Hello Arjayay. I thank you for your contribution to the Mi ex me tiene ganas page. You edited the broadcast section by indicating that it will soon air on FOX Turkey under the translated title "Benim eski beni istiyor". Could you please post a link to show when it will air on the channel or if it has already started airing. I will appreciate it, thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by MarVit3 (talk • contribs) 13:31, 8 January 2014 (UTC)
Sorry, I have only made one edit to that page, this one which was simply to correct a spelling mistake (see top of this page for a detailed explanation). I have not indicated "that it will soon air on FOX Turkey under the translated title "Benim eski beni istiyor" " and know nothing about that at all. Arjayay (talk) 13:38, 8 January 2014 (UTC)
Please do not ask a question and then remove my reply, which I have now re-instated. Having checked this using "Wikiblame" the information was added in this edit on 18 August by an IP user User:217.164.75.14 (talk) You could try contacting them, but as this IP was only used for 5 edits, all on the same day, you are very unlikely to get a reply. - Arjayay (talk) 13:53, 8 January 2014 (UTC)

Hello Arjayay, as you may recall you had some suggestions yesterday regarding the Egyptian constitution article here . Someone has suggested here that the article be moved. You may want to provide your input, if you want. Thanks,David O. Johnson (talk) 06:07, 20 January 2014 (UTC)
I noticed that you have had previous input on the article Mohammed Burhanuddin. Well, there is an ongoing dispute between myself and another editor regarding the inclusion/exclusion of a stampede at this mans funeral. Could you please leave your thoughts on the talk page discussion. Thanks.Fotoriety (talk) 23:32, 1 February 2014 (UTC)
Please do not make any changes for User:HZ100 on the WICL page. HZ100 is a sockpuppet of indef-blocked User:Zimmerman1997 and has been a long-time vandal of the WICL page. - Neutralhomer • Talk • 18:14, 5 February 2014 (UTC)
Thanks - as you can see I didn't make any changes, because something about the attitude was wrong, especially linking to a blog, which repeated the same dispute, as some sort of "proof". Arjayay (talk) 18:36, 5 February 2014 (UTC)
I know you didn't, I was just giving you a heads up before you did. This user has an ongoing dispute about what the format of WICL is. They haven't provided any sources except for personal recollection or original research and have edit-warred constantly. There has also been problems with incorrectly formatted images being added. The user doesn't seem to want to listen to anyone's posts telling them how to correctly edit, mine or any admins.
But, I just wanted to give you a heads up on what was going on with this user. Not an accusation or anything like that. Take Care...Neutralhomer • Talk • 23:32, 8 February 2014 (UTC)
Dear, I think we can use "notable people from proposed harit pradesh" or "notable people born in proposed harit pradesh". You said " nobody can come from somewhere that does not exist".If we go by your logic then we just cant tell anything about Harit Pradesh except that it is a proposed state and that people are in favor or against it. The point is that there is difference in creating something new (say inhabiting on a new island after discovering it) and carving out a part of land from a bigger one on which everything already exists. We are not creating something physically, it will be created only in maps, books, constitution etc., everything else already exists (i.e. west uttar pradesh).
////Ch. Charan Singh was born in West U.P. ///// Ch. Charan Singh was born in the proposed Harit Pradesh.////
Both statements seem to be quite valid to me.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Vrgb123 (talk • contribs) 19:16, 5 February 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for your invitation, but I know absolutely nothing about Guilty Gear X2 - and very little about videogames in the last 30 years (although I was quite good up to about 1983) The only edit I have made at Guilty Gear X2 was to correct a misspelling of Rigth > Right - Arjayay (talk) 15:18, 8 February 2014 (UTC)
Hi Arjayay, can you have a quick at 2011 SI's I have added a talk, to save that I copy here for your reference.
Replicated from SI 20111
Split article?
Split - Article is over 600 kilobytes, and should be split into articles of between 500 to 1000 Statutory Instruments. Thoughts? --Jax 0677 (talk) 19:40, 8 November 2013 (UTC)
Keep Whilst ridiculously long, the article is now complete and should not have m/any more edits, as it lists all the 2011 SI's. As a bare list, there should not be any comments or other changes made. Splitting the article will make searching for a 2011 statute much more difficult. Arjayay (talk) 18:38, 17 November 2013 (UTC)
Modify Hi I have made an excel tool to reduce the overall size of the list, it keeps all functionality/links etc, and reduces the base data by more than 6.5%, I have placed a small example on my own talk page for quick reference. I believe ordering by SI number is valid and best practice, so I have placed this in primary position. I believe the TOC adds no value and takes up extra space, hence I suggest we remove this, reducing data a further ~2%. I have saved my tool and work and this can be replicated across all SI lists, whilst not a dramatic saving it allows more effective retrieval of this information. Any comments please feel free to leave here or on my page. The Original Filfi (talk) 03:49, 28 February 2014 (UTC)
End Replicated from SI 20111.
Any thoughts?

Thanks for your reply on the Kiss Talk Page. I've just finished incorporating my edits. Had some trouble with the footnotes, but managed all the same. Have a look and let me know over here if it's okay. I was only worried about the two Egyptian poetry citations but have, nonetheless, included them. The others are all above board. Regarding neutral point of view, it's my belief that others (particularly Hitsuji Kinno) were biased. (They hyped up India and totally neglected the rest of the world. I believe that if one were to do some more digging around, one could even find more examples, maybe from China or Mesoamerica.) My Hawley citation (which is a proper one) contradicts his Lorenzi-Vaughn one (which, in my opinion, is not a proper citation). I'll leave it for you to decide.
You'll notice that I've ordered the entries chronologically, i.e., Sumer, then Egypt, then the Old Testament, then India, then Greece. The time I'd contacted Hitsuji Kinno, he, in typical knee-jerk fashion, changed the order to Vedic first and Song of Solomon later, giving the reason that "the Mahabharata is older than the Old Testament" (see the Revision History). Well, the Song of Solomon was written down ca. 350 BC, while the earliest written version of the Mahabharata is considered to be ca. 450 BC, so he was partially right (without realizing it, most probably). But, I've now quoted from Genesis (events from before 1500 BC), which was definitely written down before 500 BC. Hence, my placing the Hebrew references first. In any case, nobody seems able to actually quote the "kissing scenes" from the Mahabharata or the Vedas, which I'd pointed out to Hitsuji Kinno.
I look forward to your reply and criticisms, if any.
Sincerely,
Andrew Cabral — Preceding unsigned comment added by 14.98.181.26 (talk) 17:15, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
I have removed the "essay-style" phrase "Be that as it may" and also corrected a double "by" further down - that was not of your creation.
I am rather worried about the length and number of quotations, as they break up the article before it has really got going, and produce a series of "bullet points", albeit without the bullets. I think one of the Egyptian quotes (probably the longer second one) should be lost, but am not sure that the other quotes can easily be reduced and still say what you want, although possibly the first Egyptian one could be reformatted to have three lines, as any rhyming and metre have been lost in the translation. As these are essentially references and/or examples, rather than the core of the article, if they cause extreme comment/objections, I wonder if they could be included as footnotes, so the section has a better flow?
As for your comments about Hitsuji Kinno, although it is difficult, you must always assume good faith rather than start off by assuming there will be a further disagreement, which I appreciate is difficult. If your edits are reverted - please try to stay calm, and follow the bold, revert, discuss system. As you are the one that has been bold, the discussion should occur after his revert, not after you revert his revert.
I will watch the page for a couple of weeks to see what occurs - but I am only an editor, not an admin, so my opinion carries no more weight, although having been around for a few years I have learnt some of the Wikipedia polices. - Arjayay (talk) 18:38, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
Thanks, Arjayay, for your reply and comments/suggestions. To be honest, even I felt that "be that as it may" was a little silly. Just thought it could be some kind of juncture between the anthropological theories and the references to the ancient literature part. I do get what you're saying about the length and bullet-style quotations. It's just that I feel that at least here people can get to see actual and diverse examples from the written word in history. If there are objections, then yes, I guess that they can be shifted to the footnotes. As I'd said, I'll leave that for you (and other bona fide Wikipedia editors and/or general editors who are unbiased and cite properly and honestly) to decide.
The lines are as per the sources, so I'm not sure if our fiddling around is right. But, just so that there's no confusion to you, I must point out the following: (i) the first two Sumerian citations are from Ref. [3] (can be checked by the Amazon Look-Inside feature), while the last one is from Ref. [4] (I'd originally got it from humanistictexts.org, which cited ETCSL); (ii) the first three Egyptian ones (two lines each) are from themagentahornet, while the two longer ones are from love-poetry-of-the-world (Have I placed the citation labels correctly? I felt that placing them at the end of each verse would clutter things up considerably.); (iii) the link to the Hawley citation (Ref. [11]) leads to the Leeds International Classical Studies page, from which the article can be downloaded (Should it be the article's page itself?). As I'd mentioned on the Kiss Talk Page, I'm uncomfortable with the two Egyptian references (they are not from a book or a journal). These two websites don't give bibliographic details and I'd written to the Magenta Hornet asking for the same in late November, but haven't received a reply till now. The other one didn't have any contact details. And there are too many books out there on the subject to check (most without the Look-Inside feature and which I couldn't find links to download). Incidentally, I quoted only one line in the very first Sumerian example because the original goes as follows (p. 84 of Kramer):
The lord speaks to her of intercourse (?), she is unwilling, Enlil speaks to her of intercourse (?), she is unwilling; "My vagina is too little, it knows not to copulate, My lips are too small, they know not to kiss"...
Regarding, Hitsuji Kinno, there were no edits of mine that he reverted nor of his that I have, till yesterday, which I'd explained to you. It is true that I'd contacted him on his Talk Page and gave him a long explanation which he probably didn't want to have to read. But I was polite and straight. On his Talk Page, he was curt but not rude, whereas on the Kiss Talk Page, he was downright condescending. So, I naturally gave it back to him. I've put it all together on the Kiss Talk Page so that any third party can read the exchanges and form his/her own opinions. He, of course, didn't (I believe couldn't) reply, and there the matter lies.
Will check back with you over here if there's anything further to be done from my side. Thank you once again for pointing out to me that the page was no longer protected and for your reading what I'd put in and commenting on the same. Catch you later. Till then, take care!
Andrew
Hello Arjayay (RGA):
My screen name is BaniGallian and certain edits were mentioned - and on certain of them, I agree, that it falls into the section of 'non-information' ie u-turns, soliciting opinion etc - But as a reason for the wholesale removal of ALL of the edit is a bit harsh121.202.251.170 (talk) 12:13, 14 March 2014 (UTC)
Thank you for leaving a message, but I am afraid I cannot agree, None of your information was sourced to be verifiable, reliable sources, which are independant of the subject. You added 7,700 bytes - about 1500 words - but did not provide any sources whatsoever, for the information you added, so it is totally correct for it to be deleted.
Wikipedia is not Facebook, it is not interested what your, my, or any other editor's, opinion is about anything. It only wants to refer to things that have already been published in reliable, independent sources. If the Daily Times, Pakistan Today, Pakistan Observer, or a similar national or regional paper has commented on what Bani Gala needs, it would be fair to comment, briefly. But what you, a local residents group, the developer, or any other local, non-independent source thinks or says, is not acceptable.
Please read referencing for beginners and make sure that anything and everything you add is covered by an acceptable reference. It is often better to add information piece by piece, including the relevant references, rather than in one big edit - Arjayay (talk) 13:18, 14 March 2014 (UTC)
Hello Arjayay: I completely agree with your assessment. I am in the process of re-editing and as you have pointed out 'references will be provided in the form of a link that is sourced to a credible publication. Also, I was under the impression that Wikipedia was also a source of public information ie Absence of Drainage is a 'negative' point and its environmentally a disaster...so how do we present this point without sounding 'preacher-like' or facebookish? Many Thanks for your guidance...pls keep reviewing as my purpose is to 'inform' I have nothing to sell! Thanks much PAKZindabahd (talk) 13:16, 18 March 2014 (UTC)
But you have simply not done what you said you would do. Other than two External Links, which are not allowed in the body of an article, you haven't added any references at all, but have added back the same irrelevant trivia about road junctions, U-Turns etc. I have formatted your external links, made your picture show, and deleted the trivia again. Any re-additions of this material are likely to be considered vandalism. Thanks for that Omer123hussain - Hyderabad has been particularly bad recently, with one particular editor, who clearly doesn't read edit summaries, or their talk page. We have a lot of editors trying to "promote" their town/city/district/state in India, in particular editors trying to create Telangana state before 2 June. - we Wikignomes just keep plodding away. You're supposed to use {{subst:ESp|rs}} rather than {{ESp|rs}}. When you don't, a bot has to clean up after you. Jackmcbarn (talk) 17:22, 5 April 2014 (UTC)
I've improved the message to clarify this. Jackmcbarn (talk) 17:32, 5 April 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for the explanation - I don't know where I initially copied it from. I haven't done a test-edit, but is the problem that copying the text of something like this, occurs after the substitution, so it has already lost the original text that causes the substitution? - Arjayay (talk) 17:39, 5 April 2014 (UTC)
It wasn't substituted in the place where you copied from. If you copied a substituted version of it, it would have still been substituted when you pasted it. Jackmcbarn (talk) 17:42, 5 April 2014 (UTC)
OK thanks - sorry for causing the bot additional work;-} - Arjayay (talk) 17:48, 5 April 2014 (UTC)
I do understand your reply, no source is needed, I am citing the dictionary!
Larry Page IS a business magnate, & an internet entrepreneur, but Business magnate succeeds over internet entrepreneur, it is in a sense a 'successful entrepreneur'.
Are you asking me proof of his success? Or his Power? Concerning the later, it even states in the article that he is listed on Forbes list of most powerful people. Concerning the former, I don't think a reference is needed to prove Page has had success in his field!
Firstly, which reliable source states that he is a "Business magnate", and which says that he is an "internet entrepreneur"? Secondly which reliable source states that "Business magnate succeeds over internet entrepreneur"? Or is this your opinion? You can only cite a dictionary for the definition of a word. The interpretation, and appropriate application, of the word is an opinion and/or synthesis. Hence the need for a reliable source - Arjayay (talk) 07:49, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
Business Magnate: a person of great influence, importance, or standing in a particular enterprise or field of business. The term characteristically refers to a wealthy individual who controls through personal business ownership or dominant shareholding position a firm or industry whose goods, products, or services are widely consumed.
Larry Page Net Worth: $29.7 billion, source: Google, Self Made
Is Google widely consumed? It is the most visited website in the world: http://www.alexa.com/topsites
He is listed no. 17 on Forbes list of Worlds most powerful people http://www.forbes.com/powerful-people/list/, and has been listed 3 time on Time 100 most influential people.
There should be no dispute in adding Business magnate, concerning 'internet entrepreneur', 'business magnate' implies entrepreneur, and following with 'he is the cofounder of Google', gives the field (internet), and again tells you he is an entrepreneur.
I'm sorry - you are missing the point entirely. You are interpreting and extrapolating other information, contrary to synthesis, not citing a reliable source for the use of "Business Magnate" - Arjayay (talk) 10:23, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
That is ridiculous! A half-wit can work out he is a business magnate, it shouldn't need to be stated anywhere. The fact is he fits the definition of business magnate, therefore he is one.
Where is a reliable source calling him an internet entrepreneur? There isn't one listed! Does that mean he isn't an internet entrepreneur?
If, as you say, "it shouldn't need to be stated anywhere" why are you trying to get it stated in the article?;-)
I don't know why you are so worried about the semantics, and note you have a broadly similar request at Talk:Elon Musk. I am certainly not going to add it without a reliable source, but another editor might well do so.
John Antioco, CEO, Blockbuster Video, Chairman, Board of Directors, Red Mango
Jerry Romano, chairman, New York Emmy Awards
Itzhak Fisher, executive vice president, Global Business Development, Nielsen Holdings
Humayun Chaudhry, physician and CEO, Federation of State Medical Boards
Monte N. Redman, CEO, Astoria Financial
And remove the rest. Thoughts? MlaneNYIT (talk) 18:11, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
MlaneNYIT- thanks for your post, and for researching these names. Unfortunately, as explained at Wikipedia:Your alma mater is not your ticket to Wikipedia, many, relatively non-notable people, try to include themselves in Wikipedia by adding their name to an alumni list
There are no standard inclusion criteria, covering all academic institutions, but we don't want any article dominated by a long list, especially when the article also refers to a stand-alone list. To take an extreme example, Trinity College, Cambridge only lists its Nobel prize winners in the main article, whilst the List of alumni of Trinity College, Cambridge only includes alumni with their own article.
With regards to NYIT, there is also the page List of New York Institute of Technology alumni so we also need two criteria levels, or else the two lists will be identical, making one of them redundant. IMHO the minimum standard for inclusion on the main New_York_Institute_of_Technology article should be a Wikipedia article - those without an article, but still "notable" in Wikipedia terms, can be included on the "List"
This means I would only retain one of your five names on the NYIT page, but move the other 4 names to the "List", and incorporate several names from the "List" into the NYIT page. Ideally, it would probably be best to sort the List of New York Institute of Technology alumni first, and then select the really notable alumni for inclusion in the main article. - Arjayay (talk) 18:47, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
Indeed. I'll go through the other list next and then probably refactor as you suggest. A part of the problem is that a sock did a lot of the additions and the sock liked to add long lists of things and it's a lot of work to convert that both to notability and (in other parts of the article) to prose. MlaneNYIT (talk) 18:52, 16 April 2014 (UTC)
I think Chris Distefano and Sarah Fisher are notable enough to be included on NYIT alumni list.--An educated fat man (talk) 20:06, 2 June 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for your post An educated fat man. I note your account has already been blocked, so assume you are connected in some way to the vandalism that has regularly occurred regarding NYIT alumni, but I am prepared to deal with these points in good faith.
Neither name was in the NYIT article, nor the List of New York Institute of Technology alumni ("the list") when I sorted the alumni. Both their articles were edited to include NYIT on 31 May, Chris Distefano has a reference, but Sarah Fisher does not, although the statement has credence. They appear as notable as other names in the NYIT article, and I am willing to add them.
The list in the NYIT article is getting long, so inclusion criteria for the article may need to be tightened shortly - and some names moved to "the list". As explained above, "There are no standard inclusion criteria, covering all academic institutions, but we don't want any article dominated by a long list, especially when the article also refers to a stand-alone list." - Arjayay (talk) 08:06, 3 June 2014 (UTC)

