Content for my deleted Page

Hi,

Thank you for taking the time out to review my page submission.

I have learned that you have deleted my page.

It states the reason : G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion (TW)

Would you please let me know what exactly was promotional in my page's content? I have tried my best to give a general opinion about the hotel and used a few articles as resources which talk about the hotel's recent events.

I would also like to view the content of the page as I don't have it saved anywhere else.

Since only you have the access to view the deleted pages, can you please give me the access to view my deleted page's content?

Once you let me know the reasons behind deleting my page,I will modify my content accordingly and submit it again.

@Anchal17: Hi, Draft:Hyatt Regency Mumbai was deleted because the nature of the page largely focused around the hotel's rooms, services, and facilities; it was promotional in nature more than anything else. There was a lack of significant coverage from independent reliable sources which establish the hotel's notability. Sorry to bother you again but please consider JW Marriott Mumbai which says that the hotel has great ocean view rooms and suites, which is also promotional. Why wasn't this page deleted? @Anchal17: Your draft page was deleted because another user marked it for speedy deletion as being overly promotional. JW Marriott Mumbai was not, but I will give it a look to see what needs to be done. Please note that this is a "other stuff exists" argument, which fails to address the concern of the page originally deleted. Pearse Park (Cambuslang)

Hi, I see you deleted this page last week due to lack of notability. I don't disagree with that, particularly as the park has not been used for its intended purpose for some time. However the land still exists (the goalposts have gone and the grass needs cut, but for the moment it is clearly a playing field# and in my opinion it is of minor interest to people living locally who may be unaware that it is/was a GAA field rather than rugby, so I am hoping to add some of the information as a side note on the page for the district where the field is located #Eastfield, Glasgow#. I am also planning more changes to improve that page. If you agree this would be acceptable, could you maybe send me the text of the deleted page if you are able to do so? Thanks. Hey, so I left a message last week and didn't receive a response! I was wondering if you could momentarily restore the User talk:Hildestad page for me? It was for a class that I'm in and I was leaving my work there for a friend and I to work on explicitly. I understand if this was violating any rules or anything, we won't continue to use the page, but we are in desperate need of the work that was on the page for the class. @Fanfiction2010: The content of the page meet two separate criteria for speedy deletion: WP:CSD#G3, which is the rationale of which it was deleted under previously, and WP:CSD#U5, as the content has absolutely nothing to do with building Wikipedia; Wikipedia is not a webhost. Hi there, I noticed you removed the lack of copyright info tag on this image of Han Fei (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Portrait_of_Han_Fei.jpg). I do not often edit image pages, so it's very possible that I've made a mistake, but as far as I can see the only evidence for the copyright status is the assumption of the uploader that the image is old, which does not to me seem like sufficient evidence. The uploader has linked a source which does not have any information of the age, artist or copyright status. The uploader suggests that the image is from the Warring States era, but it does not resemble the art style of that era, nor any era of Chinese history until the 20th century at the earliest. Perhaps I have gone about this wrongly, but I added the tag to allow anyone who had copyright information time to come forward. If there is no such information, then surely it should not be on Wikipedia? I have watched your page and patiently await your reply. Thanks for your time. Regarding the deletion of the image of Jens Peter Christensen.

