Hassocks5489 is busy in real life and may not respond swiftly to queries.I have a number of off-Wiki commitments at present, in particular several publications and research projects I am working on in connection with my interest in modern British railway tickets. I will still be checking Wikipedia daily and monitoring my Watchlist and talk page. I hope to resume more regular activity later this year. |

Hi there, just wondering if you're still planning to review the audio file for the George Washington article as per the Spoken Wikipedia review list. If not, it's totally fine -- feel free to remove yourself from the list or I can do so. If you have already recorded the file please let me know. Thank you. |
hi, Hi, can you make a comment about my new project Encyclopine.org?
Hi, Hassocks5489.
I was pleased to see your photo of the K6 phone booth outside St. Mary's in Shoreham. Would you happen to have a phone number for it (if it indeed remains a public phone box with a number)? I am setting up an Easter Treasure Hunt remotely, using Google Earth, and would very much like to enable a small boy to cause the phone to ring. I'd be grateful f you could reply to gordonink at gmail.com before April 2nd, 2015.
Thanks in advance for your attention to the above,
Gordonink
I've been looking through listed buildings in B&H and I've come across this bridge. Biddle's Britain's Historic Railway Buildings thinks it's listed but I can't find any trace (I feel it should be, given its age and size, despite the later modifications). Biddle calls it "Lewes Road Bridge" but that name belongs to the demolished bridge on the Kemp Town branch. From his description, it's definitely the extant bridge at Moulsecoomb and the write-up is good enough that the bridge would comfortably meet the GNG with just a little bit more detail from other sources. Do you have anything on it, or on the history of the area? A reliable source for the name and its origin would be good! HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 15:09, 16 September 2024 (UTC)
Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}
to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:15, 19 November 2024 (UTC)

Hi, There are now the majority of war memorials in Surrey listed on the List of public art in Surrey page. I was wondering whether it might be a good idea to split them off onto their own page? I have already mentioned this to Mertbiol (talk · contribs). Regards Murgatroyd49 (talk) 11:57, 11 January 2025 (UTC)
Maybe check out User:MusikAnimal/confirmationRollback.js (I tested it, it works) or User:Mr. Stradivarius/gadgets/ConfirmRollback.js for more detailed configuration. Polygnotus (talk) 10:08, 14 January 2025 (UTC)
FYI, I've created a signup page: m:Meetup/Brighton/4. :) HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 19:27, 20 January 2025 (UTC)
