Black On High (talk · contribs)—A-ha-related articles, Mark Lanegan discography, Lostprophets etc... I saw him add links to Norwegian Wikipedia too. indopug (talk) 10:14, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
This is unfortunately the only picture we have of this serious natural disaster (if the flooding was in the southern US rather than southern China, we might have more options). If you have another suggestion, or maybe there's a way we could crop the current picture, that would be appreciated. The last picture up was one of Paul Pierce, which I rotated out after 24 hours.--Pharos (talk) 18:02, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Congratulations Grade I listed buildings in Greater Manchester has been selected as a July WP:LOTD. It will appear in the WP:LOTD template for one day as an LOTD. If you have any preference on a days during July let me know before June 24th. If you have any other lists that you feel should be nominated next month please ad them at User:TonyTheTiger/List of the Day/Nominees/200808.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 20:24, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
You did, but it was no big deal :-) Gwernol 14:50, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for the link. I don't see what is so complicated about "The following discussion is preserved as an archive... Please do not modify it" though. You don't go edit someone's RfA and change your vote because of some personal vendetta, that is quite disruptive. Nothing close to that sort of completely unacceptable email nonsense, but two wrongs... That said, this is exactly why I don't support people at RfA I don't know :). Hello again; call me paranoid but something about this guy--Linkins Parkl (talk · contribs)--screams Wellwater Conspiracy. He's just joined today and he's already submitted an FLC. He's kickstarted the Rock music Wikiproject and has been tagging articles on a spree; especially those that his previous socks have worked on (Soundgarden, a-ha). He's also doing his typical genre-addition edit-warring in the Soundgarden article. I found him by his tagging of "Touch Me I'm Sick", an FA of mine whose talk page has been visited by three socks of his! I'm also pretty certain 88.88.53.242 (talk · contribs) is his sock. I trust your judgement :) indopug (talk) 18:28, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
Curiouser and curiouser. Check the bottom of my talk page! I'll AGF for now I think. indopug (talk) 19:16, 24 June 2008 (UTC)

Hi, do you agree that the consensus here is in favour of the merger? Do you feel strongly that the East and West Didsbury articles ought to be kept separate? I'd like to knock this on the head one way or the other now. --Malleus Fatuorum (talk) 20:12, 24 June 2008 (UTC)

Hi, A while back i requested rollback, and was denied (on the grounds I didn't have enough experience). I was just on RC patrol now and saw you make a comment to someone about rollback also being too new, and needing ideally 500 contribs. But i wanted to know:
Thanks, --nappymonster (talk) 16:07, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
Thank you so much for your kindness to me in this awful time. You and others here are giving me the strength to get through the days ahead. Your kindness to me will never be forgotten. I hope one day I can repay it when I resume my normal editing. Jeffpw (talk) 15:49, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
Thank you for !voting on my RfA. If you supported, I'll make sure your confidence is not misplaced; if you opposed, I'll take your criticism into account and try to adjust my behavior accordingly.
See you around the wiki!--SarekOfVulcan (talk) 00:12, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
Good spotting, eh, Rrrrrrrudget? :) Acalamari 16:07, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
Thanks, but I wonder she agrees to remove her comment at RFA after a scar being left in each other's mind. This is her comment about me. If they are deleted, I would very appreciate you and her. --Caspian blue (talk) 20:10, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
Thank you, Rudget, for your support !vote at my RFA. I will be doing my best to make sure that your confidence has not been misplaced. --lifebaka (Talk - Contribs) 18:46, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
Thank you for granting me rollback. And yes, I will take your advice. Chamal (talk) 15:26, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
I had something in mind with this but that's ok, cheers, Gwen Gale (talk) 00:04, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
An Arbitration case in which you commented has been opened, and is located here. Thank you for your support in my recent RfA, which closed successfully. I felt the process was a thorough review of my contributions and my demeanor, and I was very gratified to see how many editors took the time to really see what I'm about and how I can be of help to the project. As a result, some editors changed their views during the discussion, and most expressed specific, detailed points to indicate their opinion (whether it was , , or ).
A number of editors were concerned about my level of experience. I was purposeful in not waiting until a particular benchmark occurred before requesting adminship, because I feel - as many do - that adminship is not a reward and that each case is individual. It is true that I am not the most experienced editor around here, but I appreciate that people dug into my contributions enough to reach the conclusion that I seem to have a clue. Also, the best thing about this particular concern is that experience is something an editor - or administrator - can always get more of, and I'll continue doing that, just as I've been doing. (If I seem a little slow at it, feel free to slap me.)
Your supporting statement meant a lot to me. Thanks for taking the time to dig through my contributions.
I am a strong believer in the concept that this project is all about the content, and I'm looking forward to contributing wherever I can. Please let me know if I can be of any help. In the meantime, I'm off to school...
Thanks again!
Not sure if you have seen this? I remember you once told me that he'd have to give a pretty sound apology to the community if he were to be allowed to edit again... So I'm wondering if a single user giving him a second chance is normal/allowed? indopug (talk) 22:31, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

Hello Rudget. Its been a while. You probably remember me from when you gave me rollback, and then got it revoked. I just wanted to say I'm sorry I let you down when you first offered me rollback. I've improved greatly from what other editors and admins have told me, most admins offered me rollback but I declined most of the offers until I accepted one. Anyway, I came to tell you I've reviewed your DYK nomination of The Towers (Manchester) here. Please reply here and/or Template talk:DYK. Thanks, RyRy (talk) 20:59, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
Rudget, do you think you can expand Daily Express Building ~500 more characters? Its unfortunately too short for DYK at the moment. « Milk's Favorite Cøøkie 22:39, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

As you may know, the StatusBot responsible for maintaining the status of the Highly Active Users was taken offline. We now have a replacement in the Qui status system. This semi-automatic system will allow you to easily update your status page found at Special:Mypage/Status which the HAU page code is now designed to read from. If you are already using Qui (or a compatible system) - great! - no action is needed (other than remembering to update your status as necessary). If not, consider installing Qui. You can also manually update this status by changing the page text to online, offline, or busy. While it is not mandatory, the nature of HAU is that people are often seeking a quick answer from someone who is online and keeping our statuses up-to-date will assist with this. Note if you were previously using your /Status page as something other than a one-word status indicator, your HAU entry may have been set to "status=n" to correct display issues. Please clear this parameter if you change things to be "HAU compatible". Further questions can be raised at WT:HAU. This message was delivered by xenobot 23:09, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

hello
i recently undertook a major revamp of the Kirkcaldy article. although my work has been praised by a couple of users. i wonder if you won't mind looking at Kirkcaldy to do some copy editing work, as i would like to put the article for a peer review for GA status, if you can Kilnburn (talk) 15:49, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

You've just granted rollback to a two week old account with only 40 mainspace edits – AGF and all that, and I'm certainly not going to wheel-war over it, but is that really wise? – iridescent 01:42, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