Greetings Explicit, I realize you probably get a lot of inquiries regarding file deletion from people who haven't read the file criteria, so I'll just make it clear that I'm not trying to be angry or confrontational. You deleted a non-free file that I uploaded saying that it violated criterion 1 for fair use: No free equivalent. Non-free content is used only where no free equivalent is available, or could be created, that would serve the same encyclopedic purpose. As I explained in the template attached to the image, I have been unable to find a free image and also explained why there aren't any availaible from the body which the person works for. Have you found a free substitute or was there anything lacking in my reasoning? Or is it because of the second part of F7? On my local wiki we only use free images since our country doesn't have a fair use law, so pardon if I'm not understanding everything correctly. @InsaneHacker: Hi. Although the English Wikipedia allows fair use content to be utilized on the project, the non-free content criteria policy is specifically more rigid than the law in order to reduce such uses. For photographs of living people, non-free images are very rarely permitted under the first point of the aforementioned policy. Because Christensen is a living person, it is entirely plausible for a free photo to be created, even if one currently does not exist. Hi Explicit. Would you mind taking a look at File:Moaz AlShami.jpg. You've already deleted the file once before for lack of permission, and it has been re-uploaded by the same editor. Even if the editor is the person depicted in the photo, I still think that OTRS verification is probably needed since obviously the uploader did not take this photo. Hi again Explicit. Same editor has uploaded the same photo once again after you deleted it a second time. It has already been tagged for speedy deletion by Reddogsix per WP:G12, but I am guessing it will be re-uploaded once again after it has been deleted a third time. Any idea on how to proceed with this particular editor? They do not seem to be responding to any of the warnings posted on their user talk. A new user right for New Page Patrollers

Hi Explicit.

A new user group, New Page Reviewer, has been created in a move to greatly improve the standard of new page patrolling. The user right can be granted by any admin at PERM. It is highly recommended that admins look beyond the simple numerical threshold and satisfy themselves that the candidates have the required skills of communication and an advanced knowledge of notability and deletion. Admins are automatically included in this user right.

It is anticipated that this user right will significantly reduce the work load of admins who patrol the performance of the patrollers. However,due to the complexity of the rollout, some rights may have been accorded that may later need to be withdrawn, so some help will still be needed to some extent when discovering wrongly applied deletion tags or inappropriate pages that escape the attention of less experienced reviewers, and above all, hasty and bitey tagging for maintenance. User warnings are available here but very often a friendly custom message works best.

Some old refunds

I see that quite a few years ago you deleted Prince Edward Island Route 155 and Prince Edward Island Route 157, both as expired PRODs. I've just recently started reorganizing the PEI roads articles and for the most part these local highways don't warrant more than an entry in a list, but if someone else thought they were worth writing an article I'd like to take a look at them, if you don't mind emailing me a copy, plus any others in the "Prince Edward Island Route xxx" series if you know of them, I haven't gone through the entire series yet. Maybe it's time for a WP:G4 like speedy deletion criteria/template to be added for filesdeleted via FFD discussions? In your decision to close the discussion, you mentioned only F5. But the discussion is precisely about the fact that the file is probably free and thus not a case of F5. (The documentation was also provided in the description page of the file.) I think in this case the closing decision should include a rationale about why the decision concludes that the file is not free. I was away in Shanghai for 5 weeks for business trip and I notice the Donnie Yen pictures which I uploaded are gone. I am in the process of obtaining OTRS for the pictures. If I sent the OTRS emails to wikipedia this week, will the photos be reinstated? Or do i need to upload them again?

You deleted my The Bronx Times article. I do not know what your deal is and who do you think you are, but I will do my best to alert Wikipedia of your cowboy approach o handling things here. Your totalitarian approach of deleting my article without any dialog or help offered only shows your attitude of entitlement and impunity for your actions. My article stated the facts abut The Bronx Times. I do not have to be a rock star or to have somebody else, God knows who, write abut me and my online edition for it to exist and serve millions since 2006! Comprende? @Seriesphile: The statement on the ITTF website is insufficient to conclude that the copyright holder allows the modification and commercial use of its images. This is discussed and explained in detail here: Commons:Deletion requests/Photos from ITTF. Akwasi Frimpong Deletion

I am a contributor to Akwasi Frimpong's Wikipedia page, and was surprised to see it deleted recently. Frimpong is still a notable athlete, and is currently the first Ghanaian skeleton athlete competing internationally with plans for the 2020 Olympics. He has been racing in international contests as recently as just a few weeks ago. He also is head of BSF-Ghana, the Olympic committee-recognized bobsled and skeleton Olympic federation. Deletion of Lepin-logo.giv

I am new to adding media files and apparently did something wrong as you have deleted Lepin-logo.gif with an F4 reason. I don't understand what should be done to allow this logo.

