Hi, Boricuaeddie, and thanks for your participation in my RfA. I've withdrawn it, and will be writing up an "analysis" of it, which will soon be available at User:Giggy/RfA/Giggy when it's done. Please come around when you get the chance, and give me feedback on how I can improve. And a special thanks for all your kindness in everything :) Thanks again, Giggy UCP 04:00, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

I see that you nominated your self for adminship. I have !voted, and I wish you luck! Politics rule 17:31, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
I came accross this after I read your passage about how it was wrong to boast about achievements. It comes from the Popes first Christmas address 2005 and the purpose of servants in Gods plan of things. I think it also says a lot about the role of admins in our community. Anyway good luck and hope it helps.
35. This proper way of serving others also leads to humility. The one who serves does not consider himself superior to the one served, however miserable his situation at the moment may be. Christ took the lowest place in the world—the Cross—and by this radical humility he redeemed us and constantly comes to our aid. Those who are in a position to help others will realize that in doing so they themselves receive help; being able to help others is no merit or achievement of their own. This duty is a grace. The more we do for others, the more we understand and can appropriate the words of Christ: “We are useless servants” (Lk 17:10). We recognize that we are not acting on the basis of any superiority or greater personal efficiency, but because the Lord has graciously enabled us to do so. There are times when the burden of need and our own limitations might tempt us to become discouraged. But precisely then we are helped by the knowledge that, in the end, we are only instruments in the Lord's hands; and this knowledge frees us from the presumption of thinking that we alone are personally responsible for building a better world. In all humility we will do what we can, and in all humility we will entrust the rest to the Lord. It is God who governs the world, not we. We offer him our service only to the extent that we can, and for as long as he grants us the strength. To do all we can with what strength we have, however, is the task which keeps the good servant of Jesus Christ always at work: “The love of Christ urges us on” (2 Cor 5:14). Deus Caritas Est
Hi Eddie. I've commented at your RFA. Please don't take my comments harshly. As you know, I research all RFA candidates pretty thoroughly, and speak honestly so that my contributions may hopefuly further this project as a whole. Sometimes that makes it hard, when one has had positive personal interaction with candidates, but honesty to my feelings is a guideline for me. Best Wishes, and I hope you make it - be ready for a horrible week of checking! I know !! Pedro | Chat 20:12, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
Hello. Thank you for creating Ilustrado. Unfortunately, I have tagged the first sentence of the article with {{fact}} because the Spanish word for "enlightened one" is not ilustrado; it's iluminado. If you can find any references to prove that I'm wrong, then add them to the article and remove the template. Thank you. --Boricuaeddie 02:02, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the kind words about Silver mining in Arizona. It's kind of a work in progress right now. Give me a week or so to add to it.Plazak 22:46, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
If I had known, I would have written a better article to begin with. As I note in the intro, about 90% of the silver mined in Arizona was produced as byproduct, mostly from copper mining; so 44 million troy ounces is a gross understatement of silver production. It would be accurate to say that Tombstone produced 32 million troy ounces, or that silver was first discovered in Arizona in 1538.Plazak 05:13, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
The Did You Know... blurb looks good. Thanks for taking an interest.Plazak 02:26, 3 August 2007 (UTC)

Sorry to see that you withdrew you RfA. Age shoild never be a problem on RfA and its unfortunate that another editor has been caught up in the argument. Perhaps the biggest thing against you is that you left the "Retirement" notice on your userspace for a week and were still involved with the project, otherwise I just can't understand the field turned so quickly . 4000+ edits is no joke and nobody can say that you are not committed. Don't lose faith, if Wikipedia has lost a great potential sysop, you have a few months to prove them how and you will sail your next RfA. Good Luck Mike33 - t@lk 19:05, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
What I am doing is putting each U.S Senator on my page, and when I change it, I put it in *User:Politics rule/U.S Senators, so people can get to know about the u.S elected officals. If you can do that, then I would appricate it. Politics rule 20:15, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
Hey, per your statement on RfA, I believe you misunderstood me. I believe XfD's are the best way of gathering consensus, however how I interpret consensus is different to almost all other users, that is why I avoid voting on them, and why I will avoid closing them. Could you please reconsider/consider reconsidering your vote? Matt/TheFearow (Talk) (Contribs) (Bot) 22:38, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
I misunderstood some things - I have now re-answered the approriate question (Q4), and changed my stance on consensus. Could you please re-consider/re-comment on your comment? Matt/TheFearow (Talk) (Contribs) (Bot) 23:08, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
My reasoning behind the nomination was that the article for non-canonical spells had gone to AfD and been deleted and many of the issues brought up in the debate are shared with the cannonical spells article. Felt it was better to establish a consensus now and get it out of the way rather than have editors work on an article which could well end up being deleted. Of course I could well be completely wrong and there wll be no issues, the article will survive and no harm will be done. I personally think that "Spells" might fall into a catagory of good articles where the policy guidelines may be somewhat lacking. [[Guest9999 02:25, 3 August 2007 (UTC)]]

