Hey Ameer. Thanks. I had a draft I was working on before I left, and yesterday I found it and felt like working on it. Thanks for adding the photos. I hope you've been well. Yazan (talk) 07:54, 4 January 2012 (UTC)

Hi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

I have suggested on the AfD regarding the Azzam Pasha quote that the article be merged with Azzam Pasha and have already moved most of the material to that article. Please note your opinion on a suggested merge at the AfD.--The Devil's Advocate (talk) 16:42, 10 January 2012 (UTC)
On 12 January 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Husayn Pasha, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that under the prosperous and benign rule of Husayn Pasha, the city of Gaza was regarded as the capital of Palestine? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Husayn Pasha. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |
Hey there. Sorry I have been super busy as well (Work, Life, ETC). Anyways, Yeah, Hossam is personal friend of mine so if you need any info on him, it wont be a problem. I started a expansion but due to life, I never got it finish it nor work on it. You can work on it and let me know if you need any help. Also let know before you merge them. -- The Egyptian Liberal (talk) 22:47, 22 December 2011 (UTC)
Template:Did_you_know/Queue as of 10:04, 23 January 2012 (UTC) has queues 2, 3, 4 scheduled for 25 January and at the moment they are empty. However, there are 3 preparation areas which are already done, waiting to be promoted into the queue. According to the guideline at Template_talk:Did_you_know#Special_occasion_holding_area, special occasion DYK's should be filed in the ordinary section under the created/expanded date, and also "between five days and six weeks before the occasion, to give reviewers time to check the nomination". So in principle, it's too late, but technically, it's still possible if the DYK posting is done fast, if someone is willing to review it fast, and if an admin is willing to put it in the queue fast because of the date. Since i've contributed to the Hossam article, i can't be a reviewer (Wikipedia:Did_you_know: "Use common sense here, and please avoid even the appearance of conflict of interest.") And i'm not an admin, so i can't promote to the queue. Somehow you would need to alert possible reviewers and admins and see if they are willing to act fairly fast, asking very politely. Given the worldwide interest in the topic, they might be willing. Boud (talk) 10:04, 23 January 2012 (UTC)

Marhaba Ameer! I hope you're well. I finished expanding two articles I was working on, Amrit and 1936 Syrian general strike. I would appreciate if you could go through them and see if they need some copyediting. Also, is it possible to move Old City of Aleppo to Ancient City of Aleppo over redirect. The latter is the official name for it under the UNESCO World Heritage listing. Thank you ya Ameer! ;) Cheers. Yazan (talk) 14:55, 22 January 2012 (UTC)

Dear Al Ameer son,
I have improved my user page using almost the same style you use for yours, I hope that's fine with you. Also, I'm having a small problem with userboxe's - any help is useful. Bahraini Activist Talk to me 19:02, 29 January 2012 (UTC)
Dear Al Ameer son, Thank you for your note. Rewrote that paragraph and included a reference. Contact me if you need anything else. Cheers. 7&6=thirteen (☎) 23:26, 31 January 2012 (UTC)
I'm inviting you to mediate the following discussion taking place on Talk:Anti-Defamation League. The debate is about properly sourced material being removed under different charges. All material had as references reliable sources. These are the edits arousing controversy: Arguments from both sides have been laid out on the Talk Page, and no consensus has emerged. Please, weigh in on the discussion. Guinsberg (talk) 22:11, 1 February 2012 (UTC)
