Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Theroadislong was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

Seems notable, but definitely needs work. Look at articles for other indigenous chiefs, or even other CNMI leaders for how to best format the article. Plus, with a lot of information unknown or unavailable, there may be concerns around notability.

The consensus view of the Moriori has changed a great deal since ~1990. Some of these older sources no longer reflect the consensus view. Please use better, more modern sources.
Also (a) Māori has a macron (b) quite a few things here need to be wikilinked.

I don't understand why I had to remove the Koche source. I mean that's a primary source of someone who was enslaved. I don't hear about people questioning what Frederick Douglass writings or what he said about his enslavement. I51iM (talk) 23:21, 6 February 2024 (UTC)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Turnagra was:
Article is off to a good start and is well sourced, but needs a thorough prose edit before being considered for acceptance to make it sound like a wikipedia article instead of an essay. I'm also interested to know whether the proposed title is what reliable sources typically call this conflict, as I've usually seen it by other names.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.
This is the name I came up with. To be honest off the top of my head I don't recall or know other names for this conflict. Maybe the closest thing to that is this conflict being called a Musket War. What is a prose edit? I submitted very few articles to this website. I51iM (talk) 04:17, 12 May 2024 (UTC)
Never mind I'll look up what prose edit is myself. I was gonna ask again but I'll look it up myself. I should've just looked it up myself. I don't get why you say its like an essay. Maybe I came off as a little not neutral at the end maybe. I51iM (talk) 22:38, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
I don't understand why your saying its like an essay and needs a prose edit. I looked at the article and the only that seemed to not be prose was the word "engaged" in the Second Battle section which I replaced. I looked at the Wikipedia page that deals with how to write an article and don't see how what I wrote at the end is like an essay. I51iM (talk) 21:44, 31 May 2024 (UTC)
Sorry - I don't get notified if you reply here, so I had missed these. What I mean is the way the article is actually written (eg. the style) doesn't line up with how Wikipedia articles are usually written. For example, have a look at the pages for similar conflicts, such as the Musket Wars or New Zealand Wars. Compare how they're written to how you've written your article, and see what sort of changes you could make to make yours feel more like a Wikipedia article. Turnagra (talk) 19:38, 27 July 2024 (UTC)
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reasons left by Turnagra were:
Entire sections are still lacking references, which needs to be changed before this can be accepted. The writing style is also not really fitting with Wikipedia - I'd suggest looking at other similar articles and how they're written to get an idea. I'm also not sure whether there is enough material for this to be its own article, or whether it would make more sense for this to be part of the main Moriori article.

Since you mention its not supported by adequate resources maybe it should be a part of the main Moriori article. I looked over many resources. There's only so many sources on Moriori enslavement no where near the amount of sources on African American slavery. I wanted to make an article that focused on another side to the situation the Moriori faced from 1835-1862. The article during that time period focuses on the genocide. The Holocaust has many sides touched on not just the Jews so I thought why not focus on the Moriori slavery side. I51iM (talk) 19:44, 23 July 2024 (UTC)

I don't know if I can get a lot of more resources. There's only so many sources on this topic that I thought would be consider reliable by Wikipedia. I used a JSTOR source, Guampedia source(s) which is one the sources recommended by University of Guam, NPS.gov source, etc. The article should maybe be deleted. I didn't think I would have this much trouble getting an article on Wikipedia. I mean I can't get an article on Moriori Enslavement and neither an article on the Māori tribes Ngati Tama and Ngati Mutunga fightning each other. I51iM (talk) 05:20, 2 August 2024 (UTC)

It's all supported by at least one source. This article might wind up getting deleted because I found all or nearly every source out there I could on this topic. I51iM (talk) 23:11, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