In some villages or town pages, people are updating private school names that list is around 40-50 in number. Do we really need that. Also, temples names, they are updating even a small street temple. Also, about separate section on MLA's or MP's of the constitution, also list of banks in their town. Can you give suggestion. Do we really require this info for that specific town? If they can explain, it's ok but they are simple listing to expand the page. Please leave your suggestion. Vin09 (talk) 19:08, 25 April 2014 (UTC)
I totally agree, many Subcontinent articles have very long irrelevant lists - I assume this is to try and make a place look more important. The general guideline is WP:NOTDIR but this is fairly vague These lists include:- Roads, suburbs, nearby villages, train and bus routes, schools, banks, shops, and notable people.
Some of these, like notable people, have fairly clear-cut inclusion criteria:- an article, or significant coverage, in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. Primary schools are not generally deemed notable enough for inclusion, but secondary, and further education establishments are, whether they are private or state Roads and suburbs are generally not notable, unless they have their own article, which many suburbs of the bigger cities do have Train and bus routes can be mentioned in passing, but we do not want exhaustive lists and especially not timetables,
What I tend to do is add a template such as the Notable residents template (code is {{alumni|residents|date=April 2014}}) which gives:-
This article's list of residents may not follow Wikipedia's verifiability policy. (April 2014)
or the General list template code is {{Cleanup-list|date=April 2014}} which gives:-
I then wait a month to see if there are any improvements, after which I reduce the list to the notable entries, or remove the list altogether. When doing the removal I state that the list has been tagged for over a month. Although you can be WP:BOLD and just remove the list at once, I have found that tagging has led to several improvements, whilst being able to state that a list has been tagged, but not improved, seems to stop a lot of arguments.
Having removed lots of names from a list, I recommend Hidden text, which you can refer to if/when someone adds a name back - so, on lists of "Notable people" I usually add:- <!-- ONLY ADD A PERSON TO THIS LIST IF THEY ALREADY HAVE A WIKIPEDIA ARTICLE, OR PROVIDE DETAILED REFERENCES FROM RELIABLE, INDEPENDENT, SOURCES MEETING WP:BLP --> Hope that helps - Arjayay (talk) 17:57, 27 April 2014 (UTC)
On Guntur page some IP's are reverting almost everyday the tags, population stats. Can you help me on that issue.
Vin09 (talk) 08:10, 29 April 2014 (UTC)
I have Guntur on my watchlist - but much of the problem seems to occur between 03.00 and 06.00 when, being in the UK, I am in bed. Please note I am not an Administrator on Wikipedia, so I cannot intervene directly In order to have a user blocked, they should be reported to Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism but before going to AIV you must be able to show that:-
The edits of the reported user must be obvious vandalism or obvious spam.
The user must have been given enough warnings to stop their disruptive behavior.
The warnings must have been given recently and the users must be active now, especially for unregistered users.
Therefore, each time you revert a user, you should put a warning on their talk-page, in an escalating scale of severity. The standard warnings are at Wikipedia:Vandalism templates. Most warnings require you to add the page in following a vertical line and sign using four tildes.
As an example, the current problem is removing maintenance templates, you would use the template - {{subst:uw-tdel1}} - insert the page and signature giving - {{subst:uw-tdel1|Gudar}} ~~~~ which will appear as:-
Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Gudar. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Arjayay (talk) 09:00, 29 April 2014 (UTC)
This is time consuming, but some editors are unaware that what they are doing is wrong, whilst others respond to being warned. The warnings and vandalism must alternate - revert vandalism + issue Warning 1 - revert vandalism occurring after warning 1 + issue Warning 2 etc. If an editor has committed 4 lots of vandalism, you can't issue warnings 1,2,3 & 4 in a row - they must have a chance to read the warning, and show they have ignored it, by carrying out further vandalism, before you can issue the next warning. Editors are allowed to remove warnings from their talk page, but this is seen as proof that they have read them. You may need to look at the talk page history, to see what level warning they have reached. This is very time consuming, but the only way that AIV will normally block an editor is a track record of continuing vandalism after proper warnings. - Arjayay (talk) 09:00, 29 April 2014 (UTC)
When using {{outdent}} or {{od}}, like you did at Talk:Jat people, please make sure to include a parameter with the number of colons that the previous post had. For example, if the previous post had four colons (::::), use {{outdent|::::}} or {{outdent|4}}. This makes sure that the line properly connects to the previous post. You have removed every reference to raised towers in Marrecs de Salt article. Maybe I wasn't using the right word (I'm not a native speaker), but there are regular towers (no specification needed) where people in the upper levels climb all the others on the lower ones and raised towers in which the whole tower “seems to be” emerging from below, because lower levels are added after upper ones. This would usually become pilar de 4 and pilar de 4 aixecat per sota in catalan hence my translation into pillar of 4 and pillar of 4 raised (from below). What do you suggest? A better wording? Or just revert your last edits? Thanks for proofreading it, anyway. :D (talk) 17:42, 3 May 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for your post JordiGran - I did not remove the word "raised", I removed the word "rised", which is a misspelling (see Wikipedia:Lists of common misspellings/R) I don't think there is one simple English word to cover the situation, "raised from below" sums it up best, or just using "raised" is fine, but please don't use "rised" - Thanks Arjayay (talk) 17:59, 3 May 2014 (UTC)

Thanks Arjayay! But can we get the 'Contentious material about living persons that is unsourced or poorly sourced must be removed immediately, especially if potentially libelous or harmful. Thanks for clarifying Arjayay. But we still need some help as to what exact biographical details are needed? For ex - a copy of Kranti Kanade's driver's license to verify name, age, birth, address, etc.? Or school or college degrees? Since people usually talk/write about someone once his/her work is noted, there are no online references to his birth or childhood. So what would help? Please guide us. Really appreciate your cooperation.Gautam.rayakar (talk) 08:58, 16 May 2014 (UTC)
I keep repeating the same thing:- Articles require significant coverage, in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. These are the requirements, and there is no way around them, adding trivial things like his driving license is not acceptable, most people have a driving license, so does not show any notability. Furthermore, a driving license is a Primary source which is not Verifiable, as it cannot be checked by any reader, at any time of day or night, and is not Independent of the subject. You keep saying, there are no significant, reliable, independent sources, so it sounds as if he may not meet Wikipedia:Notability (people), so it is WP:TOOSOON to have an article on him. What can you do about it? - nothing except wait until he is notable enough to have that significant coverage - adding trivia does not help, and could well lead to deletion. - Arjayay (talk) 12:40, 16 May 2014 (UTC)

Hi, earlier i did the same thing like your edit on Guntur page to make images look larger. But some users reverted almost every time to shrink them. So, yesterday i decided to at least make them a little bit bigger, so i edited. At last, you helped. I support your pics edits as the pics look clear and legible when they are of good size. Thank you. Vin09 (talk) 06:04, 18 May 2014 (UTC)
No problem - A common mistake is users trying to compose a page to "look right" on their screen - forgetting that some people see the page on a phone, and others on a 105cm plasma TV screen. Leaving pictures as thumbnails, without a pixel size, which is what Wikipedia:Picture tutorial says we should do "unless there is a good reason", allows the users settings (under preferences, appearance, files, thumbnail size) to determine the size of the picture, so a user can set it small for a phone, and larger for a big screen. - Arjayay (talk) 08:13, 18 May 2014 (UTC)

In citing sourced, please tell me what is work? and publisher difference in the context of colleges and universities. How to fill those fields and which one is essential.Vin09 (talk) 09:17, 22 May 2014 (UTC)
Work confused me for ages - I was told that it is used when an article appears in another publication, but I can't find that advice and Wikipedia:Citation templates isn't very helpful. As an example "Research paper on widgets" might appear in "Collected research papers 2005-2008" The title would be "Research paper on widgets", and the work would be "Collected research papers 2005-2008". Every reference must have a "title", but doesn't need a "work".
I'm not sure what you mean by "publisher difference" in the context of universities etc. If the university publishes any material itself, which is usual for on-line publishing, then the university is the publisher. However, many universities have their own publishing houses for printed books, e.g. Oxford University Press, so they would be the publisher. Some universities use outside companies for their printed publications (smaller universities often use an experienced publisher, to get more publicity) in which case they are the publisher.
The problem with much University work is that it is a WP:Primary source - so, in general should not be used, unless it has appeared in peer-reviewed research journals, like Nature (journal) or The Lancet, and then it is the secondary opinions of that research that are important - they may be very critical.
Hope that helps - Arjayay (talk) 09:59, 22 May 2014 (UTC)

What is the difference between Category:Districts of India and Category:Districts of India by name.Vin09 (talk) 03:51, 27 May 2014 (UTC)
Category:Districts of India is a holding category, containing the sub-categories divided by state. Although there are three pages in that category, including List of districts in Andhra Pradesh, I do not think they should be there. When categorizing, one should be as specific as possible, so should not link to this category, but IMHO, you can link to the speecific state list
Category:Districts of India by name is, as you can see, an alphabetical list of all the districts, and again, there are three stray pages, which probably shouldn't be there
Hope that helps, but I am not an expert on categories. - Arjayay (talk) 07:48, 27 May 2014 (UTC)
He is an Indian Politician and therefore the names written in Indian Languages is necessary. Why are you not understanding this simple thing. Name in this form is written in almost all the pages of Indian leaders.