Ok, I just finished the referencing part of Ramón Emeterio Betances and did some other tweaks. -凶 00:26, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

It amazes me that there are administrators who continue to defend and/or commiserate with Nick. His MO is to threaten to block first, provide (tenuous or false) justifications second, and discuss rationally third if ever. (After third, and sometimes before, comes his insistence that the matter is over and be dropped.) The pattern seems to repeat quite a bit, and I wonder if it's not the reason for his having wiped his User page and Talk page and deleted their histories not too long ago. He claims support to the contrary, but from my observations and experiences, Nick is not administrator material. Robert K S 01:08, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

When you receive email granting permission for use of copyrighted media, don't insert it into the description page. It must be forwarded to permissions-en AT wikimedia DOT org. See WP:COPYREQ#When permission is confirmed.
And please don't be so fixated on {{attribution}}. When asking for a license, you're better off asking for the GFDL. Not only is it the Wikipedia standard, but it has a number of advantages a copyright owner might find attractive. TCC (talk) (contribs) 06:56, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

Once again, way too many pages on wiki need to be deleted, while way too many need to be created a.s.a.p. All you have to do is an Internet search on Yahoo on each of the aforementioned names in quotations. (Eg. "William Ludel"). I hope that Wiki can be a much better source of info for all who seek knowledge. Thanks! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.51.243.50 (talk • contribs).

Hello. I noticed that you uploaded Image:Blitzweinhardbrewery.jpg to the Commons, but the version you uploaded is not a bit-for-bit copy (it's compressed). I think this may be because you did not upload the full resolution version. Usually it's best to upload the fullsize version to Commons - otherwise the bots get angry :) --- RockMFR 03:26, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
Some information of which you might not be aware.
http://www.gothicchess.com/nalls.html
That person has long since engaged in repeated attacks against me, the game of Gothic Chess, and my patent. This is the reason I consider him an adverse candidate and a person that should be prohibitted from posting material to the Gothic Chess article.
GothicChessInventor 20:42, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
Nobody can be prevented from editing articles, unless they are actually and deliberately vandalizing it. Unless you have proof that he is constantly vandalizing the article, he can continue to edit the article freely. This is a wiki; get used to it. --Boricuaeddie 21:21, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
I understand this. I was just giving you some background information.
GothicChessInventor 21:35, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
Hi. I would like to thank you for your advice and participation in my RFA which I have decided to withdraw as I lack overall experience at present. Thanks Tbo 157talk 21:47, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
Of course I know that, but it is a policy I adopted from Acalamari. As to writing articles, I know what you mean. By the way, next time you want try for a nom, give me a email, 'kay. --Tλε Rαnδom Eδιτor (tαlk) 23:06, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
Hi,
I see you're experiencing frustration with User:GothicChessInventor; don't worry, you're not the first! My advice is not to feed the troll. Just quietly clear up any mess he causes; my guess is he'll edit himself into a block soon enough, as he's already on a final warning for talk page vandalism.
Oli Filth 13:26, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
Hi Boricuaeddie, I was wondering if you could help me with cleaning up part of my RfA as you seem extremely active on those pages. A user with whom I went through dispute mediation and have had general disputes with has added 4 additional questions. I don't mind answering legitimate questions but the problem is, these aren't really in a suitable format or wording to actually be answered, as they portray me as a poor editor before I've even answered them. For example the user has [SIC] tagged comments I've made, which is fairly incivil especially for talk page comments. The user in question recently recieved an 8 hour block for edit warring on this matter. I don't mind answering legitimate questions by users who are genuinely interested in the answers, but these don't meet that criteria as I think you'll see. Equally, I'm happy to explain any of my edits thoroughly, but the format hes asking me to do that in doesn't give me much room. So, I don't want to remove his questions as I'm not trying to hide anything, I'm not ashamed of any edits I've made and I stand by my good conduct and contributions. I was wondering if you would review his questions, and if you agree with me that they are incivil, and detrimentally worded, remove them from the RfA. I will then (or if you'd like to you can) leave a message on his talk page offering to answer a single, simpler, more direct question that can actually recieve a proper answer. For example he's accusing me of having a meat puppet? its literally the first I've ever heard of it and if hes going to make allegations like that we need to see some proof. Thanks for your time, help and +support ;) WikipedianProlific(Talk) 13:50, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
Hi Boricuaeddie, I wanted to explain why I put an {{advert}} tag into the article Lorem Ipsum Books, because yesterday it was rejected as an advertisement. And it does sound like a promotional article, so I added that tag. I hope you don't mind! Ariel♥Gold 14:20, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

