Hello, Myselfalso, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Hi, and welcome from me too! Be a bit cautious when you edit the templates such as Template:Disambig, because changes there have ramifications throughout the encyclopedia. The disambig template is "transcluded" to all the disambiguation pages, so when you edited the disambig-template here, the links to Central Dauphin High School and the school district turned up on every single disambiguation page we have. Ah well, I have made that kind of mistake at least twice myself. Happy editing! Sjakkalle (Check!) 14:33, 12 January 2006 (UTC)

Hi, I'm not sure this list is very useful. What would someone use it for? The list of participants in Olympic Games is rather similar to the list of countries in the world. The only interest in it lies in the differences between the two, but there are other ways to cover it. This is just a friendly observation, not a vicious criticism. If you want to carry on writing this list, I don't care. I just invite you to think about it a bit more. Grace Note 06:10, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
Hi. I am a bot, and I am writing to you with a request. I would like to ask you, if possible, to use edit summaries a bit more often when you contribute. The reason an edit summary is important is because it allows your fellow contributors to understand what you changed; you can think of it as the "Subject:" line in an email. For your information, your current edit summary usage is 3% for major edits and 25% for minor edits. (Based on the last 150 major and 8 minor edits outside the Wikipedia, User, Image, and all Talk namespaces.)
This is just a suggestion, and I hope that I did not appear inpolite. You do not need to reply to this message, but if you would like to give me feedback, you can do so at the feedback page. Thank you, and happy edits, Mathbot 04:20, 14 February 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Wii.PNG. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

I've made several large additions to the {{Infobox roller coaster}} template, which will require updating of EVERY article using it. These additions are automatic unit conversion for the statistics and automatic categorization. I have also provided full documentation of every parameter on the template page, which I strongly encourage you to read. Every article will need the following changes:
Also, the rcdb_number parameter should be added to every coaster article that doesn't have it yet.
If the article is about a widely-cloned coaster such as Batman: The Ride where the template covers multiple installations of the same coaster, the redesigned template will not be appropriate. For these articles, simply change the template to "Infobox roller coaster simplified". This is the old version, without all the automation.
I've already updated over 50 articles myself, but I can't do this all day and I'll need your help to get it done quickly. The list of pages using the template can be found here. I'm sending this message to all listed participants of Wikipedia:WikiProject Roller Coasters. Dusso Janladde 07:46, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading Image:Capital Beltway.gif. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

To all WikiProject Roller coasters participants: Brain Teaser, a kiddie coaster at Six Flags Darien Lake is up for deletion via WP:AFD. This isn't my article, but if it's deleted, it sets the prescident for many small coasters to be deleted, such as Mild Thing, which runs counter to the Coaster Wikiproject and also will make a lot of park templates look dumb since they can't include all coasters. Here's the shield: . Also, I can make a map for PA 39 as soon as we at the MTF get the map legend straightened out, which will probably be in a day or so, so stick around and I'll have a map for PA 39 soon.
It'll be tough to reach GA-status with any road-related article (I've been trying to do the same with New York State Route 104), but hopefully if we work hard enough on the PA 39 article, it'll get to GA-status in the near future. Regards, TMF T - C 21:58, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

Great job maintaining the PA Route status list. The user that you mentioned (Jjc104) has been making some questionable edits to some articles, specifically in terms of the browse system. I left him a message on his talk page, so we'll see what happens. I have no problems about renaming the stub template, but I don't know if this would cause problems with WP:WSS.
Also, I'd like you to give a second opinion regarding Pennsylvania Route 100. I tagged it as a stub earlier today (as it clearly does not meet all of the standards outlined at WP:PASH), but PAWiki removed the tag. If you could provide a second opinion on this, that'd be freakin' sweet. Thanks, TMF T - C 04:46, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
There are four articles being threatened by a merge proposal. The details are listed here Wikipedia:WikiProject_Pennsylvania#Announcements. Would you mind weighing in (hopefully in support) of keeping the articles. --evrik 01:29, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

Shalom myselfalso!
It was not my intent to upset anyone with the prod on the list of directv channels article. Per guidelines, I used the prod first because I wasn't sure any opposition existed -- The note I left on the talk page went several days with no response. It certainly was not a "threat to delete" (as you characterized it) -- prod may be removed by any user who contests the deletion. Next step is AfD, which is currently ongoing. I went ahead and bundled all the articles you suggested (though it may not have been your intent) into one "list of directories" AfD. I recognize the utility of the articles in question, but I interpret the Wiki inclusion policy fairly narrowly and believe that Wikipedia shouldn't try to "be everything" -- I'm all for transwiki or user-fy the information contained within. At the very least, these should be stubs of some more encyclopaedic article. Again, I did not mean for anyone to take the prod personally. ;-) /Blaxthos 15:24, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
Hi, I have seen that you are using the Cacycle editor extension. This program is no longer actively maintained in favor of its much more powerful successor wikEd.
wikEd has all the functionality of the old editor plus: • syntax highlighting • nifty image buttons • more fixing buttons • paste formatted text from Word or web pages • convert the formatted text into wikicode • adjust the font size • and much, much more.
Switching to wikEd is easy, check the detailed installation description on its project homepage. Often it is as simple as changing every occurrence of editor.js into wikEd.js on your User:YourUsername/monobook.js page.