Abrahamkhan123 - I fully understand he is an Indian politician - but as I have already asked you, please read the policy WP:INDICSCRIPT, and comply with it. The lead of an article "should not contain any regional or Indic language script" The fact that other pages may break the policy is no reason whatsoever for this article to - please read WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS - although it is a reason to bring the other articles in line with the consensus. - Arjayay (talk) 16:10, 30 May 2014 (UTC)
I've been going over the edit history for this article, and it looks like it needs to be watched more closely! I just removed the image gallery and several sections of irrelevant text, including some that had been added back without explanation or edit summary after being removed several days ago. Glad you caught the template removal, with the accompanying false edit summary - I was half way through reverting the previous edit when that template was removed - such things don't give an edit-conflict like they used to. Not sure of the best way to proceed - given the apparent co-ordination (an edit by one account is very often quickly followed by an edit by another) the request for page protection on a fifth edit, the awarding of Barn-stars on an 11th edit (I think) I am not sure if these are sock-puppets, or meat-puppets. Fundamentally, the problem is that you, and Alvi's other supporters, are trying to use this article to promote Alvi - That is not the purpose of Wikipedia - we aim for a neutral point of view - which avoids peacock words, and includes any valid criticism. It also avoids Excessive external links and indiscriminate lists of minor positions held. To take your pecific points:-
As explained at Talk:Raashid Alvi, WP:Gallery states:- "Wikipedia is not an image repository. A gallery is not a tool to shoehorn images into an article, and a gallery consisting of an indiscriminate collection of images of the article subject should generally either be improved ... or moved to Wikimedia Commons."KDS4444 then gave you a detailed explanation - comparing this article with Indira Gandhi, who, having been prime minister for about 15 years is rather more important than Alvi. As I stated - this article only warrants 2 or 3, photos, or 4 at the most. Many of the photos show vague blobs, which could be anyone - even if they are Alvi, they do not add to the readers understanding - again, compare these photos with Indira Gandhi,
The size of photos is also determined by the image policy, normally they should be thumbnails, as this automatically alters them if a reader is using a phone, or a wall-sized screen. Overlarge images are seen as promotional, as well as excessive numbers of images.
You state "Every word of that article is true" - but much of it is promotional in contravention of WP:NOTPROMOTION - I note you were also involved in a dispute about Khalid Alvi last year, so wonder what your connection with the Alvi's is, it appears you may have a conflict of interest, in which case you should not be editing the article, but suggesting changes at the articles talk page.
The Mediation Committee has received a request for formal mediation of the dispute relating to "Raashid Alvi". As an editor concerned in this dispute, you are invited to participate in the mediation. Mediation is a voluntary process which resolves a dispute over article content by facilitation, consensus-building, and compromise among the involved editors. After reviewing the request page, the formal mediation policy, and the guide to formal mediation, please indicate in the "party agreement" section whether you agree to participate. Because requests must be responded to by the Mediation Committee within seven days, please respond to the request by 9 June 2014.
Discussion relating to the mediation request is welcome at the case talk page. Thank you.

Thanks for the invite. Personally, I don't like any montages in any infoboxes - only because they are very difficult to read, especially when viewing the page on a phone, when the pictures can be unintelligible. File:AP Montage-jpg.png looks fine on the file page, but gets very condensed on the article page. I have, however, added a convenience link on Talk:Andhra Pradesh - if you want to add link to a picture or category, without it showing, use a colon before the name inside the double bracket, as in [[:File:AP Montage-jpg.png]] Good luck - Arjayay (talk) 15:03, 2 June 2014 (UTC)

I think a short "Media" section, covering state-wide newspapers, TV and radio is useful. I note the list includes the standard "national" newspapers:- The Hindu, Hindustan Times, The Times of India (sorry I only read English - some of the Telugu and Urdu papers may also be national). We don't want a list of every newspaper sold in AP, but if these national papers have a specific AP edition (not just a local office) their inclusion is appropriate.
Wikipedia prefers prose to lists, So it could run:- "Some national newspapers, such as X, Y and Z publish special AP editions, whilst several state newspapers; P, Q + R are based in, and specialize in AP matters. In addition S covers the city of SSS and T covers the districts of T, U and V."
This explains the coverage far more than a bare list, I would limit the inclusion to "notable" papers, i.e. those with their own WP article, and try to maintain some rough Telugu/Urdu/English balance.
You could then mention any state-based TV and/or radio in a similar vein. Hope that helps - Arjayay (talk) 15:06, 5 June 2014 (UTC)
Hello, regarding the refactoring of the NYIT alumni, thanks for the help. I was overwhelmed by the length of the list as it was before.
With respect to the new shorter list it's easier to review. What I'm wondering about is who should be added. What establishes notability for the inclusion as an alumni of NYIT? In particular I'm looking at a recent addition of a Guantanamo detainee who is probably notable for inclusion on Wikipedia but notable for the NYIT page? By what criteria? Should we search all of WP:EN to find any mention of NYIT or "New York Institute of Technology" and add that person to the list?
I remember you had mentioned elsewhere that one school only adds it's Nobel Prize winners. Which i took to heart and thought you meant that to suggest that the list should be people with a strong connection to the school as well as some achievement that could, reasonably, be connected back to their work at the institution. I think I've disclosed everywhere I can that I'm a COI editor so I'm not looking for a sanitized list. I'm looking for a logic that is reasonable in terms of who to add and who not to add. Would appreciate your thoughts. MlaneNYIT (talk) 15:42, 9 June 2014 (UTC)
@MlaneNYIT:, if you don't mind some unsolicited advice, WP:ALUMNI is a good source to determine the criteria for including a name. Bahooka (talk) 16:32, 9 June 2014 (UTC)
(edit conflict)Unfortunately, as stated before, although there are guidelines at WP:ALUMNI these only really deal with the overall inclusion criteria, and offer no advice on how an over-long list should be selected for a short-list.
The guidelines specifically state "All alumni meeting these criteria are to be included on an alumni list, regardless of how much time they have spent on a school roll, from one day to several years, and whether or not they graduated." - someone tried to exclude Saifullah Paracha on the basis that he did not graduate, which is clearly contradictory to this guideline, and appeared an attempt to "sanitize" the list, which currently includes all alumni with their own articles.
No Wikipedia article should be dominated by a list, and as previously explained, there is no point in having a separate list if the inclusion criteria are the same. Currently, the list in the article is just about acceptable, but if it becomes much longer, there will need to be some additional criteria, other than having an article. The problem is, that these criteria need to be agreed by consensus, which, given the edit-warring and sock puppetry that has gone on at that article, will be difficult. With over 100,000 alumni to date, and more each year, the number will clearly grow.
It is worth looking at other articles, and possibly asking on their talk pages what their criteria are:- Yale University avoids a list in their main article, but IMHO the prose is just a "sea-of-text" and is less readable than a list - how they are selected, I don't know. Princeton University and Harvard University also uses prose, but they are far better arranged, making the names readable.
The place to discuss the criteria is at Talk:New York Institute of Technology rather than on my talk page, which others may see as an attempt to resolve this "in private" - Arjayay (talk) 16:38, 9 June 2014 (UTC)
Thanks. I wanted to start here because, as you noted, the page history has been dominated by a banned user. I think, and maybe it isn't the right way to approach this, but I think WP:ALUMNI needs some revision. In any case, will move to appropriate talk pages. MlaneNYIT (talk) 18:00, 9 June 2014 (UTC)
I see no reason to not add alumnus police commissioner Rafael Piñeiro on NYIT, when Saifullah Paracha is on the list. NYPD Chief of Patrol Nicholas Estavillo is on the list, but alone can't tackle the criminal.--Lymanniffy (talk) 01:55, 10 June 2014 (UTC)

My role as a reviewer is to only reject obvious vandalism, not to be familiar with the article or its content. When there is doubt, I must approve the change. What part was vandalism? I just proposed them for deletion because they seemed not notable. One was just a house with no sources or references and a moth with no information. If you could show me how to do it properly it would be appreciated cause I don't know. --Youngdrake (talk) 11:56, 20 June 2014 (UTC)
Speedy deletion is a complicated area, and not one you can just launch into. You were doing so incorrectly, that nothing would have happened, but all you were doing was nominating your own page for deletion.
There are a large number of criteria for Speedy Deletion, and you need to make a request in a specific category, for specific reasons. These can be found at Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion. Some of these like hoaxes, or blank pages are easy candidates for speedy deletion.
Before nominating anything under notability, you need to read and understand Wikipedia:Notability and then all the specific advice under each subject.
As regards your moth WP:A7 clearly states, "This criterion does not apply to species of animals, only to individual animal(s)" so you cannot nominate a species, as all species are deemed notable, but you could nominate say an individual horse which had not won any significant races. Several things are deemed inherently notable, such as inhabited places, and secondary schools, but not primary schools. There are very complicated criteria for music articles, particularly the notability of singles, as distinct from albums and musicians, as distinct from the band they play in.
Hope that helps - Arjayay (talk) 12:56, 20 June 2014 (UTC)
It does thanks. I can't seem to find anything on that page about exemptions for species. These pages for species of fly's,moths ect are a waste as no information about them is provided. All that is provided for the most part is the name and what genus it is. If thats all the information that there is they should just be included in the genus page and the page removed. --Youngdrake (talk) 13:03, 20 June 2014 (UTC)
I don't know which page you are looking at, but WP:A7 is quite specific. You might also want to read Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Common outcomes particularly the section WP:SPECIESOUTCOMES which includes:- "All species that have a correct name (botany) or valid name (zoology) are inherently notable" - Arjayay (talk) 13:13, 20 June 2014 (UTC)
I was just reading the main page. Thanks for the link. Great now I have to find something else to do besides attempt to delete moths. --Youngdrake (talk) 13:18, 20 June 2014 (UTC)
For what it's worth, I feel the same way about articles on national historic places that consist of nothing more than a single sentence and a set of coordinates. Wikipedia has deemed them all inherently notable, which seems crazy to me given their multitude and their lack of "real" notability according to WP's own terms (being the subject of multiple reliable secondary sources), but you'll never get one deleted even if it is nothing more than an outhouse in rural Utah: once in the Register, it's golden. Just like one of billions of species of moths! KDS4444Talk 19:11, 20 June 2014 (UTC)

arajay, this is babytutta85. Many years ago, when flo ballard died, it was common knowledge that Diana Ross had left money to Flo Ballards children. Not only was this disclosed on Tv One Unsung, but, I personally knew this because I knew Flo. I live not far from where she grew up. The fact that Diana failed to do this for Flos kids was an embarrasement for the motown family. The least that can we can do at this point is acknowledge it since motown and diana failed her and her kids.
Please, for the sake of decency, repost what I had typed. Isnt it the least we can do??
Thanks for your post Babytutta 64

With regards to Florence Ballard if, as well as being "common knowledge", it is actually true, I am sure there will be a reliable source that you can find and quote - problem solved. Without a reliable source, the statement is just a potentially libelous accusation, and not the sort of gossip we want on Wikipedia. Arjayay (talk) 16:33, 21 June 2014 (UTC)

