Hello
Thank you for your response to my eight times table question on the Maths ref Desk recently. I will copy it out and try and find a friend who can 'translate' it for me or I will pursue trying to understand it myself! I have no mathematical knowledge apart from a very old O-level and have very weak arithmetic so have been using times tables instead of counting sheep. I was amazed when on the edge of sleep I noticed that the sum of the answers formed such a pattern.
I noticed on the the general discussion page for the Ref Desk there was a feeling that no-one said "thank you" these days, so I thought it appropriate to do so. I am not au fait with how Wikipedia works so cannot do anything fancy like awarding stars - I couldn't even find the 'edit' button to put my thanks under your answer! 80.176.84.184 (talk) 21:27, 3 May 2011 (UTC)