I see many corporate logos on Wikipedia, from companies from around the world, and some of the people adding those logos seem to be unaffiliated with the mentioned company. This therefore leads me to believe the publicly available corporate logos are completely acceptable, as long as they are tagged in the proper way.

I disagree with the deletion of this file. It was created in 1926, meaning that it's only copyrighted in the United States if a notice was filed and it was renewed with the copyright office within 28 years of first publication. The probability of that occurring from a football club outside the country who wasn't in the top tier at the time is extremely low. Upon reviewing the records of the US Copyright Office for 1926, I see no notice there. Recent reverts

Fair enough on the out of process nature of the tagging. I was not aware of that fact when I put them up for G4. However, I do believe that they are still copyright violations and eligible for F9. Those photographs can be found all over the Internet. For example, File:Tank Project.jpg can be found here. The others are just the same. The files are going to be deleted in five days anyways when the, correctly done, FFD times out. I followed Wikipedia guidelines scrupulously, including getting opinions from the state university's freedom of information center and getting confirmation directly from the credited Flowood police department that took the image in question which explicitly stated that it was not copyrighted. I left an ample record of that correspondence. I would appreciate your restoring the image and restoring it as well to the article in question. Thank you. Flowood Police Department.jpg was properly tagged for deletion with {{ffd}} as policy requires. You were promptly notified of the discussion and the file's impending deletion here. Second, as an OTRS agent at the discussion explained, the people you spoke with were clearly incorrect in regards to the copyright of the image. There are very few states (less than five) where works by said state fall under the public domain, and Mississippi is not one of them. The image you uploaded is copyrighted and not under the public domain. The agency that took the mugshot distributed it widely to the media, hoping obviously that it got maximum exposure. The Flowood P.D. explicitly stated in an email to me that I passed along that it was not copyrighted. The Mississippi state Freedom of Information Center told me it was not copyrighted. The National Conference of State Legislatures indicated there was no copyright violation. So you have assumed, perhaps not entirely autonomously, but also not hardly unanimously, that your judgement supersedes theirs. I became aware that the incorporation of the mugshot in the Epps article was contested. I provided substantial information that seemed to satisfy those questions. I was never informed that any other Wikipedia editor differed. The tagging had been removed. I was never knowingly invited to or aware of the discussion as to its propriety had existed. Secondly, the reservation stated by Josve05a, "...one participant in the discussion stated rather clearly: I have verified permission by the policy agency that the image is free of copyright. Next, a reservation was expressed about the purpose of the inclusion of the mug shot into the WP article. I'd thought about that and looked at the articles on serial necrophiles I recalled: Jeffrey Dahmer (4 mugshots and his high school graduation photo), Ted Bundy (3 mugshots, ditto), Edmund Kemper (2 mugshots) and Gary Ridgeway (2 mugshots, who may have killed only slightly less than 100 young women). At least two of those four were cannibals. Two are still alive in prison, so I hope those weren't WP:BLP violations. Dahmer was killed by another lifer serving time for murder. Marchjuly wrote, ..sometimes it seems that these types of photos are being used more to further "punish" or "embarass" (sic) the individual than for encyclopedic relevance. I think care should be taken per WP:MUG I wasn't privy to this opinion, nor of the existence of WP:MUG. So I looked that up and it follows here: Images of living persons should not be used out of context to present a person in a false or disparaging light. This is particularly important for police booking photographs (mugshots), or situations where the subject did not expect to be photographed. So here's the contextual light in which the feelings of the subject of the article might be assessed. He and his bagman colluded to take a minimum of $1.4 million in bribes to write a minimum of at least $65 million in public contracts. That included splitting tens of thousands monthly for years from the for-profit prison operators to keep the lid on dozens of corrupt contracts, but most especially the one holding mostly teenagers at the unspeakably violent Walnut Grove Correctional Facility for which the pair got $12,000 a month. The Department of Justice, thanks to whistleblowers, got involved, as did the ACLU and the Southern Poverty Law Center. From the lede to the article at: Walnut Grove Correctional Facility: In the court ruling, Judge Carlton Reeves of the Federal District Court wrote that an assessment of its conditions "paints a picture of such horror as should be unrealized anywhere in the civilized world."Press reports indicate the jail was run by gangs which included corrupt prison staff. The federal Justice Department said that rapes of younger inmates was common. The floors of that prison were slick with blood, almost daily. It had been accredited with top marks from the American Correctional Association of which Epps, who was acutely aware of the actual conditions there, was the President. He only resigned when his indictment was made public. He may not actually have expected to have been photographed for his most recent mugshot, only because he didn't expect to be arrested for the Halloween burglary of the home that he'd turned over to the Justice department maybe 18 months earlier. Epps made plea bargain deals to wear a wire and give up many of the bribe suppliers in exchange for a sentence of 23 years, a much lighter term than could be expected for his crimes. I can't recall precisely how I found out about the proposal to delete the photo, but I think it was because I noticed the tag which was removed. I've looked in my notifications and alerts going back a year, almost all of which I've retained, and it isn't there. I may have somehow inadvertently deleted it, but I never saw the discussion before today. Now you, Explicit, have indicated there was a consensus to delete. That certainly wasn't my impression at the point of my last communication with the OTRS volunteers, nor is it my impression now, and some of the discussion in the archived article took place before the information from me which I thought had resolved the issue was received. I'm wording this carefully to maintain confidentiality of the OTRS ticket, so my apologies, but I will not be able to expand on anything I say. Perennially, we face the problem of incoming emails from people who do not understand copyright law. We cannot treat what these people say as fact when it comes to the state of the law. The reality is that there is no law in the state in question which releases photographs taken by local or state employees automatically into the public domain. The ticket did not contain a valid statement of permission that released the image under a free license. One could still be submitted, but until it is, the file should remain deleted. Improper image deletion