I saw your request for deletion, and edited the redirect in Andhra Pradesh to (your) older article. I realize you started List of airports in Andhra Pradesh so requesting deletion of a "rival" article could be seen to be in bad faith. The new article does have some additional information, (I assume it is correct?) so a merge would be better, but this should not be under the "AirPorts" title, as Wikipedia does not use CamelCase, however, if a lot of information is included, it should not be under the "list" title either, as it is more than a list. If you feel it difficult to suggest a merge, because you started one of the articles, I will happily do that for you. - Arjayay (talk) 15:35, 6 July 2014 (UTC)
No, actually I read somewhere that a duplicate article is not required for wiki, so I requested that. I'm moving it to Aiports of Andhra Pradesh and adding the required info which you mentioned.--Vin09 (talk) 15:56, 6 July 2014 (UTC)
You should agree the merge with the other editor (seeWP:Merging) and then ensure you attribute the additional information to the original editor, before making the "AirPorts" article into a redirect. - Arjayay (talk) 17:08, 6 July 2014 (UTC)
FYI, AirPorts has already been deleted. And the article should stay as a list. Including additional info will be redundant as the main article of each of these airports already have them and besides, adding info on each and every airport of the state makes it too elaborate. —LeoFrankTalk 17:13, 6 July 2014 (UTC)
@LeoFrank:Agree, these airports have already been in Andhra Pradesh, their respective pages.--Vin09 (talk) 17:19, 6 July 2014 (UTC)
Hi, I was wondering if you could take a look at the article Skogssamer that I have created. I have nominated it for DYK. But before it will be finally approved some copyediting for Standard English is needed. So if you are interested please take a look. Otherwise thanks anyway:).--BabbaQ (talk) 17:56, 6 July 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for your request BabbaQ I think you could be out of luck with DYK, as the article does not seem to meet the eligibility criteria:- It is not new (<7 days old) nor expanded 5x (in the last 7 days), nor promoted to good article (in the last 7 days) Please see WP:WIADYK for the full criteria.
I always feel bad criticizing other peoples articles, but as you have asked for it, there are three points I would raise - all in the lead:- The first sentence assumes the reader knows who the Sami are, and where they live - although they can click the link to find out, they have then left the article. I suggest that after woods, you add "of northern Scandinavia" or some thing similar, to help the reader. The second sentence ends "northern parts of Ångermanland and north." North what? The final two sentences appear self contradictory - if Manker's study was in the early 1900s, and "practically all habitations (plural) had been abandoned" how was there only one village? - and if it was "located in Malå during the 1800s" where was it located at other times - e.g when Manker carried out his study in the early 1900s? - This also contradicts the 1882 committee investigartion futher down
I am also concerned about the quotation, where it appears you have only translated part of it into English

However,I'm not sure your reasons for proposed deletion are correct:- As it already exists WP:CRYSTAL is not relevant - as for WP:TOOSOON that is usually used for people:- musicians, artists, sportsmen, politicians; or for companies, who have only just started and may, or may not, become notable. A bureaucratic body like a railway board does not normally become notable over time; it either is notable, or is not. - Arjayay (talk) 18:11, 14 July 2014 (UTC)

Hi Arjaya!
You wrote: Please make your request on the relevant talk page, but you must take a more neutral point of view and obtain some reliable, independent, sources.
The interview you are quoting is over 3 months old - if was waiting for citizenship then, he may have it by now, so this is not acceptable. - Arjayay (talk) 15:08, 18 July 2014 (UTC)
1) How about the difference between citizenship and nationality? Citizenship may change, but nationality is one for a lifetime. For example, I have the citizenship of another country, but I have always been Ukrainian and I will be Ukrainian.
2) You quoted on citizenship and did not pay attention to Oleynik's interview, where he clearly says that he is Ukrainian. Please, comment why you did not pay attention to the Oleynik's words about himself that he is Ukrainian?
3) Please, pay attention that there are a lot evidences that Oleinik is Ukrainian, but there is no evidence that he is Russian (except the overwhelming desire of Russians readers to make him (Oleinik) Russian). I specified clear evidences of his Ukrainian nationality, including his own words about himself that he is Ukrainian. Please, specify the evidence that Oleinik is Russian (or at least partly Russian). It is necessary so that to have an objective information, free of subjective approach. Thank you.
Hi Arjayay! I have created "request on the relevant talk page", why nobody answers? Why the change is not done?
I can't understand what does mean "to reach consensus" when Oleinik clearly identified himselv as Ukrainian, I gave clear quote of his speech. It's not a question of reaching consensus or debate. It's a fact.
I can repeat the quote: Translation from Russian, quote: Alexey Oleinik says about himself: "I am Ukrainian, I was born in this country, lived there for 30 years. I have my parents, my brothers, my sisters, my friends, my teammates, my disciples there. My grandfathers were born and lived there".

Not done - as I said "Please make your request on the relevant talk page" where, I note, another editor has asked that you reach consensus. The discussion has to take place there, not here. - Arjayay (talk) 16:15, 18 July 2014 (UTC)
Arjayay: Why have you deleted an added section to the CC&BTC and why do you accuse me/us of disruptive editing for adding a clarifying paragraph? R W Royce (talk) 10:39, 23 July 2014 (UTC) R W Royce
R W Royce - We do not endorse any article in such a way, and my deletion was the third time that your addition was removed - so this is not just my opinion. As has already been explained to you, you need to start a discussion on the article's talk page, identifying specific points which you think are wrong, explaining why, and citing reliable, third party, sources to support your opinion; and if necessary, citations to show that the existing references are incorrect. Please note that the article already suffers from an excess of primary sources, and anything that is not cited in an independantreliablesource is unlikely to be acceptable. - Arjayay (talk) 10:57, 23 July 2014 (UTC)

Hi, are you editing pages you know little about? Ex the WDA?
July 2014 statistics indicate that Wales attracted circa 5% of UK inward investment- up on previous years. Welsh "ministers" bragged this was a great peformance but it is in fact well down on the 15% the WDA regulary attracted. The WDA was taken inot private hands in an attempt to up the performance of Wales in attracting investment but Edwina Hart wrested the company out of private ownership.
Any such claim needs reliable sources, which this does not have. Any long-standing editor would remove such an unsourced claim, whether or not they know anything about the subject, in fact their lack of knowledge means that they have no conflict of interest making it easier to maintain a neutral point of view. FYI, the page was only drawn to my attention, because of the spelling mistakes
I have also just removed your equally unsourced accusation.
This page is being used by individuals or bodies with no real in-dependency to the subject, to manipulate the "story" for their own ends. It may be the WG itself!
If you wish to edit the page to add verifiable information from reliable independent sources please do so. Please do not add unsourced information, speculation or accusations. - Arjayay (talk) 11:17, 9 August 2014 (UTC)

Understood about RUSI update and then removal.
In fact I cited as much as one can from the Annual Report, which 24hrs ago was not on-line, but after a reminder has now appeared!
I will try to resurrect what was cited, assuming my skill level is enough.

Thanks for taking the time to respond regarding the IP user who has been something of an issue on the Fighting Fantasy titles. This person has once again made a blind revert at Creature of Havoc, despite my spending an hour melding together all the contribured information. I've reverted back once, and explained the rationale at the Talk page. I'll let you if this person reverts again. Kind regards Asgardian (talk) 15:48, 13 August 2014 (UTC)
Greetings. I'm contacting you as you were kind enough to respond the first time re: the anonymous IP user. A look here () shows that this person has in addition to making yet another a blind revert. They have then decided to be uncivil and try and spite with a constant refusal to sign their posts, and brag about it. Despite an offer to discuss the issue and some suggestions by myself, this user has adopted a my way or the way approach. What concerns me here is the complete disregard for the Wikipedia process. I offered to discuss at Talk and appear to be the subject of ridicule. Can you assist? Regards Asgardian (talk) 12:02, 18 August 2014 (UTC)
Asgardian Please realize I am not an Admin and I know nothing of the "Fantasy genre", other than some people can get very worked up about it. I note this is a book, rather than a video game, or movie, which most Fantasy articles seem to be about. As we do not seem to have any WP:MOS guidelines for gamebooks, or even games in general, I assume it comes under Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Novels, which states:-
" Plot summaries should be concise and an integral part of the article. Three or four paragraphs are usually sufficient for a full-length work, although very complex and lengthy novels may need a bit more. Shorter novels and short stories should have shorter summaries."'
I don't know the length of the book, or how "complex" it is (I am sure those wanting a longer plot will argue that it is complex), but suspect three or four paragraphs should suffice, although currently the paragraphs are fairly short. Although difficult to tell when other editors are IPs, you appear to be having a fairly limited discussion, which, to ensure true consensus should be broadened. I note that at the top of Talk:Creature of Havoc it states "You may prefer to discuss this article on the talk page for the List of Fighting Fantasy gamebooks article" which will presumably get more editors involved. Finally, although I agree that people not signing their posts etc. is annoying, you should not attack the editor, just concentrate on their argument. 13:36, 18 August 2014 (UTC)
Of course, although a check of the history shows our friend is the one being uncivil. Good tips, but if not an admin, why did you respond on their board? Don't get yourself into trouble!

Hi......After 10 months research with a positive outcome, I am trying to declare our Village as a Doubly Thankful Village. You have deleted the 'D' I placed after our name. I take on board your comments but please inform me as to who is the 'independent source' who will sanction our claim???????Magstyso (talk) 09:26, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
Hello Magstyso, thanks for your message. Please understand, it is not that I disbelieve you, but Wikipedia never allows the use of original research, only verifiable material already published in reliable sources. You need to interest someone in your research, but they need to have a reputation for fact checking, and be seen as independent, so local papers (some of which publish almost anything, in order to fill space) are rarely deemed suitable, although some are, and sometimes a piece in a local paper will lead to a larger piece in a national publication. I cannot see the BBC re-writing the article used to verify the current list of "Doubly" villages, and as far as I know the hellfireclub, which produces the main First World War lists, limits itself to WWI - although they may be worth approaching, as this would be an interesting addition to their lists. Thirdly, there must be some reputable local history societies, who might like to include your research, but please do not "self-publish" it, as that is deemed neither reliable, nor independent. You may find more specific help at either Wikipedia:WikiProject History or Portal:History where editors with a specific interest in history tend to gather, although those talk pages seem rather slow to generate responses. Finally, it is worth raising this at Talk:Thankful Villages, which may attract someone with a very specific interest, and also gets your claim on the talk page. - Arjayay (talk) 09:55, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
You have a great user page, I hope to talk again in the future
AH - Let's see if a leopard can change its spots - Arjayay (talk) 18:22, 13 September 2014 (UTC)
As it turned out - he couldn't
I'm referring to the article Luis Escobar, 7th Marquis of the Guadalquivir Marshes. According to Spanish custom, it is just plain wrong, and some would find it offensive, to refer to him as Luis Escobar in a reference work (or legal document). Both the Spanish es:wikipidia and the IMDb refer to him as Luis Escobar Kirkpatrick. I'm sure I could find more documentation in Spanish name control agencies if needed, but I don't see why the Spanish Wikipedia isn't enough reference. Presumably they know Spanish naming customs better than any of us do.
I have changed the article but don't know how to change the title. I thought either you could do it or would know whom I should direct this request to. Many thanks. deisenbe (talk) 22:18, 17 September 2014 (UTC)
"Wikipedia ... prefers to use the name that is most frequently used to refer to the subject in English-language reliable sources"
We are not, therefore, interested in what es:wikipidia uses - they presumably use the common name in Spanish, whereas we want English, whilst neither Wikipedia, nor IMDb are reliable sources
The page needs to be WP:Moved - which as your account is autoconfirmed, you should be able to do. Assuming you are on the standard "Vector" skin, click the "More" button to the left of the search-box, which gives a drop down including "Move" - click "Move" and fill in the form. Moving the page will leave a redirect at Luis Escobar, 7th Marquis of the Guadalquivir Marshes so anyone looking for that page (which will still appear in search engines etc. for some weeks) will automatically be redirected to the new title Luis Escobar Kirkpatrick, and moving the article will preserve the edit history.
Please do not "cut and paste" the article to the new title, as this will loose the edit history, back to 2006, and it will have to be undone. Once moved, please go to Luis Escobar and change the title on that disambiguation page, to the new title, and also change the redirects at Luis Escobar (actor) and Luis Escobar (director) These changes avoid double redirects, which can cause problems. Once moved, if you click on "What links here" in the left hand column of the new page, it will show you other articles that may need their links changing, to avoid a redirect, although single redirects are not really such a big problem. If you would like me to move the page and tidy up, just ask, but it is a useful thing to learn how to do - Arjayay (talk) 14:45, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
I agree completely. Should I undo the change I made and redo it, or proceed to change the change? Haven't gotten to Redirects yet.deisenbe (talk) 15:33, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
deisenbe, it's probably best to undo it (or move it back) and then move it again, to avoid any treble redirects - although I admit I've not done that before. - Arjayay (talk) 15:40, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
I went to undo the change, and the reply was that it had already been undone. At this point I've lost track of what's going on, and would appreciate it if you would just fix it. Thank youi. deisenbe (talk) 16:18, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
deisenbe, OK all done, pages moved and links tidied up. as can be seen here the only links not direct to the new page are the ones in the discussion on this page - Arjayay (talk) 16:41, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
I'm pleased that you fixed up some of my contributions on Monkees' album articles (e.g. typos etc). I'm just a little unsure as to why you removed the links I added from pages such as this one. The reason I added them was to prevent users from removing the information I added due to supposed lack of evidence that the information I added was correct. -- C.Syde (talk|contribs) 08:01, 24 September 2014 (UTC)
Hi User:C.Syde65 What you added were WP:External links in the main text of the article, which are normally not allowed - (we only use External links in the External links section and in the infobox) hence my edit summary "Rm EL from bodytext". What you should have added were WP:References which add the little number, and explain where they come from, at the foot of the page. I should have, and normally do, change External links to References, but did not think this information was sufficiently controversial to require a reference. However, having now reviewed what you added, I can see why you felt it needed a reference. For information about the various ways to add references, please see Help:Referencing for beginners - Arjayay (talk) 08:20, 24 September 2014 (UTC)
Oh, okay. Also I was wondering how you upload album pictures. I don't know how to upload pictures to wiki. -- C.Syde (talk|contribs) 10:01, 24 September 2014 (UTC)
Hello again User:C.Syde65 Album covers are copyright, but can be used under a claim of “fair-use” although they have to be uploaded to English Wikipedia, whereas non-copyright images are uploaded to Wikipedia Commons Being “fair-use” there are a few more rules, particularly about them having to be low-resolution images, and controlling where they can be used. Album covers can only be used in an article about that specific album. They cannot be used in a general article about the band, and cannot be used in a discography
Find a copy of the cover which has at least one side 300pixels or less. Amazon is good for recent albums – most of their images are 300 x 300 or 240 x 240. If you have to photograph or scan an old cover, because you can’t find an image, or have to use Google images to find one, it may need reducing in size to bring it down
Save this image to your computer, preferably under a sensible name, not an image number
On the English Wikipedia, click “Upload file” under “tools” on the left hand side panel
Follow the instructions and note very carefully the file name you use – this is case sensitive and cannot use “illegal” file name characters
Go to the page you want to use the file If there is an infobox insert the file as Cover = title (must be exact & include extension e.g. .jpg) Save page (Will take a few seconds to link up the first time)
Hope that helps - any more questions - just ask - Arjayay (talk) 10:42, 24 September 2014 (UTC)
I have gone through all 3 articles on Azamgarh and I think the fit page to add these people is Azamgarh itself. My father hails from Azamgarh and I have extended family and house there. In the state of Uttar Pradesh, towns are organised as districts. Not all towns / cities can be district. The districts are then clubbed into divisions. So, Azamgarh town is a district which also happens to be part of Azamgarh division. Though the website states "Azamgargh an official website of the district" but there is no website of town / municipality so do we remove Azamgarh page? Please note municipality is a part of district and hence there won't be a separate website for it.
Also going by that logic, we need to move following people to district website as they belong to places i.e. town/villages in Azamgarh:
Shaikh Shamim Ahmed - born in small town of Sudanipur (Shudnipur), in Azamgarh district.
Kaifi Azmi - born in village of Mizwaa(n) in Azamgarh
Hamiduddin Farahi - born in village Phreha in the district of Azamgarh
Similarly Delhi is a City, Capital and also a State in India. So, do we create separate pages and add people names in different page? No, right?
Do let me know if you have any further queries. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Vinodtiwari2608 (talk • contribs) 14:49, 2 October 2014 (UTC)
Vinodtiwari2608 I fully understand the town/district/division system, and as I have already stated on your user page, we have an article on each of them, and those people not from Azamgarh itself need to be in Azamgarh District. When removing the names the first time, I clearly stated why, naming each town in turn. to make it clear that they are not from Azamgarh itself. We have had a lot of problems on that page with such additions, which is why there is a clear hidden text in the article immediately above where you have been adding these names. If other names need to be moved, then they should be moved, not used as a "reason" for adding even more information in the wrong place. - Arjayay (talk) 14:58, 2 October 2014 (UTC)
Arjayay I understand and appreciate your concern but I think you are not understanding my point. You may cross verify it with anyone hailing from the city. Further if you see the website it a common one for district and division. It also has a place holder for commissioner name which as present is empty. DM or District Magistrate is a District level official. You may want to check with someone whom you find trustworthy to verify, if you don't concur with me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Vinodtiwari2608 (talk • contribs) 15:03, 2 October 2014 (UTC)
Vinodtiwari2608 You don't appear to understand the very basic problem:- People not from a place, should not appear in an article about that place. Trying to justify why people not from Azamgarh, should appear in an article about Azamgarh, makes no sense whatsoever, and is simply WP:IDONTLIKEIT. Thank you for pointing out that more people should be deleted from the article - although 2 have reliable sources to show that they lived in Azamgarh, so do have a connection with the place. - Arjayay (talk) 18:55, 3 October 2014 (UTC)

