Sacombank was founded in December 21, 1991 by Dang Van Thanh. Dang Van Thanh was chairman and CEO of Sacombank until November 2, 2012, where the position of chairman was transferred to Pham Huu Phu and he was chairman until 2017. Currently, the chairman is Duong Cong Minh
