Hi Indefensible, Happy New Years! I hope all is well in you neck of the woods. Recently I've researched and wrote a few articles, they are unrelated.
One of the articles is a products and services article for Johnson & Johnson. Linked is my sandbox. Grand'mere Eugene and I talked through the concept, feel free to see our conversation on the talk page. We can include her and continue any further conversation there or on my sandbox talk page. Note: This article has over 100 sources.
Second, I noticed your interest with Technology. The topic article Urban Air Mobility needs work. I spent 6 months reading all the research papers and finding secondary sources to build out a comprehensive, balanced article. Linked is my sandbox. Please note: I will finish the references this week. Let me know if you want me to re ping you when its complete.

Hi Indefensible, my name's Gideon, nice to meet you. I'm hoping to help update the Mobileye article and have a COI, so I've put up some initial thoughts at Talk:Mobileye in hopes of getting a conversation started. I noticed that you've worked on that article in the past, and that you have an interest in tech and AI (and Teslas...) and thought you might be willing to take a look. Looking forward to discussing further with you, Gideon at Mobileye (talk) 12:58, 10 February 2022 (UTC)

Hey. I've added some background content to the article to help it meet GNG in advance of the the final list being announced in roughly 8 hours (announcement is at midday on 23 October, Beijing time). This is a little outside my regular content area, so if you have the time I'd appreciate it greatly if you could proof-read what I've written, and if there's any other sources you know of that may help, add em or send me a list of them? Otherwise, there's probably not much to do until the final list comes out, and to add the relevant content from that. Thanks :) Sideswipe9th (talk) 20:38, 22 October 2022 (UTC)

Hi Indefensible, I hope all is well with you. I was just finishing up a F500 article update request and thought of you. Currently the General Dynamics article is pretty messy and out of date. Right now I'm attempting to clean up the Lead, Corporate governance, and Timeline sections. Also, I noticed ESGfan's and created two proposed sections based on his work, Carbon emissions and Company Demographics. Here are the requests. Would you be open to review one or more of the requests in the collapsible talk page request? As always, thanks for any feedback or help in advance. Hi Indefensible. I hope you are doing well. I found your username on the list of editors who are active in Wikipedia:WikiProject_Companies/Participants. The article you mentioned at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sherbro Tuckers (2nd nomination) has no relation to the Sherbro Tuckers in Sierra Leone. It's perplexity.ai.
It looks a lot like google, but don't let that throw you off. It's not a search box, but a "prompt box". You can type just about anything in there. Search terms, questions, commands, instructions, text you want it to work on, programming code, etc.
It's touted as an AI search engine with a chatbot interface, but it's capable of a whole lot more.
It receives and answers communications in type-written natural language, and it is actually several AIs woven together.
At its core, is GPT-3.5 (4 if you upgrade), the same large language model that powers ChatGPT.
But, it avoids most of the problems with chatbot "hallucinations" by being required to formulate its answers primarily from the pages listed in its search results, which it generates after every prompt.
It's not suitable for writing WP articles, yet, because of potential derivative work copyright issues. But as an AI assistant, it excels. It can track down sources and present them in citation template format, it can analyze and make recommendations on AfDs, etc., etc., etc.
I've been using it as my primary search engine and general assistant since last February. Now I use conventional search engines for auxiliary support only.
Perplexity.ai provides 3 main benefits:
The most impressive thing about this technology, is that it is advancing rapidly. This thing gets better almost every week. And this team and all their competitors are working on entirely new versions. So, in 6 months to a year from now, the next generation of these will blow the current ones away. If you get up to speed on this one, you'll be ready for the next leap.
Tip: you can have it tell you all about itself, so you know how to use it. Asking about how to use ChatGPT is even better, because it basically has the same capabilities (both being powered by GPT-3.5, or 4), and there is a lot more material out there on the Web about ChatGPT. The general support info on perplexity around the Web is growing too, so that's useful to have it report to you about from time to time.
The thing can summarize the day's or week's news, boil down an ongoing situation (like a war, or climate change), and can suggest steps in a plan for almost any project you can conceive of, such as whatever you want to achieve on the Wikimedia projects. You can feed it an article and ask it what is missing.
In a very short amount of time, you will figure out how to make it do things I never dreamed of, and I would be very interested in reading about those.
Just click on the link provided, and start typing away.
It will even help you write prompts for it, if you ask it to.
I'll be around if you get stuck.
Good luck, have fun, and when you are ready to learn about, or apply perplexity upon, other tools, let me know.
Sincerely, — The Transhumanist 06:48, 4 November 2023 (UTC)