Vinodtiwari2608 - I see, from the red-link, that you have already managed to get the page Meher Singh deleted. However, I am not sure why you have re-created this page as Mehar Singh (pilot). There is (now) no page called Meher Singh, so we do not need, or want, to disambiguate the title - i.e. we do not need the (pilot) as there are no other Mehar Singh article.
However, I suspect you may have tried to re-name the article as the original article was tagged as a copyright violation. Most of this new article has been copied from this web-page, so I have tagged the new article as a Copyright violation. Moving or recreating an article is no way of getting round the copyright rules. - Arjayay (talk) 17:27, 18 October 2014 (UTC)
Why do you insist on continuing to edit war against my updates to Ben Maller's page? Your version of the page contains much irrelevant and outdated information. Could we perhaps compromise? I'm actually a daily listener to his show and am very reputable on the things of Ben Maller. It would be in the best interest to keep the material that I added. Don't be a buzzkill, brother.
-Yayitsjp (talk) 20:18, 25 October 2014 (UTC)
Yayitsjp I cannot "continue to edit war" as I have only made 2 edits, one to remove your additions, for the reasons stated, and the other to remove the flag from the infobox, which is contrary to the guidelines. I fully agree that the page has problems, in particular the lack of citations, but you made significant additions to the page, and actually reduced the number of references. Please do not remove blank info-box parameters, these do not show-up until they are used, but help editors add further information to the infobox. Please ensure that all the information you add is properly referenced - in verifiable, reliable sources - not what you know from listening to the programme; and please avoid a detailed "segment by segment" break-down of the show - Wikipedia is not a directory, but an encyclopedia. - Arjayay (talk) 20:40, 25 October 2014 (UTC)
I'll go ahead and move the Ben Maller Show page to a separate page. I'm fine with you removing the flag. The references I removed were all rotting links. I'll go ahead and re-add the blank parameters, sorry 'bout that. I'm new to this. I think it's in the best interest of all involved to separate the page and reduce the trivia. Sorry if I came across as overly bold. I simply want to see the page improved. Can we perhaps work to fix it? Yayitsjp (talk) 20:56, 25 October 2014 (UTC)
Yayitsjp - No worries - people often get up-tight when their early edits are reverted There are a lot of rules around here and people can't be expected to know them all - I certainly don't and I've been around for about 6 years and 60,000 edits. Im in the UK and have no idea if the show is "notable" enough to merit its own "stand-alone" article. The guidance at Wikipedia:Notability (radio show host) covers the shows as well as the hosts. -I suggest you read it all (it's fairly short) but the important sections are:-
Notability can be asserted for radio shows and hosts through:
Nontrivial inclusion in reliable third party published materials.
A significant amount of non-trivial media coverage that is comprehensive, and that deals specifically with the radio show and host as the primary subject.
The following ... should be rejected....
Documents produced by the radio shows and hosts should not be used as an assertion of notability. However, they can be used as supplemental source material for an article.
Internal documents can include reports, newsletters, press releases, magazines and websites published by the radio shows and hosts. This applies even if originally self-published material is later reprinted in other sources.
Is there enough third-party, non-trivial, coverage of the show (not the host)? (Got to go now, so cant respond for about 12 hours) - Arjayay (talk) 21:00, 25 October 2014 (UTC)
All biases aside, yes I do honestly believe that the page on notable enough to warrant it's own show page. Let me do some digging regrading some third party sources... I'm pretty confident I will be able to find quite a few outside of Twitter and Facebook. I'll definitely work on this and get back to you. I'd like to continue to help to improve the Ben Maller page. I'm new here but I'm eager to learn and quickly improve. I definitely feel, though, that The Blitz (Fox Sports Blitz) is not notable enough for it's own page as it's essentially a "filler" radio show so to speak and does not warrant it's own page. Do you think we could also find a public-domain image of Ben Maller to display? I can probably contact him and ask him.
Quick question though: is it just me or has the "timeslot" parameter been removed from Wikipedia? Not sure if you'd be able to help me with that or not.
Also, it may be best to remove the "benmaller.com" link as the site is essentially dead. At one point Maller used it to break numerous news articles in the world of sports... since then he's let it fall into a state of disrepair and it's essentially a blank page right now. I don't think a blank page is really worth linking to for anthing other than posterity sake, yanno?
Have a great night. I'm about to get some shuteye myself. We'll chat more about this tomorrow. God bless.
I See you have split off the The Ben Maller Show but this has no references at all, so is highly likely to be deleted. I have made some minor tweaks, to both that and Ben Maller - the most drastic one being at Ben Maller # Notable Events This used to start:- "During the night March 11th, 2010" without explaining what was being talked about From the final word of the paragraph "Fukushima", I assumed it was the Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, but that was in 2011, not 2010 I have, however, been WP:BOLD bold and added a link to 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, If I'm wrong, please delete this - Arjayay (talk) 08:45, 26 October 2014 (UTC)
I'm afraid I don't understand enough about the decision making process to make a useful contribution:- If the Chief Minister states something, or the Cabinet makes a statement, is that necessarily a binding agreement? or does it still need to be negotiated, debated and voted on? The Times if India appears to be being deliberately vague "it gives strong indication that the capital will come up in Amaravati." which is clearly NOT a statement that it will "come up in Amaravati". I think it is fair to include these statements, as quotations, but not as facts, since they are, as stated, only "indications". There seems to be a lot of political pressure being applied by different towns and districts, to try and influence the decision, which, presumably means that the decision has yet to be made. - Arjayay (talk) 19:48, 31 October 2014 (UTC)
Arjayay, the german system may sound rather specific and sounds rather complicated from an anglo-american view. But it has deep roots in the motherland of the reformation and makes a lot of sense there;) . I provided some sources on that and reqorded the statement to avoid further controversies. I hope that solves the issue now. Serten II (talk) 13:03, 12 December 2014 (UTC)
Serten II - It is not the German system that is the problem, but the fact that the sentence is meaningless - I can't correct it, because it is so unclear that I can't work out what you are trying to say - Although you say you have "reqorded"(sic) the statement; it is still meaningless. - Arjayay (talk) 13:20, 12 December 2014 (UTC)
I won't revert it again, since the essence of the statement is being stated in the entry anyway. but it shows some ignorance of your part of how Nation (and church) building works. I used the content as well in Ahmadiyya. Role of Churches in Nation Building may be a separate and rather noteable entry. Cheers Serten II (talk) 13:48, 12 December 2014 (UTC)
Thank you for pointing out my ignorance - As I said above, it is not the German system that is the problem, but the fact that the sentence is meaningless. It looks like you've fed it though Google translate - what are you trying to say? Arjayay (talk) 13:54, 12 December 2014 (UTC)
I didn't intend to get personal - its a rather widespread anglo issue and difference to the German system. Point is that education (and the deliberate inclusion of religion within) has been a cornerstone of the construction of Germany as a federal nation(s) state and is rather different to the separation of church and state elsewhere. The shared responsibility for education was not only used to built a nation but as well to implement and maintain the churches as specific public law legal entities. Muslims in general had problems in getting involved in the game and it was as an initiative of German politics, the Deutsche Islamkonferenz, not only to discusss but to install churchlike muslim associations the state was able to and willing to talk to. The Ahmadiyyas, (a sort of Latter day muslim sect) have by chance a rather German sounding setup and managed first to being acknowledged as a sort of Landeskirche. Anilyadav12345 Thank you for your message
Please note that I didn't revert your last changes, these were automatically reverted by Clue-Bot, a bot that realized you had messed up the page
As is clearly stated on the editing page:-
Include only people with Wikipedia articles. If somebody does not have an article and merits an article, make the article before adding the name here.
NB This article is about the Municipality of Azamgarh, not the District, nor the Division. Please only include people from the Municipality
Taking the names you keep adding:-
Vinod K Singh is from Anantpur, not Azamgarh city, so is already included in Azamgarh district, where he should be
Rahul Sankrityayan is from Kanaila, not Azamgarh city, so is already included in Azamgarh district, where he should be
Shamsur Rahman Faruqi has no citations stating where he is from, so should not be included until there is one
Shyam Narayan Pandeyis from Dumraon, not Azamgarh city, so is already included in Azamgarh district, where he should be
Laxmi Narayan Mishra is from Basti, not Azamgarh city, so is already included in Azamgarh district, where he should be
Zami Chiraiyakoti does not have an article, so should not be included, until his article has been written
Please note that the list is (or should be) in alphabetical order of last-names so Ram Naresh Yadav should be at the bottom, although you keep moving him to the top.