You closed Wikipedia:Files for discussion/2016 July 5#File:Knowledge Network logo.svg as "delete", but this image is substantively different from the existing logos at Knowledge Network, to the point that words alone simply do not suffice to describe the changes. Furthermore, you almost certainly didn't consider an extremely important point that is specific to this article: all of the other images are stated to be public domain. @Mdrnpndr: Being "different" from the other logos is not a sufficient enough reason to use a non-free logo in a gallery; WP:NFG discourages such usage. The one "keep" vote failed to properly address the nominator's concern (and following "delete" opinion which is founded in WP:NFCC#8). Remember: per WP:NFCCP: There is no automatic entitlement to use non-free content in an article or elsewhere on Wikipedia. — ξ^xplicit 04:34, 2 January 2017 (UTC)

The nominator's rationale was utterly incorrect per WP:NFCCP, and I quote: "Multiple items of non-free content are not used if one item can convey equivalent significant information." (emphasis added) This criterion simply does not apply here, because there are not "multiple items of non-free content", but rather only one item. There was no other criterion mentioned anywhere in the discussion, including by yourself, and the "delete" opinion you're referring to uses a spurious argument, as the presence of a very different logo would indeed "significantly increase readers' understanding of the article topic" (consider readers who vaguely remember the channel from years ago, for example). @Ruthven: Hi, the images are not the same. The deleted file shows the subject sitting down at a table with a glass of wine, facing forward, and in a sky blue button-down dress shirt. Needing to make serious additions but you've deleted it.