Hey Eddie, since Peer review was a horendous failure I discussed the situation with Marcos and we decided to nominate Héctor Lavoe and Ramón Emeterio Betances directly to the WP:FAC page, I know you are a busy man but since your job is of great quality we would appreciate any ammount of it you can provide, thanks. - Caribbean~H.Q. 04:20, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
Regarding your comment here: Just out of curiosity, you said in your comment "secondly, because it is prohibited by WP:SOCK". In which way as disallowed by WP:SOCK was this account used? —AldeBaer 00:22, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
Your contributions and dedication to the project, plus your people friendly manner are beyond what is expected. It is with great pleasure that I have inducted you into the "Wall of Honor". I am helping a Spanish teacher here at Tec with the Spanish version of Wikipedia. I tried to find your user page there but no luck. What is your username there? You can contact her directly at the Spanish Wiki usuario:Inés marco

Hola Mentors!
Im sending you this reminder because you volunteered to mentor my students in English Advanced B as they become contributing members of the Wikipedia community. We start working with Wikipedia in earnest next week. I ask you to take a look at your entry in the Mentor Table at Wikipedia:School_and_university_projects/ITESM_Campus_Toluca/Mentors
Please update the information, esp. with what your technical and informational expertise is or, if you have decided that you no longer want to participate, please remove your information from the table. Please watch the pages associated with the project. Students will contact you via your user page and as soon as my students have user pages, I will put them on the navigation bar associated with the project.
I don’t need to remind you that your job is NOT to write their assignments for them, of course. I certainly will tell my students that… and the fact that you are volunteers that don’t have to help them… so they need to be nice. If any students misbehave (tho I don’t expect it) don’t hesistate to contact me and I will take care of it. The goal of this project is to integrate successfully into the Wikipedia community. Anyway… what I really need your help with is helping students get oriented to Wikipedia, make appropriate changes and write about appropriate topics (see Wikipedia:School_and_university_projects/ITESM_Campus_Toluca/Syllabus for assignments). I also need your technical expertise… I am only an English teacher after all! I appreciate what technology does for us but I am no technical expert!
Again, thank you for volunteering and you will hear from us again soon! Thelmadatter 19:24, 28 August 2007 (UTC)Thelmadatter
Yeah I know, but I am not very fond of using my monobook, I like doing it the old way, we will need a update when this is over I have assessed about 200 something articles in my opinion but the "J" section is a little long and I'm trimming it down now, see you around. - Caribbean~H.Q. 21:42, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
Hi, not sure this meets the criteria for Wikipedia:Speedy keep. The AfD was probable listed in good faith and has not been withdrawn by the nominator. Cheers, :) Dlohcierekim 00:42, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
By SNOWBALL, do you mean in the light of the many prior SPACE COLOLINZATION AfD's that resulted in keeps, or do you mean by the appearances of the current discussion? Cheers, :) Dlohcierekim 01:24, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
Cheers, :) Dlohcierekim has smiled at you! Smiles promote WikiLove and hopefully this one has made your day better. Spread the WikiLove by smiling at someone else, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend. Happy editing!
Smile at others by adding {{subst:Smile}} to their talk page with a friendly message.

