Added, Davidgoodheart. Did think this article didn't need an infobox but a map with a geographical location would be apt?--Kieronoldham (talk) 01:47, 15 September 2023 (UTC)
Please add some more sources to the sections where it says it needs additional citations for verification on Frood Fouladvand. Davidgoodheart (talk) 14:04, 20 September 2023 (UTC)
Sorry, cannae find much of substance for the sections in question, Davidgoodheart. Sorry - did try.--Kieronoldham (talk) 21:44, 21 September 2023 (UTC)
Thank you very much for the second barnstar, Kieronoldham. It feels good to help out this wiki, whether it be rewriting and expanding entire articles, adding infoboxes, fixing bare URLs, or talking to other users. And outstanding work with the Disappearance of Amy Billig article. ★ The Green Star Collector ★ (talk) 01:54, 1 September 2023 (UTC)
No worries. Just thought a diligence barnstar was more appropriate than an original one, The Green Star Collector. Two in a month ain't bad.--Kieronoldham (talk) 01:59, 1 September 2023 (UTC)
The Barnstar of Integrity
You deserve another barnstar for your contributions to the Disappearance of Amy Billig article, and I figured this one was most appropriate, as you've demonstrated integrity by helping to raise awareness of cases as tragic as this one. ★ The Green Star Collector ★ (talk) 23:53, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
Thanks, The Green Star Collector. Appreciated. Glad the efforts make approval. Some cases remain in my mind more than others and this is one of them. All the best.--Kieronoldham (talk) 00:50, 7 September 2023 (UTC) ★
Thanks for uploading File:Amy Billig Missing March 5 1974.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Found a PD-Pre1978 img. instead.--Kieronoldham (talk) 23:23, 14 September 2023 (UTC)
Hello Kieron,
Many thanks for your message and for the clarification. It did look as if you were "charging on", which struck me as unusual for someone with 40,000 edits. I appreciate fully that the BBC programme is but one dissenting voice, but my point is that it can't be ignored entirely: Prof. David Wilson is the expert in question, after all. I haven't been back to that article but feel it would be perfectly acceptable for you to add in a summary of what you said above in setting the BBC programme in context (or demolishing it if you feel that's appropriate) but most certainly without removing it. Further I don't see that I gave it any priority, merely added it as a source that adds to the debate. All the best Billsmith60 (talk) 15:03, 15 September 2023 (UTC)
No worries. It is just one documentary, though. Many "experts" have touted their opinions in books and documentaries over the decades. I really fail to see how one voice should become the emergent above the canopy, though, and be given undue weight of credibility. As the article mentions, "the number of named suspects reaches over one hundred." Regards, --Kieronoldham (talk) 21:49, 15 September 2023 (UTC)
Thank you for letting me know. My activity on Wikipedia has somewhat diminished since I started classes again, so your contributions to the article are greatly appreciated. As usual, feel free to reach out to me if there is anything else I might be able to help you with. ★ The Green Star Collector ★ (talk) 00:52, 28 September 2023 (UTC)
Please add 9 year old girl and her 11 month year old brother[2] to the List of kidnappings. And please be sure to fix it's source when adding it. Davidgoodheart (talk) 05:41, 28 September 2023 (UTC)
There is nothing in the link to indicate the case or incident regarding the girl to the list, Davidgoodheart. Can you elaborate on the case?--Kieronoldham (talk) 20:40, 1 October 2023 (UTC)
Please make me this userbox, this user HATES miserable wet days and stays inside when they occur. Davidgoodheart (talk) 03:40, 2 October 2023 (UTC)
Hi Kieronoldham, I'm notifying you that I have listed a dispute for a third opinion regarding the identification of Konerak Sinthasomphone's photo on the Jeffrey Dahmer page, under the section "Misidentification of Konerak Sinthasomphone's Photo". Your participation would be appreciated to help resolve the disagreement. You can find the Third Opinion request here. LateralusAD (talk) 22:49, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
Sure, LateralusAD. Ideal way to resolve concerns. I assure you this was discussed in depth a few years back. Both images are of Konerak; the one you cite as Somsack is a more recent image of Konerak. The image you state as "actually" being Konerak is of him a year or two prior to his murder. I'm guessing here, but I'll bet the media chose to predominantly use that image as he was smiling in the image and even younger than his 14 years. Here's an image of Somsack.--Kieronoldham (talk) 23:17, 29 September 2023 (UTC)
Thank you for the input; however, are you able to find a reliable source? Reddit contains mostly user-generated content, and is considered both self-published and generally unreliable. Interview responses written by verified interviewees on the r/IAmA subreddit are primary sources, and editors disagree on their reliability. See here for more information. LateralusAD (talk) 12:44, 30 September 2023 (UTC)
Obv. I'm aware - hence why I have never used the site as a source on here. Still, that's a yearbook scan.--Kieronoldham (talk) 19:52, 30 September 2023 (UTC)