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Kait Raymond, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at Talk:Kait Raymond. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. BFS The NCC-1701 was not launched under Captain Pike. It was launched under a captain before him, and an Animated Series episode says that it is Captain Robert April. However, TAS is not considered to be cannon. That having been said, there is no evidence that Captain Pike was the first captain of the NCC-1701." --myselfalso 15:05, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
I have a book from the 1960s titled The Making of Star Trek. It says that Captain April was the Captain prior to Chris Pike. I am not at home now due to the holidays but I could dig through the attic upon return home and quote a page number, if you like.
I recall a discussion about this in the old magazine Starlog some years ago. There was material (discussion, speculation, etc.) that CPT April had two 5 year missions, and Pike had two 5 year missions. This was to explain the age of the ship.
I have been watching all of the Star Trek series since the debut in the 1960s. I was in college then and it was difficult to wrest the dorm tv away from other more popular shows. I have read many of the early novels. So, comparatively, I have some knowledge of that time.
I noticed statements from Rick Berman, in 1990's interviews, that he would not follow the chronology of the novels. No reason given. Big Mistake. Is this what you mean by "non-canonical"?

Thanks for uploading Image:750px-US 422.JPG. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 04:24, 8 January 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nv8200p talk 04:24, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

Hey...sorry I didn't write to you before, but I've been super busy. I edited out the material you added to the HACC simply because it doesn't really add anything to the article. The whole point is to provide information worthy of being added to an encylcopedia style/type article...which I don't belive much of the information on Student Government, Clubs and Organizations really is. There are literally dozens of school sponsored organizations and over a hundred sanctioned clubs...should we list them all??? Lists are discouraged on wikipedia as per Wikipedia:Manual of Style. I have been adding articles for the greater Harrisburg area for quite some time now and I've been trying to go back over many of them and source/reference them accordingly. One of my many objectives is to rid articles of unworthy/unsourced blab. I hope you can see my point.
As far as the Midtown Campus goes...maybe the campus itself will be wholey part of the administrative functions of the Wildwood/Harrisburg Campus; however, according to these articles, the campus is officially going to be designated it's own "campus" within the college: , ,
With that, I really appreciate all your hard work, especially with the Wikipedia:WikiProject Harrisburg Area Roads. It's great to have other editors in the area that share my vision for providing more information about Harrisburg related-topics. Wrightchr (talk · contribs) 21:44, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

According to WP:USSH, links to California, Texas, and Virginia highways are supposed to have the state in parentheses most of the time. A disambiguation page gives the various meanings of a term, and is useful for both readers (in finding the article to read) and editors (in finding the article to link to). For the reader, either way is equivalent, but the editor would be better served with the parenthetical link. --NE2 22:35, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

Hey, saw you were a participant in the National Register of Historic Places WikiProject. I thought I would let you know that there is a new Collaboration Division up for the project. The goal of the division is to select an article or articles for improvement to Good article standard or higher. There is a simple nomination process, which you can check out on the division subpage, to make sure each candidate for collaboration has enough interested editors. This is a good way to get a lot of articles to a quality status quickly. Please consider participating. More details can be seen at the division subpage. IvoShandor 11:12, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

Hi, I've noticed in 2 articles that I've been editing that you've gone in and reverted changes I've made. Fortunately, you've reverted that so the page was "back to normal". I was just curious about how you've identified my changes (which are somewhat prescribed because I asked for a review of PA 39 and I-283 is clearly an intrastate interstate highway) as vandalism. If you're interested in working on highways, please help out! Stop by WP:USRD and check things out! --myselfalso 23:29, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

I uploaded the shield, which I designed, as a suggestion for pages related to West Virginia state routes and highways, but it was soundly rejected by the overseeing Wikiproject. I took a great deal of time to create the shield (because WV's shielding is too similar to other states), but I was treated with disdain by members of the Wikiproject for having even created it. Oh well. Mphamilton 17:52, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

You are right that re-reverting would be a bad idea. I have taken the question to the admin noticeboard for a wider review by people who are also aware of the policies. The images cannot stay in that article without a rewrite of our fair use policies, but I'm certainly not going after a "last defender of the Wiki" award or anything...
