Hope 2007 is a blast for ya. :) -WarthogDemon 05:56, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
Hi, I have noticed that you often provide only a very short abbreviated deletion summary when you delete pages (like "a7" "nn-bio" and similar). Please keep in mind that most users do not know all of Wikipedia's speedy deletion criteria by heart. Please consider providing a brief "plain English" explanation without relying exclusively on "CSD jargon". Additionally linking to the relevant criteria so people can read it in full can also be useful, for example [[WP:CSD#A7]]
. This will help a "layperson" better understand why something was deleted when looking at the deletion log.
Most browsers have a autocomplete or other "form filling" features that allow pre-prepared boil plate texts to be inserted into web forms with just a few keystrokes. This is useful for inserting detailed deletion summaries without having to type out the same things over and over. Please consider looking into it. Thanks. -- Longhair\talk 10:09, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

A page titled "Michael Malvasio" was recently deleted by you. I just wanted to take a screen shot of it, just to have, and then you can delete it again. Can you please put it up for 1 more day, so we can take a screen shot. That would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for any inconvience we have caused you. Thank you in advance for your response and help.

An IP user has added as an external link to Veronica Finn. Although it is a link to a realestate site apparently run by Veronica Finn, is it considered a commercial link? The link actually helps verify some of the information in the article, so I'm wondering if the link is okay or not. Should it be removed? -WarthogDemon 04:19, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the advice, but I disagree about those pages being nonsense articles. Although I dont speciffically recall the articles, obviously an administrator agrred that it met the speedy deletion criteria as the articles were deleted. —Preceding unsigned comment added by EMT1871 (talk • contribs)

Re: Okay I understand, thanks for clearing that up. RedAlpha 05:15, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
But can you delete Kayla (Orca)? The article had been recently created, then had a db tag placed on it for already having an article at Kayla (whale). It was then changed into a redirect to the second page. I'm thinking it'd be best to have Kayla (whale) moved over there, for consistency's sake. We already have pages like that such as Keiko (Orca). -WarthogDemon 06:49, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

I am the Drummer for the page you deleted J.R. Castillo and Unwound. I started this page today and you deleted it. I know it needed some work, infact. It is going to take a lot of work. I did leave his web page and myspace pages on the wikipage in case someone though it was a nonsense article. I would appreciate a little more time to complete a page!! I was getting the documentation I needed to fill out the rest of his music singles and albums. If you don't think that he was worth noting, you should have waited to see that his "Surviving Emily" song hit number 1 in Texas Country. I hope you can restore it, because setting up all the code for the tables, colors, etc. was a pain in the you know what. I did not save the notepad doc that I was working with, because it was on Wikipedia. Please put my 2 hours of hard work back up so I can finish it.
And next time you could message the person in the discussion thread and give it a couple of days before DELETING IT.Lancemurphy 07:00, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
Yes I copied the table structure. The two hours of work was me floating around the different artists webpages to find a structure I liked. I thought the whole point of this wiki was to ultimately move towards a uniform structuring. All I asked for was my code that was ready for me to edit. I am sorry if I was heated, but you did just delete my work less than 12 hours after I created it. Please send me the code and I will build the subpage first. I had no idead you could build the subpage first. Thanks Lancemurphy 22:08, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

In Business card there is a lot of adding and removal of external link spam. I recently removed http://www.ibccsite.com/ - which admittedly is not as spammy as some of what gets added, and it appears other editors have left it there. However I feel it does not belong in the article. Tontot (talk · contribs) seems very dedicated to having it in place, and I would like a third opinion. Please explain why Mr. Winer's article does not fit the criteria for being deleted. He gained the noteability by claiming to have created RSS and for having been one of the first bloggers. Both major accomplishments that have been attributed to him are untrue. --Nirelan
Although Wikipedia is supposed to use independant sources this page is made based on information from Mr. Winers own website. That is clearly a violation of the wikipedia guidelines including sources must be written from a neutral point of view, and the no original researchpolicy. That means it violates two of only three content policies.Nirelan talk

Thanks. That was the first time I had run across a new article that needed to be deleted, and really had no idea what I was doing. I put the reason for deleting as vandalism, because it certainly was not a good-faith article, and the user had vandalized another page. Is there a more appropriate reason is usually cited in such stiuations? Thanks again. - BillCJ 07:43, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
Hi Gogo Dodo
Thanks for your involvement. I've also posted a little note about this one to User:Lar due to the previous edits of this user. If you look at history of Normans the IP obviously knows both me and User:Inge from before and accuses us of POV-pushing. Given this and the IP's previous edits to Commanche's talk pages, it looks very much like Commanche CPH has returned. Valentinian (talk) / (contribs) 08:33, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

