The Wikimedia Foundation is planning a global consultation about communication. The goal is to bring Wikimedians and wiki-minded people together to improve tools for communication.
We want all contributors to be able to talk to each other on the wikis, whatever their experience, their skills or their devices.
We are looking for input from as many different parts of the Wikimedia community as possible. It will come from multiple projects, in multiple languages, and with multiple perspectives.
We are currently planning the consultation. We need your help.
We need volunteers to help talk to their communities or user groups.
You can help by hosting a discussion at your wiki. Here's what to do:
You can also help build the list of the many different ways people talk to each other.
Not all groups active on wikis or around wikis use the same way to discuss things: it can happen on wiki, on social networks, through external tools... Tell us how your group communicates.
You can read more about the overall process on mediawiki.org. If you have questions or ideas, you can leave feedback about the consultation process in the language you prefer.
Thank you! We're looking forward to talking with you.

Thank you for your corrections to the List of people from Guernsey and the List of people from Jersey. Many attempted additions are of non-notable people from the Channel Islands, and some are of completely irrelevant people, with or without articles.
You have probably seen my additions of people and inline citations, and creation of matching biographies. If you ever see the an attempted addition of a notable person from Guernsey or Jersey, please let me know on my talk page.--Dthomsen8 (talk) 17:56, 23 March 2019 (UTC)

The file File:MusicalnotesPoland.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
unused, low-res, no obvious encyclopedic use
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 7 May 2019 (UTC)

Hi, I made an edit on , that you reversed - the page says requests should be made there for new business page requests. You said not - where else should it go? It said add to the page if a for profit company - which I did, so am really unsure where else it should go? The sub pages it references are non-profit, related articles and people in business. Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.106.203.54 (talk) 09:37, 11 May 2019 (UTC)

Hi Bruce, I was trying to get someone to write an article on the company I work for and posted the request here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Requested_articles/Business_and_economics/Companies/T-Z ; I received a response from you saying this is not the right page to post in. Can you please let me know where I can take this request? I am looking to publish this article as soon as possible. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ayyappan Ramachandran (talk • contribs) 07:01, 21 May 2019 (UTC)

On 10 June 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Mickey au Camp de Gurs, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Horst Rosenthal's 1942 comic Mickey au Camp de Gurs is "perhaps the earliest sequential art narrative dealing with the Holocaust"? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Mickey au Camp de Gurs. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Mickey au Camp de Gurs), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Hi Bruce 1ee, My name is Bob Drake, and the article in question is this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Drake_(musician)
It's very out of date, mostly dwelling on stuff from decades ago, and I feel it gives a wrong impression of my music, especially the terrible description "Deliverence in the hands of Hitchcock". (sadly, when people not familiar with the banjo hear the instrument, they think of the film Deliverence...it's a real shame...)
There are some broken links, and no mention of my solo tours which I've been doing for years now. Also, the photos are nearly 13 years old! I have asked some of the people who have taken recent photos of me to replace them, but they always revert to those very bad, and very old ones.
What would I have to do to beg someone to make some changes? I don't like sending anyone to the article because it's so out of date...
Please let me know, thanks! Bob — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.249.137.116 (talk) 15:26, 30 July 2019 (UTC)
Hi Bruce, yes you can use the email at my webpage you mentioned above. Thanks SO much for changing the photos, if that was you! I'd also like to remove this dead link, which goes to an old page at some strange archive site, which they have archived without my permission, and never reply to my requests to remove it: https://archive.is/20080115070923/http://cabinetofcuriosities.bdrak.com/ It was also a pretty insignificant episode in my carreer, a single tour with a handful of gigs, a one-time band, playing for empty rooms mostly, and the page was certainly never meant to be archived forever.
The other parts need serious updating, but it's all a bit overwhelming and I don't know where to begin. Things like: "Drake recorded six solo albums between 1994 and 2005." and: "Drake released his first solo album, What Day is It? in 1994. It was a limited edition (1,000 copies) self released record that Drake pressed himself.[2] He later made five more solo albums," It makes it sound as if I stopped after the first six albums, but I've carried on just as regularly since then, perhaps even moreso.
And one of the worst things anyone has ever said about my music is this: "Deliverance in the hands of Hitchcock".[5]" That's so horrible! Unfortunately I know why the writer said it, because they don't know any banjo music except that bit from the film Deliverance, but the writer's own musical ignorance shouldn't cast that pall over an artists' work, if you see what I mean :) I feel that description, comparing my music to a brutal, violent, unpleasant film, and a director famous for grisly murder scenes etc, gives people a completely wrong impression of my music and lyrics which are much more friendly. I did those two short horror-comic albums, The Skull Mailbox and Other Horrors (2001) and The Shunned Country (2005), but there's not a murder to be found anywhere, no Deliverance-style brutal rapes, and any strange event is always due to a supernatural cause, never the sort of things suggested by the "Deliverance/Hitchcock" comparison.
Then there is no mention of one of the most important parts of my recent career, the solo tours, which I started doing in 2015 and do a couple of times every year since.
Anyhow...I know it's a lot of stuff! Those are just a few things that bother me and make the article seem so musty and more like an epitaph, haha. Maybe best if you email and I'll try to get some more modern info together for you. Thanks! Bob — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.250.90.159 (talk) 06:13, 16 September 2019 (UTC)

Hi there,
When you reverted this edit, the summary says "Not related to the Main Page; read the note at the top of this page (TW)" - that implies that it was a Twinkle powered revert. Where's the option in Twinkle to do this? I may be missing something obvious, but I haven't seen it anywhere? Chaheel Riens (talk) 11:38, 23 August 2019 (UTC)
Hi, Bruce,
Is it possible to make some changes at the Bob Drake's page on Wiki? He told me once that he'd like to change the photos. He sent me the new ones and I put them on the page, but a few days later the change was reverted by the page administrator I guess. Could you please help to do this?

A tag has been placed on Category:United States electronic musical group stubs requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
