Hello!
I did graduate studies in political science, doing research on open governance, the politics of time, war and militarism, and Korean state formation. Previously, I studied International Studies and Fundamentals: Issues & Texts (a quirky great books-ish program at the University of Chicago). My undergraduate research drew from epistemology, pragmatism, ethics, anthropology, and critical media and gender studies. Beyond school walls, I learn the most from imperfect people who care to care.
You'll probably see me edit all over the map.
- Power is part and parcel of what we know, and by extension, of what we think and do. Sympathy goes a long way in helping more people share what they know.
- Virtual spaces never exist apart from the "real" world. This is why they're important.
- Simple, clear words are the best tools. I am learning to escape academic jargon.
- 도토리 ("dotori") is the Korean word for acorn.
- I live in Toronto and am always down for a beer!
