Thanks for supporting my RFA. I really appreciated the show of support and all the kind words from so many great Wikipedians. I hope I live up to them! -- Vary | Talk 17:41, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for participating in my RfA. It passed with a final tally of 98/13/10, just two short of making WP:100. If you need my help with anything, don't hesitate to ask. |

Seems an odd article to vandalize. Thanks for the rvv. Robert A.West (Talk) 22:34, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
I have put the link back which I orignally changed-I was trying to correct it, as it didn't work, but clearly I bodged-I thought the two sites were the same. There was only a spelling error originally. Its on Garden railway. John 21:38, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
Why did you delete information about this online magazine? If you would look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LSOL.com you will see that the discussion has been had that this is a OK link. If you deleted LSOL.com link you will need to remove the link to Garden Railways Magazine and Kalmbach as they are also profit business. Just becuase a business does not kill trees to provide information to people does not make it a resouce like a printed magazine? Please replace the information you delete on the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garden_railway page.
I've temporarily sprotected User talk:207.69.137.8, and will keep an eye on it before lifting. Thanks, — xaosflux Talk/CVU 04:05, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
I strongly support your deletion notice on the Clan Haruson page - I'd been wondering what to do about other pages with a Haruson theme. The writer seems to be very interested in certain ideas which are probably "original research". I'm also concerned about the Haruson, Praedicatum and Duke of Britain pages which seem full of material which would not be supported by historians, genealogists etc. - but as a newish user, am uncertain what would be the best thing to do about this. (These ideas have been added to several other pages as well.) Any suggestions? --HJMG 08:20, 18 March 2006 (UTC) PS Have you seen this? Possibly it's not exactly a hoax, more a personal "quest"?
I've now found the discussion on the articles for deletion page - and will add something there. HJMG 08:50, 18 March 2006 (UTC)

Check out the article from the same guy at Round buildings. Apparently he thinks the large monument at Salisbury is called "stone hedge". I sincerely hope this is nobody over 12, though I have run into high school seniors whose literacy is that marginal. Fan1967 19:32, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

You've got several options availible, and asking for advice from someone disinterested in the artilce (like me) is a good start. Without knowing any of the history, here's some options:
As for WP:EL while this is policy, it's one of the weaker policies (e.g. noone gets banned for it unelss they are an outright spammer) and if the link provides some free content that is related to the article, it may be worthy of inclusion. If only a certain page of the site has the content, change the URI to go directly to the file/page. — xaosflux Talk 01:14, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
Just a reminder that when you're welcoming new users (like User:Ajay Srinivas or User:Phantom Llama, for instance), don't forget to sign your comments, in case the newcomers would like to contact you, or find out who you are! Also, the welcome message should go on the user's talk page, not their user page. Otherwise though, good show for taking to time to do some newbie welcoming - cheers! --PeruvianLlama(spit) 06:46, 22 March 2006 (UTC)
Sorry, that whole post was not directed at you. Part of it was outrage that people would delete the entry without even considering the information. Considering the Professor Criteria, Dr. Hanifi is obviously more than qualified to be placed on wikipedia. Looking at his honors and the projects he is working on are extraordinary for any professor. Hello, Gwernol; I just wanted to thank you for reverting the vandalism on my userpage (with amazing speed, I might add!). So, I present to you a flower! — Webdinger BLAH | SZ 06:43, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
Me too. I have pissed a vandal off by getting an admin to indefinetly block him. This guy is vandalizes the page about the very school he goes to!!! (I go to the same school; in process on finding out who he is. :P) Typer525 03:37, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
I went ahead and blocked the vandal, so don't worry about it. I saw no evidence that he had stopped, just that he hadn't done it again right then and there. A 24 hour block will, hopefully, cement the point. Let me know if it doesn't. Just wanted you to know. I take vandalism much more seriously than others. Just wanted you to know.Gator (talk) 17:02, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
Hi, I see you deleted this article in response to my speedy deletion notice. Thanks, but.. could you restore the article? I have been discussing this with the author on the talk page and I think this needs to go to AfD given the author's objection. I expect that the AfD will result in the re-deletion of the page, but I want to give its author a fair chance to improve his article. Thanks, Gwernol 21:35, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
I'm not under the impression that people go through every article and decided to 'pick on' EGM NGR, I know how Wikipedia works. I didn't want to go further into useless arguments on the page, but I know that the article was originally nominated (right away, I'll point out, the article hadn't existed more than 10 minutes) for deletion by someone who dislikes NGR and wanted to frustrate us, knowing we couldn't yet find what was needed to pass WP:WEB. However, why replies have been so intensely against the article existing is beyond me, especially, as the list was kind of a point of, there are so many articles which fail the same notability tests that you wouldn't think editors would react as if they had seen some sort of abomination. The "false air of justifiability" comment was just further wondering aloud on this subject. Nobody likes to nominate established articles for AfD, just help if the ball's already rolling. I believe if the article had been hidden from those who hate the board and had grown to the size of other Category: Internet Forum articles, there'd be a much, much stronger chance that nobody unaffiliated with EGM NGR in any way would have tried to delete it. Now that the deletion seems imminent, we've basically given up on upgrading the article unless given a second chance. I do understand Wikipedia, and I do understand this: it's the unwritten politics of what does and does not get brought to attention that decide what stays and what goes, especially since a good third or more of the content here isn't deserving of a page but isn't findable for objections unless you were searching exactly for it. -- Viewdrix 01:39, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
I reverted most of the edits because this anon user did in fact add {{catmore}} to a bunch of arbitrary pages, without any regard to whether or not the article link generated from the template exists, or if {{catmore1}} should have been used instead. Therefore, it looks more this person was spamming pages. Zzyzx11 (Talk) 06:09, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
By all means tag a 'prod'ed article for speedy deletion, if it meats the WP:CSD. But please do not remove the prod tag when you do so. If the reviewing admin rejects your speedy nomination, it is better that the thing still can be deleted by prod. If the admin speedies it, the fact that there is still a prod tag on it will not matter. So nothing lost by leaving them on, and much gained if the speedy is rejected. --Doc ask? 01:27, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for helping me, I will try to do as you suggested.

Isaac is a real person and those things have been reported in news articles about him. No joke. No worries. During my vandal fighting I often find it easy to use IP-only User page diffs to find out who has been vandalizing individual user and user talk pages. It's always a useful tool. Thank you. Bobo. 06:17, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
No problem, it happens all the time. (Look at the deletion log for Archive 1) I actually messed up myself and moved it into your userpage/archive 1, luckily there were some admins online in #vandalism-en-wp :o --Rory096 00:19, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
These are a bad idea. They are not necessary, since information 2'3" is always goin to be 686mm. All the templates will do is place unnecessary strain on the server. That is unless of course you subst: them, but that obviates the point of replacing vanilla text with fancy templates in the first place. — Dunc|☺ 17:59, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
You recently reprimanded this IP for vandalism on 3/30. Specifically, you said something like "stop adding nonsense." However, I can't find anything in the IPs history that I would consider nonsense. Can you point it out to me? 208.20.220.72 18:02, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