Thanks for your comments on the AFD for illridewithyou here: .
I am a bit curious though why you didn't get harassed while I did. Do you have any insight as to why, when I commented underneath, I hate 2 hate-filled bouts of harassment following it, while your comment got none?
I am just trying to understand what I might have done wrong, as this whole thing is quite surprising and upsetting to me.
Thank you. KrampusC (talk) 14:42, 28 December 2014 (UTC)
KrampusC - Thanks for your post. Obviously, I don't know why, others reacted as they did - have you asked the editors who posted those comments? although that might invite further vitriol
If you want me to guess - your comments appear to be rather speculative:- "seems to have calmed down any thought" - "while otherwise there might have been" - "This is probably" - "In many ways, this hashtag was more important" - without any reliable sources these all seem to be just your POV. My only comments were to note that the only editor voting for a straight delete was a blocked sock-puppet, and to point out the number of Google-hits. Sorry I can't be more specific - Arjayay (talk) 15:51, 30 December 2014 (UTC)

Hi User:SBproject
firstly, please sign your posts on talk pages with 4 tildes ~~~~ like this
The problem is you have NOT cited any references whatsoever. In fact the Italian version doesn't have any references either, but even if it did, we do not expect people to look on another language Wikipedia, you need to include sources in the English Language article. External links (Collegamenti esterni) to sites like IMDB are NOT references. Add references from an independent, reliable, sources, and there should be no problem - please see WP:Referencing for beginners as to how to do this - Arjayay (talk) 13:06, 8 January 2015 (UTC)
SBproject (talk) 17:36, 8 January 2015 (UTC)HI,
SBproject (talk) 17:36, 8 January 2015 (UTC)Thanks for your advices, i tried to insert the references as you suggested.
Tell me if in this way is it all ok.
Thanks
Regards
SBproject - Well done - you were nearly right You should put the date it was published (issued) under "date", and the day you read it under "access date" - don't worry, this is a common mistake. The idea of having 2 dates is that sometimes websites change their information, and it records which day you read it. This allows someone using the "Wayback Machine" or another archive search to find the exact page that you read. I have corrected the references, and removed the BLP deletion tag - although it would be nice if you could find at least one reference in English. - Arjayay (talk) 18:43, 8 January 2015 (UTC)

I am at a loss on what to do with this user. Where should we report them? Sockpupptery, edit warring, vandalism? This person will not stop, and I am seriously getting enough of this bull. I thank you for helping me (: Callmemirela (talk) 16:42, 10 January 2015 (UTC)
Callmemirela - I agree totally. I've given the IP a "Vandal4im" warning, as there is no "Disruptive 4im" template - If that doesn't work it will have to be WP:AIV The 3RR led to the article being semi-protected - as seen here hence the attack moving onto the talk page. - Arjayay (talk) 16:54, 10 January 2015 (UTC)
Arjayay Okay, thank you. I will file a report as soon the IP address attacks again. This has been going for too long, and I have had enough. Thanks again (: Callmemirela (talk) 16:58, 10 January 2015 (UTC)

My edit, which you reverted on the teahouse, was indeed correct. You can check the edit history of the teahouse and the original edit was made by me and I can confirm that originally I did not intend to have the 4 threads and the deletion was not accidental. Instead it was a problem with the <nowiki> tag. Please address the problem.
I'm not quite sure I understand the point you are making above. Are you saying that in this diff you deliberately deleted the four threads below your post? i.e. the posts:-
How does one edit the introductory paragraph?
editing semi protected
how to change my username
markup for "footnotes: page numbers"
As can be seen from the diff - you definitely did delete the text of those four threads, they were not just hidden by a "nowiki tag" problem
This can also be verified at the page history here which shows you reduced the length of the Wikipedia:Teahouse/Questions page by a net 7,851 bytes - the 7,992 you deleted being slightly offset by the small amount of text you added. - Arjayay (talk) 15:41, 12 January 2015 (UTC)
Sorry about forgetting the tildes. I didn't deliberately add the threads. They somehow appeared on their own. I did, however, deliberately delete them. They were not part of the question. I didn't mean that the problem was fixed by the nowiki tag. Rather, I mean it could have, though not likely, caused the threads to appear. The Average Wikipedian (talk) 02:46, 13 January 2015 (UTC)
You didn't add the threads - they were already there - This was your first edit - which as shown in the history added just 269 bytes - The effect of your addition was to crash the previous 4 threads into each other, but you didn't add them. If you look at the page immediately before you edited it here you can see the 4 threads I listed above, and if you click "newer revision" under the pink bar on that page, you can see what happened. One nice thing about Wikipedia is that such mistakes are easily rectified. - Arjayay (talk) 08:35, 13 January 2015 (UTC)
I don't think you really get my point. What I mean is that the four threads don't matter and I didn't want them, so I deleted them. It's not about the technical problems behind. Anyway, I made that edit and my intentions were to delete the threads. Therefore, I don't see why you should have reverted the edit. After all, it was my edit on a post which I posted personally. The Average Wikipedian (talk) 14:42, 14 January 2015 (UTC)
Ok, sorry, but I'm getting a little bit confused here. So basically I think what happened was that there were originally four threads, and then they got into the section with my question, and, under the effect of the nowiki tag, they showed up in wikicode. If this is what you mean, then I understand your edit. I think therefore that this is indeed a problem caused by the nowiki tag, because I typed the question into the question-asking form. I didn't realise that the content within the form would affect the rest of the teahouse. The Average Wikipedian (talk) 14:51, 14 January 2015 (UTC)
Yes, that is exactly what happened - because you put <nowiki> without a matching </nowiki> all the text after yours appeared as wikicode, until it found the next </nowiki> towards the end of the fourth thread below yours. You must always close a formatting instruction, or it will carry on applying the formatting - bold, small, underlined or whatever formatting - until it finds the next instruction to close that formatting. It's only a dumb computer - it does what it is told to do. - Arjayay (talk) 15:03, 14 January 2015 (UTC)
from this id changed the birth year to 1977, without any reference. which is very bad faith age someone intentionally. this is still cannot remove from google search also.
please advise. Landy3 (talk) 13:29, 24 January 2015 (UTC)
Hi Landy3 No, that account has nothing to do with me, it was only created this morning and has already been blocked as a deliberate attempt to cause confusion with my user-name. They presumably chose a variation on my name, as I was the last person to edit Thesara Jayawardane before them - I removed the flags from the infobox as this contravenes MOS:ICON#Avoid_flag_icons_in_infoboxes. I don't know where the Google search got its information from - just because Wikipedia is mentioned, doesn't mean that all the information comes from Wikipedia. If it did come from our article, it will change when Google's crawlers get around to re-reading the page - if it didn't come from our article then it won't change until whatever source it obtained the information from changes it. However, you are accusing someone of changing the birth year to 1977 without any reference - but we have no reference for the current date of 24 April 1984 either - so that needs to be removed from the article. - Arjayay (talk) 15:42, 24 January 2015 (UTC)
thank you for your prompt respond. yes thanks for blocking that user. this person deliberately attacking this page. he hacked in to another wiki account user:deepal66 and changed the same information and added misleading spouse information. i agreed that dob information should be removed because there is no reference that also.
google search picking up old version of wikipage. some weird reason same day this user changed the birth year to 1977.
is there any chance protect this article from unregistered users and users that has less than 10 wiki edits? just a question.

Hello Arjayay, Thanks for the Edits on Yung Stet page! The bold text was something I totally forgot to fix. Also, if you like and it will be much appreciated, you can make a vote for the page. I've been working on it for almost a year now. First time I published it before it was ready, but I revised it and fix the previous issues providing more info. It was undeleted but is going back thru the standard AFD process. I was told it is def much better now. So if you have time, make a vote. Hopefully I can keep it up this time around. Thanks again Arjayay! Topdog2014 (talk) 04:19, 30 January 2015 (UTC)
Hi Topdog2014 - thanks for the message. Please understand that AFD is not a "vote" it is based on whether the article meets Wikipedia guidelines, especially notability Please also note that there is a guideline Wikipedia:Canvassing which says "canvassing which is done with the intention of influencing the outcome of a discussion in a particular way is considered inappropriate." - so please don't try to persuade editors to support your case. - Arjayay (talk) 09:06, 30 January 2015 (UTC)
You are welcome, Yes I totally understand i didn't really mean to make it seem like I was asking for a favor. I'm still somewhat new to certain things on here, but I didn't ask any other editor. Sorry about that, thanks for informing me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Topdog2014 (talk • contribs) 10:08, 30 January 2015 (UTC)
Take a parliamentarian who works tooth and nail for his constituents (I am one, you are evidently not), turn their wikipedia page into a politically bias hate campaign and think it is fair? His voting record, expenses and 'social media gaffs' are all publicly accessible. You must not highlight and portray him in a way that suits your own personal inclination. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.181.84.196 (talk) 04:36, 31 January 2015 (UTC)
86.181.84.196 - As a constituent of Andrew Rosindell, possibly someone who knows him, or even works for him, you have a potential conflict of interest. However, despite your accusation, I have not used Wikipedia "to highlight and portray him in a way that suits your own personal inclination". If you had bothered to look at the history of the page, I removed an unsourced accusation here and a deliberate mis-implication here - the only other changes I had made were typos and style. However, you then removed all negative comments from that article, even though these were sourced, which shows clear bias on your part. Please note, I was not the first editor to revert your attempt to "whitewash" the article, and a far more experienced editor, with nearly half a million edits, has since reverted your third attempt. - Arjayay (talk) 11:07, 31 January 2015 (UTC)
Hello Mr Arjayay,
Thanks for your message on my talk page it was indeed very helpful.
I wanted some understanding on how the Wikipedia articles are listed in google search
Usually the biography of personalities are distinctly made available with thumbnails and feedback , the moment you type in their name
but the article of a chess player "Mohammad Ashraf" that I have edited seems to have lost its place from the google search first page list let alone its distinct appearance like other biographies.
Have I done anything wrong which has led to this awkward result.
Kindly explain.--Nayeemm (talk) 18:30, 4 March 2015 (UTC)
Hi Nayeemm and thanks for your message May I say how well you have done with your first article - I had to make some changes, to keep within the rules and guidelines, but generally it was a very good first effort.
Google has its own rules as to how things are ordered, which they try to keep secret to stop companies altering things to get ahead of their rivals in the list. The position in the list can also change depending on where you are in the world - you have done nothing wrong, but Google's crawlers can take several days to catch up. When you say "distinct appearance" I assume you are referring to a photo and text shown to the right of a Google search? This is called Google's Knowledge Graph (see our article for more details). Google gets its information from a wide variety of sources. There may be a text paragraph ending with "Wikipedia" to indicate that particular text was copied from Wikipedia. An image and other text before or after the Wikipedia excerpt may be from sources completely unrelated to Wikipedia. We have no control over how Google presents our information, but Google's Knowledge Graph has a "Feedback" link where anyone can mark a field as wrong.
Not everyone, gets a Knowledge Graph - and I don't know how they choose - usually the subjects that get a Knowledge Graph have many thousands of Google matches, so you may have to wait until Mohammad Ashraf is better known. Sorry I can't help more, but Google makes its own rules and decisions - and they have nothing to do with Wikipedia. - Arjayay (talk) 19:27, 4 March 2015 (UTC)
Thanks for the reply Sir,
I believe this has something to do with the article not being under a biography . For eg if u edit a page say Rucha Pujari or Adhiban Baskaran , what you see is that wikipedia promptly displays that these are biographies unlike the case with Mohammad Ashraf . I presume you could help me correct this aspect. I am sure you understand what I am trying to mean.Nayeemm (talk) 19:37, 4 March 2015 (UTC)
Hi Nayeemm - I'm afraid I don't know what you mean - I can see no real difference with the Rucha Pujari article - it uses the same infobox etc, and we don't have an article on Adhiban Baskaran. I'm afraid I don't understand why you think one is a biography and another isn't - are you reading these on a phone or an I-pad? because they do display things differently. In any case, Wikipedia can take several days to update all the parameters - Then Google has to catch up . I'm afraid all you can do is be patient. - Arjayay (talk) 19:44, 4 March 2015 (UTC)