The Viva Hypnosis - just around the time you deleted it, became the first stage hypnosis show in over 15 years to perform in the West End of London and be granted a Hypnosis Licence by Westminster Council. This is a huge deal, was newsworthy and generated press and needed to be updated on wiki. Unfortunately, you had deleted this page under suspicion that it was not explicitly, but somewhat promotional and MAY have broken a Wiki rule - before anybody could get to the page to update it with these facts and references. Please can I put in an appeal to request that this page is reinstated so it can be updated with the relevant references and facts that make this page considerably more notable than it was before. It appears that you deleted the entry for this non-partisan think tank based out of Washington, D.C. and Dearborn, MI for reasons of "G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion."

I would like to write a new entry for this organization, which is notable for having received coverage in third-party news sources including but not limited to Al-Jazeera, The Detroit News and Free Press, the Los Angeles Times, The Cavalier Daily, National Public Radio, Patheos, FiveThirtyEight, and the Chicago Tribune (A cursory Google search of the organization reveals its notability.)

Would you please tell me if it was the content of the previous entry that led to deletion or the very existence of the entry itself?

Bangladesh Cricket Board Logo

Hi Explict. File:Bangladesh Cricket Board Logo.svg was re-added to Bangladesh national cricket team by Ashhab1323 with this edit despite them being advised about non-free image use at User talk:Ashhab1323#Non-free image usage. I didn't notice the edit until today when the file's page showed up on my watchlist. I've reverted them and was going to post something else their user talk, but noticed that Ashhab323 never responded to the previous thread. In fact, it looks like they hardly ever post anything on any talk page. So, I'm wondering whether communicating in English might be hard for them. Any suggestions on what to do in such a case? Kamehameha Schools Song Contest

Hi Explicit. You deleted Kamehameha Schools Song Contest as a prod deletion back in December 2016, but it was recreated shortly thereafter by Kamehamehasongcontest. That account was soft-blocked for a user name violation, but the same person might still be adding content as an IP. Regardless, I can see no evidence that this particular song contest satisfies WP:GNG or even WP:NEVENT. All the sources provided seem to be primary sources or user-generated stuff. I was going to prod it, but didn't notice the previous prod unitl I looked at Talk:Kamehameha Schools Song Contest. You recently deleted a photo for not having evidence of copyright ownership. A form confirming the rights was sent to wikimedia along with confrimation of the rights held (essentially it was a photo taken by me on a mobile device with the permission of the Artist). I generally find Wikipedia difficult to find my way around and experianced users can give non experienced users a hard time because of the coded language. ZE:A Disbandment

Hello, i'll get to the point. First of all, ZE:A is still active. There's no OFFICIAL announcement for the group's disbandment. Star Empire Entertainment indeed said that the group's contract has ended but the agency DID NOT SAY anything about the group's disbandment. They said they are still in talks with the members for the contracts renewal. Junyoung's post on IG did not mean that the group is OFFICIALLY disbanded. Star Empire Entertainment still manages the members' activities, they also still UPDATES their schedules.

Second, please STOP editing the wiki page and saying that ZE:A is disbanded.

Image deleted by you

Hello. I added an attempt at an explanation on why Gazzo6.jpg image which had been used since 2005 in the Jane Gazzo article should be kept after it was recently flagged for non-fair usage. Been editing Wikipedia since January 2005. The image was irreplaceable and not reproducible. It was a webcam shot in a studio in BBC London during a Radio 6 broadcast. I'm going to retag this image as replaceable fair use. She is alive, and per WP:NFCC #1, we do not accept such media. There's substantial discussion regarding the general issue at Wikipedia_talk:Non-free_content#Replaceable_fair_use_for_retired.2Fno_longer_publically_active_living_individuals and even the original uploader now grants it was a mistake (see this). There are no secondary sources that support her earlier visual appearance as being a significant aspect such that we need to have an image of her earlier appearance per WP:NFCC #8. @Alan Rockefeller: You uploaded the image twice, and I deleted it the first time. In that instance, there was no license provided. The only content on the description page was the following: "Leccinum arbuticola by Alan Rockefeller. San Juan Ridge, California. See also http://mushroomobserver.org/225259". The link did not contain any statement for me to conclude what its license was.