About Puerto Ricans in NASA. It seems to me that these guys who oppose have a little gang that gets it "kicks" from deletions, see: . They do not contribute anyting positive such as articles, to Wikipedia, but enjoy destroying what others have gone through a lot of trouble creating. If the article gets deleted then, I will wirte bios about the more notable Boricuas in NASA. Cheers! Tony the Marine 07:23, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
i'm wondering if you could finish the tagging of the rugby league (state of origin) task. It would be very much appreciated! SpecialWindler talk 10:24, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
Thank you for your constructive criticism on my RFA. I have now withdrawn at (8/7/1). Just so I know, what would make you satisfied of my mainspace work and talk page work? How to see ya around. -FlubecaTalk 17:54, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
Hello,
During that MFD war I was just trying to follow Wikipedia:Talk_page#Formatting. I didn't mean to strongly polarize the discussion etc. Now could we just forget about it?--Pheonix15 19:11, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
Thanks man. Your user page is cool. The firefox thing is really funny. -Tobi4242 22:33, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
Is this article i wrote a few months ago a good start? How can I improve it? link-FlubecaTalk 23:59, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
Borré el comentario porque ya le había respondido. --Pasajero 00:15, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
That's nothing yet. I'm going to write about the rest of the Boricuas in NASA. Those deletionist idiots said that they were less-then-notable, yeah right. If the Puerto Ricans in NASA is saved, we can work it into a featured list. Tony the Marine 00:36, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
Hello! Yes, you do live in the region of Middle America, according to some sources. Actually, it's not that weird an edit. 'Middle America' does have a number of senses, but one is of a region comprising Mexico, the countries of Central America, and the Caribbean. There you go. Corticopia 00:57, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
I respectfully appeal the deletion of the WELI article. I believe it is similar in format to other CT radio station articles and complies with NPOV and non-promotional guidelines. Perhaps the agenda of the station's morning host is controversial. That does not mean it does not exist or is not newsworthy. Given the stated interests of the editor, I think his POV may have influenced the decision. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.14.84.60 (talk) 14:50, August 26, 2007 (UTC)
Hi Eddie, I was considering of creating a bot, but I absolutely don't have any knowledge programming using AWB. Can you give me some hints? Thanks for your time! --Hirohisat Kiwi 05:39, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
First, you left a threat on my talk page without just provocation- a single edit conflict. I told you not to ever do this again. Then, I politely answered your question.
Second, you left another threat on my talk page without provocation and failed to respond to my answer at all.
You obviously have bad manners, no real interest in the issues underlying an edit conflict and insufficient grasp of English. Please stay out of my life on Wikipedia.
--BenWillard —Preceding unsigned comment added by BenWillard (talk • contribs) 12:01, August 30, 2007 (UTC)
Third, you left another threat on my talk page without provocation. How many times do I have to ask you to just leave me alone? I don't even know what issue these threats pertain to since we are not currently debating anything. I have not done anything to you. I just strongly desire for threats and obscenities to be kept off my personal talk page. Please respect my wishes for my talk page? You are welcome to read my message at Samboy-talk page-section "lectures on bad manners" to review my way of thinking and my interpretation of Wikipedia policy involving personal talk pages but do not threaten me again.

Check it out the system is identifying your monobooks as a unassessed articles, well anyways I guess by now they can be moved out of it until its needed again.- Caribbean~H.Q. 20:12, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
Doesn't stink that that Sexy Australian left, just kidding. Anyway, kinda sad he is gone. --Tλε Rαnδom Eδιτor (tαlk) 20:18, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
To customize a notice just pull it in by adding subst: like this: {{subst:Editor review}}, and then save. The wikicode will then be in your source text, and you can edit it directly without affecting the template. I hope you find that tip useful. The Transhumanist 20:46, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

I'm not that smart. Sorry about that. I am also looking at doing a editor review. But have no clue to set one up. What do I do. Politics rule 22:51, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
For whatever reason, your version was displaying as a blank page, so I reverted it as a apparent mistake. Can't imagine what went wrong—apologies, anyway. Deltabeignet 02:28, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
