kaushini 02:11 18 September 2006(UTC)
Yeah thanks, but you've done a whole lot more work on that and similar articles than I have. So really I have to tell you, Like Kaushini says, Great Work and keep it up.--snowolfD4( talk / @ ) 23:56, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
In Relation to the Special Task Force article. Your recent attempts to improve the article have been somewhat detrimental. I see that you have questioned the sources stated, On the first instance, yes the site went inactive and thus the source invalid, however, you should of posted on the 'Talk Page' as I could of verified and rectified the situation
The second edit deleted the statement 'Tamil and Muslim ares' and had cited sources for both. Whilst the first source states 'LTTE controlled area' hence inherently Tamil area, but this can be mistaken and I will find a better impartial source time permitting, however my main concern with this second edit is that you deleted the 'muslim areas' aswell even though the source was perfectly clear and cited properly
Please be more careful in future edits of this page and use the talk page when apropriate to do so. Also thankyou for citing the reason for changing the article, otherwise I would of not been alerted to this issues.
Thankyou --Sharz 09:11, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

Hi, on your user page you have the construct |{{subst:Lahiru_k}} in a lot of the category boxes that you want to add yourself to. This has the effect of sorting your name after "{" instead of "L" in these categories. I suspect this has come about by changing |{{subst:PAGENAME}} to |{{subst:Lahiru_k}}, when you could have left it as it was or changed it to just |Lahiru_k. Concerning your latest changes, it seems that the only two news sources that are reporting this development is the Sri Lankan Military site, which is obviously biased, and 'lankatruth' which is dubious but uncertain. However, news sources that have printed that the incident was commited completly by the Special Task Forces of Sri Lanka consist of the BBC[1], arabnews.com[2], The Europian Union Commision on Human Rights [3](Which has been brought up at the UN), wsws.com [4], Amensty International, USA Today[5], The Green Left[6] and PeaceMagazine [7].
Those are a mere fraction of the news outlets, INGOs and Government agencies that accuse the Sri Lankan Government, and particularly the Special Task Foce that was occupying the area, of the murders.
Also, Amnesty International has cited the Sri Lankan Government as utilising 'Abnormal and Inconsistant interogation techniques' whilst the U.S State Department is cited as saying the Sri Lankan Government has 'coerced infomation through the use of non-orthodox techniques, including but not exclusive to torture'.
What do you say to the overwhelming evidence that supports the initial claim that the STF commited this attrocity, and also that two major organisations have cited the Sri Lankan Government as using torture and other means to acsertain favorable facts?—Preceding unsigned comment added by Sharz (talk • contribs)
It is important to keep a cool head, especially when responding to comments against you or your edits. Personal attacks and disruptive comments only escalate a situation; please keep calm and remember that action can be taken against other parties if necessary. Attacking another user back can only satisfy trolls or anger contributors and leads to general bad feeling. Please try to remain civil with your comments. Thanks! Saying somebody doesn't have common sense as you said here I think is incivil . In addition you seem to have userbox, where you oppose certain wikipedia users. I would respectfully ask you to remove that userbox. Wikipedia is not to place to propagate opposition or for that matter hatred at anybody and I feel offended by you having it on your userpage. Your user page on wikipedia is not a place for your personal soapbox. Having seen your numerous positive contributions to wikipedia, I expected better from you and this really seems out of character. Hello Lahiru, now that it has been confirmed that you are a malicious sockpupeteer, I would urge you to apologize to all concerned so that this issue does not escalate further and you get into a semi or permanent ban. My gut feeling says, you are a young student and a Sri Lankan Muslim interested primarily in Islamic issues and secondarily