Hi, and congrats on your promotion! Per this discussion, I'm dropping a friendly note to some of the recently-promoted admins requesting help with speedy deletions. I am not an administrator, so if you don't feel comfortable diving into deletions - or if you need more info - please don't come to me, but I'm sure that Cyde Weys would be happy to guide you if you want to help. Any help is great, but I'm sure that Cyde and others would deeply appreciate it if you could put the page on your watchlist and do a bit of work there on a regular basis? Maybe weekly? Thanks in advance! Oh and if you're already working away on CSD please disregard this message; it's not meant as a slight against any hard work you're already doing. Cheers! Hi a month ago you deleted the article about abortion titled "Fisherman's Choice" I am infact the author, under a new name Lordtortvillethegreat, formerly known as Lordtortville, but due to a messy run in with some of your administrators, I unfourtunately lost my posting privilages. I realise now that this article doesn't belong on Wikipedia, but have found a proper home on "Uncyclodpedia" Wikipedia's humorous counterpart. I, regretfully, forgot to save the original manuscript, so I fear it may be lost forever because of your deletion. I ask you then, is there a way that one might be able to recover the original text? Thanks.

Thanks for uploading Image:Dirtydvd a1xl.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Sorry I didn't make myself clear. The fact that it was taken from another source shows that the author was likely close to Thea, and very possibly the same author as the pdf I linked to. Its not a copyright violation if the author releases it, and putting the article up for deletion seems to me to smack of wp:bite. The speedy tag was for non-notability, thus the question of copyright had not been raised or addressed (it wouldn't have been hard to reqrite the article based on the material provided, had that been the issue). Thanks ... I appreciate you and the RC patrollers and other admins for taking care of the rash of vandalism of my pages and those of others.... You reverted the change I made to the clubs at Redlands High School. I know Wikipedia has a policy of no original research, but I also know that the club is called "Young Philosophes" instead of "Young Philosophers" becuse I am currently involved in this club. If you want, you can check out the Redlands High School website http://rhs.redlandsusd.net/ . The Daily Bulletin under "General Information" will probably have an announcement regarding Young Philosophes every other Monday. You revised some of the information that shouldn't of been revised. The information about the city being created shouldn't of been revised because it is a fact. I do know that some of it is useless but some of it is not in the trivia section. Well saying that you don't live in Cortland, Ohio, how do you know it is verfiable and notable. The Cortland Police does pull over cars that are out past curfew, McQuaid's selling beer is notable and verfiable because Cortland, Ohio was a dry town, and McQuaid's is the only place that sells alcohol in Cortland, Ohio. Everyone that goes to the Cortland Speedway can verify and note that Cortland Police does hang out there. The hill that everyone sleds on at Mosquito Lake is very notable because people do get caught and we advise against it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Thorisgod (talk • contribs)

You recently deleted this page because it did not display any notability. I am not saying your wrong, I'm just not quite sure exactly what would qualify as notable. They are a local band, but they are well known throughout the community, and are one of the most popular bands from the community. They have had concerts, but so far as I have known have not published and full albums. I didn't want to just remake the page because your probably right that they shouldn't have a page here, but I wasn't completely sure, so theres the full details; I just wanted to see if you still think they're not notable enough. -- Soldier9599 20:43, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

Your web site graphic of the purple heart "barnstar" is inappropriate and offensive to members of the United States Armed Services who suffered injuries to be awarded the medal. Hello Gogo Dodo, this is concerning the former article Spindel Lejon. First off, well done on the prompt response to the nonsense tag. However, I was hoping this content could be moved to WP:BJAODN as it quite humorous and I think other wikipedians might enjoy it. Any ideas? Wolphii 04:36, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
Sorry that I had that little gold administrator image on my user page. I copied some source from someone else's user page that was an administrator nad I didn't see it in there. Thanks for correcting it. --M79 specialist 19:46, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
FYI: You're meant to {{schoolblock}} in your block reason. -- Netsnipe ► 18:54, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
I'm referring to your block log. You're meant to actually use the template itself as your blocking reason so that users can actually see the template in full on MediaWiki:Blockedtext, otherwise they'll fire off confused/irate emails to unblock-en-l because many people don't even read their IP's talk page. By the way, I've fixed all your blocks and in future, don't hesitate to schoolblock K-12 schools and districts 6 months at a time since 99% of thier edits are vandalism anyway. -- Netsnipe ► 19:08, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