Firstly please sign your posts on talk pages with 4 tildes ~~~~
I am not clear what you are trying to say in your post above, but it is irrelevant how long the twitter account has been there, we never put external links in the body of an article. I have, therefore, created an external links section and moved it there. - Arjayay (talk) 14:49, 9 March 2015 (UTC)
Hi can you check the List of Indian IT companies page. I have trimmed the list albeit to an extent. Request you to look into it along with the talk page. Lakun.patra (talk) 05:55, 12 March 2015 (UTC)
Hi Lakun.patra - thanks for the post. I have answered at Talk:List of Indian IT companies. Although Wikipedia encourages editors to be BOLD I wouldn't be surprised if someone reverts you - such major changes are normally discussed before being implemented. - Arjayay (talk) 08:38, 12 March 2015 (UTC)
Hi mate,
I was viewing an article and in the editing history, one editor has removed the Unreferenced tag from the article, I looked for references but I couldnt find a ref list or a references section, only some external links the majority of which look to point to the same URL, I was going to revert the edit, but I was not sure where I should or not, so I thought I would ask about it first before doing so, is there any help that you can give me? TeaLover1996Lets talk about it 11:08, 13 March 2015 (UTC)
Hi User:TeaLover1996 - I see you have also asked this question, and it has been answered, at the Teahouse. I also note that you have speedied Dhanmondi Tutorial - however you should read the second line of the speedy notice carefully:-
Note that educational institutions are not eligible under this criterion. See CSD A7.
As Dhanmondi Tutorial is an "educational institution" it is not eligible under that criteria, so you might want to remove the speedy notice. - Arjayay (talk) 12:34, 13 March 2015 (UTC)
AFAIK, User:TeaLover1996, there isn't a speedy category. Although you could go via WP:AFD, high schools and inhabited places (towns), are generally considered notable. As WP:NHS explains:-
Articles on high schools and secondary schools, with rare exceptions, have been kept when nominated at Articles for Deletion except where they fail verifiability.
The school has a web-site, so we can verify it exists, so it passes verifiability; although I note Ukexpat has tagged it for notability and needing third party sources. I have argued that this is wrong in the past, but to no avail. I seem to remember working out there are about 1 Million schools in the world - which is a lot of articles. It is not the size of the articles that worry me - Wikipedia's servers can cope, but the fact that schools articles are among the most problematic. Students frequently add rude comments about other students, or staff, or vandalize rival schools' pages. Staff and parents add puffery and remove any negative comments etc.- Arjayay (talk) 13:13, 13 March 2015 (UTC)
I am the author and local to the region where the Black Patch war actually took place. The Wikipedia account that is up there now is at best except for the initial column inaccurate incomplete and a total farse. I have taken my time to wrote a more accurate account of what happened only to have you take it down. I know there is no way in hell you even had time to read it check it or anything because it was only up for 3 minutes.
Hi User:Tlward1970 Firstly, please sign your posts on all talk pages with 4 tildes: like this ~~~~ which adds your name and a time-stamp Please understand that Wikipedia articles have to be based solely upon what has already been published in reliable sources, and can never be based upon original research. Although a few of the points you added were mentioned in the article you included within the main text, rather than including as a reference, most of them were not. Please read WP:Referencing for beginners and add references to reliable, third party sources to support additions you make to Wikipedia articles. - Arjayay (talk) 18:22, 15 March 2015 (UTC)
Firstly I owe you an apology for lashing out at you in frustration. I was unclear on how to exactly reference my material. As you have surely noted I am working diligently to correct those oversights. If you should have any edits you see fit to make on my work or tips to improve, please let me know. I'm learning and very new to this. Tlward1970 (talk) 16:23, 16 March 2015 (UTC)tlward1970
Hi User:Tlward1970 Apology accepted - Wikipedia rules are complex, and some are even counter-intuitive, but we have all had to start somewhere - some editors are, however, less patient than others. You may have noticed I corrected some spellings in Black Patch Tobacco Wars earlier today. You seem to have understood basic references and the article is much better - there was only one reference when you started. One thing that would help, is dealing with the multiple references - as explained at Help:Referencing for beginners#Same reference used more than once. To take the refs you added today, if you choose a name for the references you are going to use more than once, (I would use something like CG252 to remind me it was Country Gentlemen Page 252) then type <ref name="GG252"> at the beginning of the first time you use that reference, instead of the <ref>, then when you use the reference again just use <ref name="GG252" /> This will group all the references together in the footnotes section. Assuming you are using the standard editor, you can click "Cite" in the top line then click "Named references", and all the names used on that page will appear, allowing you to choose the right one. Any problems/questions, don't be afraid to ask, although I am in the UK so tend to stop around 19.30 UTC
Hey! I would like to report some vandalism on the album site for "To Pimp A Butterfly" by Kendrick Lamar.
First you go to the summary "producers" and he got his name in there "Itzik Bensoli", and then after to tracklisting that he have completely ereased the original producer names and put his own name "Itzik Bensoli" . (this regards track nr 4 "Institutionilized") where it should be - Fredrik 'Tommy Black' Halldin, Rahki. Also in the "writer" section he got his name "Itzik Bensoli" that should be ereased also.

Could you please remove the alumni without Wikipedia articles from Sweet Briar College. Thank you--Cantucove (talk) 01:24, 20 March 2015 (UTC)
Hi Cantucove - Thanks for your post - although I'm not sure why you came to me. I see there has been an extensive edit war on the Sweet Briar College article, about this, but no-one has tried to discuss it on the talkpage, to reach consensus about what the inclusion criteria should be. Many articles have adopted a "no article=no inclusion" criteria, but this is not an overarching policy or guideline. You need to read WP:NLIST, WP:Source list and WP:CSC which includes "it is reasonable to expect an article could be forthcoming in the future" Provided an individual meets the notability criteria for people (significant coverage, in reliable sources, that are independent of the subject) and this is demonstrated by references, they can be included, unless consensus requires an article. We have had people trying to add entire "class of '72" lists (probably because it included their name) whilst many educational establishments have "famous alumni" lists which include locally known people, who do not meet Wikipedia's notability criteria. - Arjayay (talk) 08:23, 20 March 2015 (UTC)
Can you Please stop editing my article tilttled Ngok Lual Yak?
No - User:203.161.120.119 - AKA Choldit Ngok Lual Yak is most definitely NOT "Your article" - it is Wikipedia's article and you have no more right to edit it than anyone else. Please read WP:OWN, and please stop removing maintenance templates without addressing the issues - this is considered vandalism. - Arjayay (talk) 12:06, 22 March 2015 (UTC)

kindly expecting your positive response.
Thank You —Preceding unsigned comment added by Roshan014 (talk • contribs) 17:21, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
Hi Roshan014 - Thanks for your post. If it is a picture that you found on the internet, you almost certainly cannot upload it to Wikipedia, because it is very probably copyright. The rules over copyright are complicated, but explained here. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously and copyright images are deleted, except in very special circumstances, known as "fair-use" which is explained here. A few images on the internet have their copyright released, but without this, they cannot be used - the fact that something does not say it is copyright is irrelevant, we can use images with a clear copyright release. Where files are uploaded to, and how to do it, depends on the copyright situation - if you can give a link to the picture, I can try to advise you on this. - Arjayay (talk) 18:22, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
Thank You for your Response sir...
This is the link to the picture which i actually needed to upload, Its the image of an Indian Actress Tanya Sharma and i would like to upload this image to the bio Article of this Actress.
Sir please read Zafarnamah of Guru Gobind Singh to have accurate information of the battle of chamkaur please sir .The Mughals were not victorious . Because they were 10 lakh in number but still they failed to capture Sikh leader Gobind Singh who had only 40 Sikhs with him. Firstly, please put your posts at the bottom of talk pages and do not delete existing text
Secondly, please sign your posts on all talk pages with 4 tildes (~~~~) which adds your signature and a timestamp
Thirdly, if you want to suggest a change, please request this on the talk page of the relevant article, in the form "Please replace XXX with YYY" or "Please add ZZZ between PPP and QQQ". Ak107839 - You seem to misunderstand what Wikipedia means by a reliable source Pasting a large amount of text on a talk page proves absolutely nothing - you could have written that yourself, or altered it to say what you want it to say. You need to cite a publication, preferably on-line, where this can be checked, and as it is a translation, you need to explain where the translation can be seen, who translated it and when? However, this is not the only problem, you have said "Read [the] zafarnamah which is a correct description of the battle" - how can we tell whether it is correct or not? It is what Gobind Singh claims, but he clearly does not have a neutral point of view - he is writing this solely from his point of view, and could well be exaggerating things for his own benefit. It is what on Wikipedia we call a Primary Source which we always try and avoid using. Independent, neutral, historians who can look at the battle from the accounts of both sides, and correlate this with any archaeological finds, should be able to balance up the different claims - although unfortunately some historians are not neutral either. - Arjayay (talk) 18:09, 27 March 2015 (UTC)
Arjayay Hello, I responded to your tag on the Minnesota State University, Mankato page. I added references which address both the notability and the website source that explained the alumni's relationship to the institution. Please let's discuss before tagging the page again. Respectfully 23 out of 34 of the referenced people have their wikipedia page. There is a group of professional athletes, which are notable as public personas (eg they have profiles from the National Hockey League, National Football League or Major League Baseball which are verifiable sources). A number are politicians, which as previously stated have their own wikipedia pages already. So, your tag is not warranted. They are verifiable, notable as noted before, and have approximately the same level of importance.
Hi Randomeditor1000 Thanks for your post, but please sign your posts on talk pages with 4 tildes (~~~~) to add your signature and timestamp. You had removed all but one of the unreferenced names, without Wikipedia articles, so I have removed the remaining one. The problem with Alumni lists is that they get bloated with far too many non-notable people, often people add themselves as discussed at:- Your alma mater is not your ticket to Wikipedia. Most Alumni lists require every entry to have an article, as this is the easiest way to clearly demonstrate the individual meets Wikipedia:Notability (people). However, for the most prestigious institutions, this can give too many names, e.g. Trinity College, Cambridge just lists Nobel Prizewinners and Prime Ministers on the article page, List of alumni of Trinity College, Cambridge lists 264 alumni, whilst Category:Alumni of Trinity College, Cambridge lists over 2300, so over 2000 do not even make the separate stand alone list. The inclusion criteria are, therefore wildly different, including unimportant people on some lists and excluding clearly notable people on others. IMHO there should be a simple "No article = No inclusion" rule, futher guidelines as to the maximum number in an article on an institution, and how to deal with stand alone lists. - Arjayay (talk) 17:30, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
I think that the second paragraph of the Sexual Abuse Scandal section of the Diocesan College article has too many allegations and innuendos but with no names or dates. The only reference is the Noseweek article (http://www.noseweek.co.za/article/3210/Sex-abuse-cover-up-row-at-elite-Cape-school) While Noseweek certianly digs up dirt, it's not known as an august publication of record. I feel either some better substantiation to the allegations be provided in the article so that all the "reportedly's" can be removed or the allegations should be removed. What are your thoughts? (talk) 13:21, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
Hi Wayne Jayes - thanks for your post - I only came across the page cleaning up "reportably" as I have adopted Wikipedia:Lists of common misspellings/R. Being in the UK I have not come across Noseweek, if it is satirical, like Private Eye, or a total tabloid, like National Enquirer, I would get rid of anything relying on it immediately. However "reliable" or not Noseweek is, I can't see either of the quotations that cite it as a source, in the on-line article at all, so I assume they are in the full article, which is subscription only? I agree that there are too many weasel words, but it is difficult to re-write without seeing the entire article. Do I assume that nobody sued Noseweek for publishing the article? The other way of avoiding weasels is to say Noseweek stated:- but again, without seeing the actual article in full, we can't do that. We therefore have a choice of deciding it is not a WP:RS and deleting the information relying on it, or opening a talk-page discussion for 10-14 days, to see if there are any better sources - Arjayay (talk) 13:56, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
I think a talk page discussion is perhaps the way to go, I'll initiate it. many thanks Wayne Jayes (talk) 14:30, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

Because of your great work on keeping the Marwat article on track, I thought you might be able to help with an issue on a different article, on Georges Lemaître. The problem concerns Wikipedia guidelines on secondary sources. The article has had, what I believe to be, incorrect information added to it from a National Geographic article written on 2001. National Geographic is of course a reliable secondary source. However, other articles such as Encyclopedia Britannica contradict it and one, from The Tablet in 2014, directly state that the National Geographic article was wrong. My argument for dismissing the National Geographic article is expressed in Talk:Georges Lemaître. What should I do to resolve the problem? Any help with this will be greatly appreciated. Pjposullivan (talk) 15:24, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
Hi Pjposullivan - I'm not sure my edits on Indian Castes and tribes are particularly relevant to Jesuit, or non-Jesuit, priests - but I can see a vague connection (!) Firstly, can I remind you of the 3RR rule - although correcting vandalism is the exception to 3RR, you admit "what I believe to be, incorrect information" so it seems you are not 100% sure. From the sources you have cited, I think you are right, although I don't know if other sources will surface. I can understand someone arguing that National Geographic is a reliable source, however, although National Geographic is a good source for geography and certain sciences, I am sure The Tablet is a better source for the divisions (castes and tribes?) of the Catholic Church. In extreme cases of discrepancies, where "the truth" cannot be ascertained, we do occasionally write sources A + B state X, but sources C + D state Y, but I don't think this is really required in this article. I have put the article on my watchlist and will weigh-in if the edit warring continues, but suggest you avoid any further reverts in the next 24 hours. - Arjayay (talk) 17:25, 8 April 2015 (UTC)

Please keep an eye on this page, it is constantly being vandalized with false information by unregistered users, I would personally recommend an edit lock for unregistered users. I know at least for a fact that SD Knight Unicorn Gundam is not part of the SGDF brand, but a separate character who traverses the various SD Gundam timelines or something like that and is apparently originally from the main SD Gundam Gaiden/Knight Gundam timeline, as part of a Data Cardass arcade game. http://gundam.wikia.com/wiki/Knight_Unicorn_Gundamhttp://bonkurasu.animeblogger.net/2013/11/19/bb-knight-unicorn-look/ (talk) 22:36, 9 April 2015 (UTC)