in LTTE relatd issues. Your work under the beatiful User name Mystic was great on Colombo and Islamic issues. I have a lot of respect for Muslim people as I belive in 100 years they will be the only ones still speaking Tamil in Sri Lanka as most all Tamils in Sri Lanka have shown an inclination give up their language and assimilate as Sinhalese (dont have problems with it either) but some also turn into Sinhala racists just to cover their non Sinhalese past (that I have a problem with). There are lot's of SL Muslim issues that need attention in Wikipedia. The Kudi system of eastern muslims, their peculiar religious habbits, the Kariapper name significance, Origin of Eastern Muslims, origin of Jaffna Muslims, the Muslim shrine with Nallur Murugan temple, Muslim shrine within Kataragama, the Tamil muslim dynamics of eastern Sri Lanka, the Mosque massacres, the involment of Muslim youth in Tamil militant groups, you name it there is a lot that an smart guy like you can and should contribute to Wikipedia about Sri Lankan muslims. Thanks RaveenS 20:43, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
It should be noted Lahiru is not banned yet because no one has raised that issue at the appropriate admin section. But it will depend on Lahiru's actions. Because Mystic has been accused of similar issue before this would be considered as his/her second offence hence ban could be semi or permanent that means in the future no posts will come out of this IP or any IP that can be proved to be linked to Lahiru/Mystic. I persoanlly donot want to see that given theamount of work that needs to be done in Sri Lankan muslim issues. ThanksRaveenS 13:20, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
Lahiru.. Its very dishonest of you not to comment about RaveenS comments about contribution to the Colombo article, you know for sure that you are not the Mystìc whom RaveenS claims you are. I've been (Mystìc) blocked for your pathetic behavior in the Tfd nomination page. The only reason behind me nominating that template for deletion is it violates wikipedia NPOV rule.. Now because of your behavior I've been accused of vandalizing some user page which I clearly didn't do, vote stacking for the deletion which again I clearly didn't do. 222.165.157.129 10:21, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
Why is that this users account is not blocked and mine is blocked?, Looking at his page I think he is guilty of sockpuppeting, but my account was blocked unfairly because of this persons behaviour. (Mystìc) 222.165.180.160 16:28, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
User user:Sri119 has done very few edits and some of latest edits appear very suspicious. I pointed this out on the TfD before they were all caught. For example setting of userbox just before voting here. Furthermore the mannerism, particularly the use of "Happy editing!!!" of this user shows strong similarity with User:Lahiru k . In addition both of these editors seem interested in military related subjects related to Sri Lanka. This also speaks for user Mama007 who has done some military edits and to user Psivapalan, which I detail below.
The sock puppet with more extensive edits have one subtle writing feature in common: use of "!!" or "!!!". Here is one from Mystic: . In many of these cases, the users with light editing history changed or created their userbox before voting on the template. Also both Lahiru_k and Mystic indeed have some overlap in writing about Muslim affairs (particularly Sri Lankan muslim affairs). Here Lahiru_k who claims to be Sinhala Budhist with his userboxes did these edits , when someone else blanked it. He appeared keenly sensitive to this tragic yet historic event (affected Jaffna muslims) and occurred in Sri Lanka and made these edits in a couple of pages and issued this warning . With user Psivapalan , the edits have been on the Indian Army (a key feature linking user Lahiru's military edits) and few India related articles for good measure, but the userboxes were setup the same day and some appear to have been copied from user:Sudharsansn page - that target of vandalism attack by one of these sock puppets, and then the voting was done. Its also important to note, the sock puppet all have completely different userboxes, one claims to be Tamil from Canada , another Muslim , another Indian Tamil Hindu , another Sinhala Budhist . One even claims to live in England (Mama007) and all from a Sri Lanka telecom IP address :)
