Hello Astyaj and welcome to Wikipedia! I'm AndrewvdBK, one of the many editors of this great website. I've posted this just to give you some useful advice and help you to settle in. You'll find that Wikipedia is much more than just articles and that there are many areas in which you can help out.

If you want to create an article, I would suggest using the Article Wizard. It will guide you through what you should do to write a great first article. To learn more about editing articles, this page will tell you all you need to know.

To learn more about the fundamental principles by which Wikipedia operates, read about the 5 Pillars of Wikipedia. They should help you to understand exactly what the website stands for.

You may not want to jump straight into editing and writing articles, which is perfectly understandable. The Sandbox is available for anyone to experiment in. You can even create your own sandbox if you wish.

If you want, you can upload images to Wikipedia. However, you will have to know about the image use policy if you are going to upload images. This is largely due to copyright issues, which Wikipedia takes very seriously.

It is important to be civil at all times and to respect the views of other users. Etiquette is a fundamental part of Wikipedia. Remember, the success of Wikipedia is down to teamwork and cooperation.

artnet.com links

It appears that your account's contributions to Wikipedia so far have consisted primarily of adding or editing links to the website artnet.com. While it's quite possible you've had the best of intentions in doing so, we've had a bit of a problem with linkspam associated with this website. You may also wish to review our guidelines on Conflict of Interest. I'm going ahead and removing these links for now, but I hope this won't discourage you from future editing. Hi Astyaj, Thanks for your response. I'm taking a bit of a Wiki-break right now, which makes it hard for me to respond to your concerns in detail. In short, I do agree with you that some of the ArtNet links you posted might be legitimately restored. As a busy volunteer, I simply had to delete all the links that appeared to originate from "single purpose" ArtNet accounts, but I do remember noticing that you personally were often (or perhaps always) reformatting rather than adding and deleting. Here's what I'd ask you do to get these reintroduced to Wikipedia on the up-and-up.

First, clearly identify on your User page that you're an ArtNet.com employee, to avoid future editors "discovering" it. Second, double-check the articles where you reformatted those links. If the links were introduced by a demonstrably third-party editor (someone with a significant track record on Wikipedia of building non-ArtNet content as well, or who added substantially to an article beyond simply the ArtNet link), go ahead and add the link back in. If it appears that the link may have come from an ArtNet source, however, or from an unknown or "single purpose" editor, please don't. Third, go to WP:SPAM, start a new topic on their talk page, and note what you've done; you might link them back to this conversation and your post at AN/I. Then note the "diffs"--the links that go directly to your edits, like this one --for each of your link additions, and invite any concerned editor to double-check them.
