History

This company began when undergraduate Seth Higby founded a laundry business in order to support his education[1]. He ran a successful business, and then sold it when he graduated. This process continued until 1910, when the decision was made to expand the company by incorporating other businesses.[3] Today, SAI boasts seven businesses and is the second largest employer of students in the Ithaca area, only second to Cornell University.