Take another interesting thing in common between Lahiru_k and Mystic. Both have very similar signatures , consisting of blue gradients with "T" for talk. Could all of this be mere coincidence ? It should also be noted that User:Mystic was caught before for vote stacking and was the person who initiated the tfD which surprisingly got the attention of all these users, without any sort of communication, particularly brand new users that just 'started on wikipedia'. With all of this damning evidence and being caught, I would expect, Arsath (Mystic) to come clean and apologize than playing innocent. Then again he maybe having multiple personality disorder, nothing to be shamed about. Elalan 15:14, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
You "issued" a warning on my user talk page for me deleting one of your posts, I provided a strong counter-arguement to it, justifying my removal of your post due to the slanderous nature of it, However you have made no attempts to remove this 'warning' nor justify your 'warning', I userstand that you are not completley active on Wikipedia at the moment, however I will move forward in deleting your so-called 'warning' without your permission as it is a blight upon my user talk page and a falsehood. --Sharz 06:57, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
Arsath, Lahiru is not yet blocked because he is the malicious puppeteer and potentiall will be banned for life if and when it happens. Arsath, who ever you are Mystic (by self admission) and Lahiru (you deny). I hope you will in the future be as reasonable as possible under these circumstances. Wikipedia can and will make people go mad just like Usenets used. Hopefully we can maintain our sanity and contribute. I am sure you will be back even if you are banned permanently, but when you are back please use this as a lesson leraned so you will keep contributing the way you did in Colombo and Islamic issues. Sri Lankan Muslim need a champion like you in Wikipedia because the number articles are next to nothing. In one of my Sanboxes I have a list of articles that need input from a Sri Lankan muslim. If you are lahiru then ask for forgiveness, if not just let the Wiki process take care of your ban. ThanksRaveenS 16:59, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
Arsath, do you deny making this comment ? You can do a quick google search to get this .
"Two muslims or three muslims or four muslims, it doesn't matter, its wrong to kill innocent civilians, who have done nothing to the blood thirsty LTTE, I am an eye-witness to the attack on Pakistani ambassador which again killed several innocent civilians who were minding their own business. Mr kunapathy kandasamy would you be okay if 2 people are killed in your family of 20? This is utter nonesense an idiots talk."
Incidentally this comment was posted August 28th, 2006. User Lahiru_k portrays himself very strongly supporting the Sri Lankan government and the Sri Lankan military, anti-LTTE and some in the community have said anti-Tamil (almost an extreme caricature of the Sinhala nationalist). The second comment made by the same user Arsath on the online forum from above on August 28th includes "!!". User Lahiru_k became active in its contribution history August 27th, 2006 with edit on Sri Lankan Army General Denzil Kobbekaduwa , although it was created in March, 2006. The attack on the ambassador occurred on August 14th, 2006 .
I think any intelligent person having looked at the stack evidence including this last one can make a clear conclusion from this. Elalan 17:21, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
On this point I agree, Mystic account (the sock puppeteer) should have a temporary block and one last warning (since this funny business has occurred before), while Lahiru_k, clearly a sock puppet account should be banned permanently. To Arsath's credit, he has made many constructive edits to wikipedia and that I think the community feels will be dearly lost if he is banned permanently. I also think all this is dependent on an apology and full confession from him to all parties affected by this mischievous conduct. He has undergone some traumatic experience and its only human to forgive such conduct, if and when an apology is asked for. Elalan 16:49, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

