A tag has been placed on Highways Of The Dominican Republic, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. If you plan to add more material to the article, I advise you to do so immediately. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Yuser31415 05:19, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
To create an rfa, please follow the instructions at WP:GRFA. You have to create the page before you add it to WP:RFA. Please don't add it again until you've created it. Thanks. Picaroon 03:49, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading Image:FogarateJ.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

A tag has been placed on Aster(Cable), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. John Reaves 08:05, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

Notability guidelines for companies are at WP:CORP. The most important thing is finding outside sources. Has the company been covered in any newspapers or magazines? That would show its notability. NickelShoe (Talk) 20:38, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
Please please please, withdraw your RfA. You stand 0% chance of success so early in your time here; I'll be surprised if you get a single support !vote. All that you'll achieve is to make your chances of a successful RfA in, say, six to ten months, far less likely, as editors will view your actions now as a bad sign. I went through this yesterday with User:Foundby and it was awful. Please withdraw. --Dweller 09:34, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Aster(Cable), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at its talk page. Removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, but the article may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. Thanks for uploading Image:Alcazarsd.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Alcazarsd.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.
If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.
If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. Sherool (talk) 08:43, 1 March 2007 (UTC)Sorry about the quick speedy, but I'm not psychic. I base these things on what's there, not what's going to be there. What was there in the intial version was speedy-able due to language. After is was modified, it was okay, and I withdrew the tag immediately with no problems. Thanks again. Finngall 05:48, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Alan Boguslavsky, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. 172.130.159.15 11:01, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

Hello, Edwin I saw your post on my comment page. I appreciate your compliments, but they don't belong to me. I have done some minor work on the Santiago de los Caballeros article, but far from a "great work". Those compliments belong to someone else. Anyway, I'm willing to strive for a "great work" of my own :-). Do you have anything in mind? I have a few pictures I took a couple of months ago... we could use some of those. We'll keep in touch on that topic. I'd really love to see a better article about "La Hidalga de los 30 Caballeros". Dominican 18:31, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

Hola Edwin, article is well written, done extensive small corrections, I believe you should merge Ciudad Trujillo into article so we can eliminate infobox, the map of Santo Domingo Metro should be eliminated and used exclusively with the Santo Domingo Metro article, we may need a better image for (UNESCO Box) "Colonial City of Santo Domingo" and image: "A view of Santo Domingo" is terrible, I would eliminate this one, we need some additional high quality photos! Also a section on Music; “Merengue or Bachata” would not be a bad idea, witch is where internationally known by Juan Luis Guerra was born.
You may question changes I've done, let me know your thoughs! It still may need some polishing up!, Cheers – Moebiusuibeom-en 18:44, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
Hey, did some "tweaking" here too, tried to fusion together Ciudad Colonial with Zona Colonial District since Ciudad Colonial is Articles Name and it's also UNESCO's name but apparently to the masses its known as Zona Colonial District, please clear me up on this subject and if changes i did don't make sense let me know, I've also re-rated articles since I believe they where truly underrated – Moebiusuibeom-en 03:03, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
um!!by the way did you re-rated the Articles of Zona Colonial (Ciudad Colonial) and Santo Domingo??? they seen to have the same rating as before because they had Start Class Already and i believe that the Santo Domingo article should be rated B-Class? shouldn't it?

Hello, Edwin I've seen that the DR article doesn't have a neutral point of view, but worst of all, that several editors (which I think it is only one, two at most) make it look like we are vandals if we try to correct anything! It's going to take a loooong time to correct, but I think it can be done. We just need to do our homework, find better references than "hispaniola.com" and "stay cool", because if we don't, we might be considered the vandals. I suggest we start with the History section. What do you think? Dominican 05:25, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading Image:Bunbury.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
{{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Seraphimblade Talk to me 23:11, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

On review, I think you clearly have violated WP:CIVIL and WP:NPA several times in the last several days. However, it also appears that you realized that, and have stopped on your own. I would like to commend you for realizing that and restraining yourself. Please be aware that our policies on discussion (see links above) staying polite are policy, and if you cause abuses in the future you will be warned, and possibly blocked if you do more serious abuses on a repeated basis. I don't see any reason to do anything right now, as long as you realize that you were going too far and don't do it again. Georgewilliamherbert 20:25, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:El Espiritu Del Vino.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:45, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading Image:00249161 31431f8eb6 b.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 13:45, 5 June 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Liftarn 13:45, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:METRO-RUTA.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 15:40, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

Hola compatriota.
AvFnx 03:47, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on The Human Abstract, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable (see the guidelines for notability here). If you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.
Please read the criteria for speedy deletion (specifically, articles #7) and our general biography criteria. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. ¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 00:52, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Cap Cana, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.
If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}}
on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. 200.88.101.105 (talk) 16:28, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:LogoLD.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 04:44, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

An editor has nominated Supplemental Application, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Supplemental Application and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 09:59, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

Hello EdwinCasadoBaez! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 317 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:
A tag has been placed on Isaac Cespedes requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Clockbox (talk) 18:38, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
Thank you for uploading File:DR-2 San Cristobal-Bani 3.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. ww2censor (talk) 04:55, 9 March 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Zona Colonial 9.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 13:14, 23 March 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. After Midnight 0001 13:14, 23 March 2010 (UTC)
Essentially what you want to be doing is listed at WP:PERM - try replacing the deletion message {{OTRS-pending}} if the wording of that template is appropriate for your case. That should allow you sufficient time to get all the paperwork done. - Jarry1250 [Humorous? Discuss.] 18:11, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
Thank you for uploading File:Tabu Tek.jpg.
Thanks again for your cooperation. ww2censor (talk) 15:44, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
In the afternoon, we will hold a session dedicated to meta:Wikimedia New York City activities, review the recent Wikimedia Chapters Meeting 2010, plan for the next stages of projects like Wiki-Conference NYC and Wikipedia Cultural Embassy, and hold salon-style group discussions on Wikipedia and the other Wikimedia projects (see the March meeting's minutes).
In the evening, we'll share dinner and chat at a local restaurant, and generally enjoy ourselves and kick back.
You can add or remove your name from the New York City Meetups invite list at Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC/Invite list.
To keep up-to-date on local events, you can also join our mailing list.

A tag has been placed on Rita Indiana y los Misterios requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ttonyb (talk) 22:43, 28 July 2010 (UTC)

Our next Wikipedia NYC Meetup is this weekend on Saturday Dec 4 at Brooklyn Museum during their awesome First Saturdays program, starting at 5 PM.
A particular highlight for the wiki crowd will be 'Seductive Subversion: Women Pop Artists, 1958–1968', and the accompanying "WikiPop" project, with specially-created Wikipedia articles on the artists displayed on iPads in the gallery.
This will be a museum touring and partying meetup, so no excuses about being a shy newbie this time. Bring a friend too!
You can add or remove your name from the New York City Meetups invite list at Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC/Invite list.
Dear Edwin! Is it possible to scan some pages from a script holding by Columbia University Library? I can't get this script anywhere here in Germany, so I am very hoping to get any help from you. Thank you very much for an assent or a reply. Greetings, Doc Taxon (talk) 18:03, 20 January 2011 (UTC)