Auwain (talk) 09:02, 13 May 2015 (UTC)
Auwain thanks for your post (but please put new posts at the bottom) Uploading photos can be complicated - depending on their copyright status. There are several guides/help pages including User:Yunshui/Images for beginners and Help:Introduction to uploading images/1. As Julian Gaertner is still alive, we cannot use a copyright picture under a claim of WP:Fair use we need to have a copyright-free picture. Ideally this should be one you took yourself, as, if the photo was taken by someone else, arranging for the copyright holder to release their copyright, assuming they are willing to do this, is complicated. If you have such a photo, please upload it to Wikipedia Commons using this link to their upload wizard. Pictures uploaded to Wikipedia Commons can be used in all Wikipedia projects, and you do not need an Autoconfirmed account - any user can do this. Arjayay (talk) 10:36, 13 May 2015 (UTC)

NOTE: IT TAKES TWO TO BE INVOLVED IN AN EDIT WAR, THE SAME WARNING APPLIES TO YOUR SPAMMING THIS ARTICLE WITH REPEATED REVERSIONS!
Your recent editing history at List of drummers shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you get reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.- Arjayay (talk) 17:12, 16 May 2015 (UTC)Pdecalculus (talk) 22:59, 16 May 2015 (UTC)
Pdecalculus My issuing of a 3RR warning was to try and stop you breaking a rule which you may not be aware of. Perhaps you should also consider how many times you added this material (4 times) compared to my deletions (twice) - have a nice day - Arjayay (talk) 14:51, 17 May 2015 (UTC)
I always welcome education, but when your reasoning said that I was psychotic (ie don't know the difference between reality and fiction) I just thought it was a little discourteous, or at least not quite accurate. I would have preferred you educate me on the talk page of the article, which is where I asked about two other potential names, since I'd much rather be educated than just reverted. I teach and coach drums and have many of Reilly's videos as examples, but am totally willing to defer to any more knowledgeable editor who understands notability far better than I, such as yourself, just want to make sure 1. It is reasoned and discussed, not just an off hand revert and 2. Is factual (a. he is not just a vocalist --I provided a link-- and is certainly as much a musician today as an actor). That said, folks like you who are the conscience of wiki do add a valuable watchdog feature for the many garage bands who want to self promote. I have no relationship to this actor/musician, just trying to make wiki more complete, as this article was on the "improve by adding" list under the percussion project, thanks. Pdecalculus (talk) 16:11, 17 May 2015 (UTC)
Pdecalculus - I most certainly did not call you psychotic, but we have a lot of readers/editors who struggle with the difference between playing a role in a film and reality. You are quite correct that the List of drummers, (like the List of guitarists, List of bass guitarists and others) is subject to far too many people trying to self-promote, or more frequently be promoted by their fans, and include people who may only have played an instrument on one track. These wide-ranging lists (List of guitarists plus List of bass guitarists, List of contemporary classical double bass players, List of jazz bassists, List of drummers} were all nominated for deletion here and only scraped through on a "no consensus" decision, not a clear "keep". The common problem with all such lists, is that, with no clear definition of "notable", the really notable people become totally swamped by a sea of "also-rans", making the list rather pointless. With regard to John C. Reilly, although his article refers to his music in six (very short) paragraphs, there is no mention of drums, or drumming in his article whatsoever. A reader coming across his name in the List of drummers may click the link, but finding no mention of drumming in his article, would be confused, or assume a mistake. If you think he deserves to be in the List of drummers, then his article needs to explain why - the link you provided in an edit summary would be a good start for expanding his article, so the raison d'être for his inclusion can easily be found and understood. If his article is expanded to include this aspect, I would not object to his retention. - Arjayay (talk) 17:17, 17 May 2015 (UTC)
Great suggestions. I avoided editing his article with the drum references because it seemed self serving just like the garage drummers who do the article just to get on the list! With your encouragement I'll do it, I tweeted him and got a bunch of drum links, videos, references etc. It IS work to separate the wheat from the chaff of all these lists as you mentioned, but I find the effort is often worth it for research. Saraiki is an indo aryan language and being spoken in southern parts of Pakistan. Please find below links as citation , i can provide further details as well. There is PHD level education offerred in saraiki language in Bahauddin zakriya university Multan. looking forward a positive response..
I have copied your request to Talk:Saraiki dialect as you need to obtain consensus for such a change. There have been several discussions on this previously, primarily now stored in Talk:Saraiki dialect/Archive 2, where the consensus was for dialect, not language. Any decision can be revisited, but the consensus for change needs to be clear, and the article cannot be changed to Saraiki as that is a disambiguation page. Please continue this discussion at Talk:Saraiki dialect#Saraiki is a language - Thanks - Arjayay (talk) 09:48, 26 May 2015 (UTC)

Hi User:Nurulhuda859 Firstly, please sign your posts on Talk pages with 4 tildes ( ~~~~ ) which leaves your name and the time of your post. Footnotes are the references within an article to a reliable source which gives a little blue number at the right place in the text, like this [1] Whereas the reference actually appears at the bottom of the page in the references section, like this.
The official guidance is at Wikipedia:Citing sources but the best guide for beginners is Help:Referencing for beginners. Hi User:Nurulhuda859 Firstly, as I asked you in User talk:Arjayay#Question above, please sign your posts on Talk pages with 4 tildes ( ~~~~ ) which leaves your name and the time of your post. Secondly, do NOT delete, or reword questions and answers on other peoples, or article, talk pages; they are a record of conversations and will be archived when the page gets too full. To answer your question; you cannot get rid of the COI template, as you have a clear COI, and you are the principal editor. Maybe, in a few years time, when the article has had numerous edits by editors totally unconnected to the school, this can be reconsidered, but until then, it stays. You have already been warned six times about removing templates - removing the warnings from your page does not remove them from the page history - and are likely to be blocked if you remove any more. - Arjayay (talk) 07:31, 11 June 2015 (UTC)

It seems, however, that inclusion of names on the page is subject to some discussion, suggestions need consensus, and this is an area I am unfamiliar with, so would not add a name myself. It seems the page follows the usual rule of notability, that people need to have an article on the English Wikipedia in order to be included I have taken the liberty of adding wikilinks to your suggestions, above, which shows that all but one of your names has an article. Hello Arjayay! I have a interest in Indian cinema and while surfing on internet I happened to find a website which gives quite good info(crew, plot, budget, box office etc) about movies especially upcoming Bollywood movies, here is the link (http://www.bfwa.in/) its sort of IMDB thing but about bollywood, I find nothing in the website that might undermine Wikipedia Integrity rather it helps new readers like me to understand more about the movie, so I placed this link in to movie page ABCD 2 and couple of others (which you can see from my contributions), but they were reverted by user:IndianBio, he gave me 3rd level warning straightaway and in the very next minute a final warning here despite I didn't make any edit in between those warnings, when I asked him on his talk page, he gave the most absurd reason that I own the website so I am putting the link here offcourse I don't own it you can check. But when I asked him he didn't bother to reply first, I waited and then reinserted, he again reverted and threatened me to block. Kindly help me out here to understand, the website contains no malicious data not promotional, it is simply info about the movie, He is being very bully. I look forward to contribute to Wikipedia but behavior like his may force me to think otherwise. I didn't want to indulge in edit warring with him so I thought I may consult someone else. Looking forward to your response. Angelgirl1992 (talk) 14:28, 15 June 2015 (UTC)
Hi Angelgirl1992 - Thanks for your post - although I'm not sure why you picked on me. I know nothing about BWFA, but if, as you say, it is like IMDB, that is the first problem - IMDB is not considered a reliable source, please see WP:RS/IMDB and I have no idea how reliable BWFA is. We also have a policy WP:ELNO also referred to by user:IndianBio and like to limit the number of External Links - and only use notable sources, but unlike IMDB, BWFA does not appear to have a Wikipedia article of its own, so does not appear to be notable. I do not know if you have any connection to BWFA, but your editing pattern is unusual in that, until 14 June, you had a mixed set of edits, but suddenly started to add that site to numerous articles. Furthermore, editors with only 41 edits rarely understand Wikipedia as you appear to - dealing with 4 dead-end templates and some red-links on your first day, and knowing about warning template levels. I note user:IndianBio also referred to Copyvios on that site - I am not sure why, as I can't see anything immediately obvious, but some sites show different content depending where the reader is (I am in the UK). More questions than answers, I am afraid, but perhaps user:IndianBio would care to comment? - Arjayay (talk) 18:23, 15 June 2015 (UTC)
Hello Arjayay, I came for some answers but it seems I would continue to be grilled since I am a newbie, anyways I would try to answer your concerns, when I said its like IMDB I meant info wise, I didn't used that link as a source for any statement, but similarly like IMDB gives info about the movie same does this link, actually more. WP:ELNO I don't know exactly what that is, but if the info is valid, should there be a concern about number of external links? which by the way in the articles that I edited are not more than 3 and in some less. Regarding my edit pattern, I don't know what is that suppose to do with the link and info in that link, if I think I can do something good by editing any article I will do, by numerous article you mean 5 right? and once again I have no connection with that website, how can I prove that? is there a oath that I can take to pacify these assumptions or I have to swear on something? I edited the article about cent accounts does that mean I own them?. regarding my understanding of warning levels, if someone wrongly accuse me of something and give final warning when I don't know what my mistake is then its my right to know and study why suddenly I am being threatened to be blocked when I didn't vandalize Wikipedia and did all in good faith. Regarding copyvisio I don't know why he thinks that like wise I don't know why he is destined to block me and why he thinks I am the owner of that website. Why I contacted you because your user page is full of awards and also it says that you have made more than 75000 edit and among active wikipedian so I thought you would better guide me.
Let me again ask you. irrespective of what user:IndianBio say, don't you think the link has valid related info about the film? and Is there anything spammy about it? I would appreciate if you can recommend any other user who is an expert on this issue and certainly not user:IndianBio who has made it a matter of his ego because I pointed out his mistake regarding give me warnings. thankyou —Preceding unsigned comment added by Angelgirl1992 (talk • contribs) 19:15, 15 June 2015 (UTC)

Here shows「1993--present」 while Chinese Wikipedia shows「1998至今」(1998--present).Which is right?--Mr.Sun Yat-sen (talk) 03:04, 7 July 2015 (UTC)
Hi Mr.Sun Yat-sen The article states:- "Her first role was "Little Girl" in Royal Celebration, a 1993 TV film. A year later, she had a small role in the film A Village Affair. She later starred in 1995's Innocent Lies and 1998's Coming Home." So 1993 looks right to me, even if you only count starring roles in movies, it would be 1995 not 1998. - Arjayay (talk) 07:19, 7 July 2015 (UTC)
I see.I'll change the information in Chinese Wikipedia.By the way,Chinese Baidu Encyclopedia think she graduated from Esther College, but I didn't find so called fuckingEsther College,is it Esher College?Or,she never made anyone know where she graduated? Thanks a lot!--Mr.Sun Yat-sen (talk) 10:56, 7 July 2015 (UTC)
Can you answer my second question:where did she graduated?I waited for over half a month.--Mr.Sun Yat-sen (talk) 11:50, 26 July 2015 (UTC)
I have no idea, and I don't answer questions with unneccessary obscenities in them. - Arjayay (talk) 11:53, 26 July 2015 (UTC)
Thank you all the same.I'm sorry for disturbing you.And maybe I'll change the page again.--Mr.Sun Yat-sen (talk) 14:03, 27 July 2015 (UTC)
On this diff [], why bring up NPOV? 81.141.246.36 (talk) 13:25, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
Basically, because that is a standard template Pages are usually semi-protected, because there has been a history of PoV editing, be that for, or against, the subject. Reminding editors of the requirement for a neutral point of view is a (probably fruitless) attempt to avoid the page being re-protected. - Arjayay (talk) 15:20, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
The Anti-Vandalism Barnstar
You are an active anti-vandalism Wikipedian. Hope you continue to protect wiki pages like this. Vin09 (talk) 18:30, 15 July 2015 (UTC)
Hi Vin09 It looks like you've already done it, and that someone tried to change the internal title before your additions. IMHO it should stay as Andhra Pradesh Express until 14 November, and then be moved - but I suspect someone will try to move it before then - I've added it to my watchlist. - Arjayay (talk) 16:41, 16 July 2015 (UTC)
On closer inspection, I see there is already an article called Telangana Express, covering a different route - what are Indian railways going to rename that as? - Arjayay (talk) 17:02, 16 July 2015 (UTC)
AP Express -> Telangana Express and present Telangana Express route is Sirpur-Kagaznagar to Secunderabad. It will be named as Sirpur-Kagaznagar Express as per older newspaper article references.--Vin09 (talk) 17:10, 16 July 2015 (UTC)
New train from Visakhapatnam -> New Delhi will be AP Express of Andhra Pradesh.--Vin09 (talk) 17:11, 16 July 2015 (UTC)
Vin09 - sorry I am on a poor connection at the moment. I will have a look tomorrrow, but these templates use a code I am not familiar with - Arjayay (talk) 19:00, 25 July 2015 (UTC)
Vin09 - I'm not sure exactly what you wanted, so I am not sure if you have now done what you wanted. You seem to understand these templates better than me in any case - sorry. - Arjayay (talk) 14:49, 26 July 2015 (UTC)
That's ok. Fine.--Vin09 (talk) 14:52, 26 July 2015 (UTC)