TODC is a great site that is worthy of being on Wikipedia. It is actually the third generation in the OSWD line (marked by when the community reformed to create a new site).
The bottom line is TODC is a strong community who is worthy of being in Wikipedia. I am going to try to add more to the entry soon. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Megajames (talk • contribs)
. But Melchoir says its violating Wikipedia guideline Wikipedia:Notability (web). Don't be afraid about that. First read Wikipedia:Notability (web) well and try to find in article where it seems violating, or ask for help directly from Melchoir. I'm pretty sure that he may help you because he is an Administrator. Good luck!!! --♪♫ ĽąĦĩŘǔ ♫♪ Walkie-talkie 08:19, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
Regarding this report at AIV, perhaps you meant a different vandal IP? This IP doesn't have anything on talk.--Kchase T 07:24, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
No sweat, I just wanted to make sure there wasn't some prolific IP vandal on the loose that you meant to report and really needed it blocked. Keep reporting to AIV. The occasional misfire happens to the best of us.--Kchase T 07:34, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
Define "needlessly". I removed biased quotes from an article that are clearly POV, replacing them with more neutral wording. Isn't this what Wikipedia is about? Also, your warning states that I have been warned about this before...nope.207.216.49.234 09:54, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
NVM figured it out, sorry

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Kokilai sat pic.JPG, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. — ccwaters 19:32, 18 December 2006 (UTC) ccwaters 19:32, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
I didn't remove content, I added it. The little I removed was negligible. Check it again and add stuff back if you want, but there's no need to do a total rv. Thank you. Tommythegun 19 December 2006 07:31 (UTC)
Will do. Keep up the good work. Tommythegun 19 December 2006 07:52 (UTC)
why do you keep undoing my edits—Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.113.228.25 (talk • contribs)
Thanks, I guess, um can someone please lock the article me and a few other users had to edit that crap out for two days already and someone keeps putting back in blantanly false claims that Goldberg signed with WWE.--24.184.169.37 16:07, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

I was told that I needlessly removed content from the Need For Speed Underground 2 game, when in fact I removed content that was needless. It was a poorly written game type for a game when in fact it doesn't even exist in the game. I completely understand why you would think that if you have not played it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by MikeFez (talk • contribs) 02:24, 20 December 2006 (UTC).

I just want to let you know, I didnt mean to erase anything and I thought I looked over it before I posted it. Sorry, just a wiki newbie mistake.
I just wanted to add the actor's birth year, which I found via Imdb.

I didn't vanalize this page i was simply looking up a vocab word, direct characterization, for English. When did that become vandalism?—Preceding unsigned comment added by 165.138.163.5 (talk • contribs)
Yes, I borrowed it from you, Thanks RaveenS 15:24, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
Whoops, sorry about that; I was monitoring RCs and made a mistake there.

Hi, earlier today you uploaded Image:Kids were in kent.JPG, Image:Kent-farm2.jpg, & Image:Kent-farm.jpg under a{{CopyrightedFreeUseProvidedThat}} license which included a note prohibiting any alteration of the contents or source of the images. Licenses that do not allow modification and redistribution of images are not compatible with the GFDL and are not considered "free" licenses in the context of Wikipedia use. These images might still be used in accordance with Wikipedia fair use criteria, but they would need to be retagged and you would need to provide a Wikipedia:Image_description_page#Fair_use_rationale rationale for their use. Otherwise these images will be listed for deletion at WP:PUI. Thanks ˉˉanetode╦╩ 14:40, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
Why was the previous image spam ? because you have replaced with an image that seem to have copy right problem. The previous image can be cropped if you dont like what is written on it. RaveenS 20:43, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
Hello!
I have done a extensive copyedit to the article on Dominic Jeeva (diff). However I have not been able to address the fundamental issue of whether or not he is still alive. Could you perhaps bring some clarity on that point?
Sincerely,--Oden 10:31, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

You've done this about a hundred times my vote-stacking friend, however it's Christmas time and I felt all jolly and wanting to call you out on it.

I challenge you to prove your statement that I vandalized that page, It's most blatantly obvious that you've branded every minor offence to your belief's on Wikipedia, but it's ironic though because you actually slap on a wiki policy that has nothing to do with the incident. For example, your blanking of the STF page repedidly then coming up with the tenacity to say "RV Blanking". Well, if your accurate in your words, I suggest you back them up, though I'm sure that you'll most likely ignore this message and let it fade away, as with any other call to justify yourself on your talk page. --Sharz 23:17, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
What did you need help with again. I think it had something to do with your block.--§Sir James Paul<<--wikiholic§ 02:17, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
I was accused for what I didn't do File:Cry-tpvgames.gif. But I will take necessary actions against that in near future . The funniest thing in that was, I'm currently communicating with three of my confirmed sock puppets through e mails and some how I made an approach to get their help on my future actions. Until that take some experience, because I will need your help desperately on that. Oh not only that, the person who submit that case was accused for vote stacking using multipel accounts and blocked indefinitely. --♪♫ ĽąĦĩŘǔ ♫♪ Walkie-talkie 16:48, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

Do you want me to try to get these sockpuppets unblocked? If so I think I can do it. I have helped get someone unblocked on meta wiki. --§Sir James Paul<<--wikiholic§ 17:23, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:BTR 80 diag.gif. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. When you use a generic fair use tag such as {{fair use}} or {{fair use in|article name}}, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. DarkPhoenix 20:55, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
