These reverts got very confusing, I reverted the IP's spam addition but my future reverts were re-adding (inadvertently) another possible spam site he was removing. Zarcadia (talk) 17:10, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
Yes well, you've apologized to the IP, I'm sure he's accepting and the edit is undone. No damage at all. That Ole' Cheesy Dude (Talk to the hand!) 17:14, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
I can see that you're on the ramparts again this evening (presumably morning your time). Thanks for the help and enjoy your day. MarmadukePercy (talk) 01:41, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
Well, thanks very much. It's so rare to get a thanks just for doing the menial tasks on the 'pedia, so it means all the more. Fab evening to you. That Ole Cheesy Dude(Talk to the hand!) 02:02, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
You're welcome, and thanks for the assist. Wikipedia is like most places in this world: one hears when one errs, but not when one holds the fort or does something exceptional. The encyclopedia survives thanks to the efforts of folks like yourself. Have a good day. MarmadukePercy (talk) 03:09, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
Thank you
Thanks for reverting the vandalism to my talk page earlier. Now only if I had a bar of soap...:) Take care. Kindly CalmerWaters 03:36, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
Ditto (about the soap)! Thanks, mate, for your vigilance and reverting the vandalism on my "User" page. – IVAN3MAN (talk) 04:20, 22 June 2011 (UTC)
And thank you from me too! --Tryptofish (talk) 13:41, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for letting me know - and sorry for the late reply! I added the warning message about 9 hours ago, but didn't send you a message to let you know. The reason I forgot to add the message was because I typically use a script that will block a user and add a warning message. However, because I had to change the block that John Reaves made, I forgot about adding a block message.
Please be more careful in your use of the rollback tool. You reverted a user who blanked a page they were the sole author of. That is considered a good faith request for speedy deletion; not vandalism.--v/r - TP 16:59, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
I know, I realized my mistake immediately and was about to revert it, but User:Crusio got there before me. I've already removed the warning I put on the user's page. That Ole Cheesy Dude(Talk to the hand!) 17:01, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
Great thanks. I didn't notice the warning. I honestly only mention it because I saw a lot of it yesterday for a few other users.--v/r - TP 17:06, 24 June 2011 (UTC)

The hypocrisy of Administrators
There is no community here. This is a community of fakes who determine who can join this fake community. No matter how stupid and unreliably source an article as long as you are a member of this fake community, these fake administrators ie. Noq, Edward whatever his name is, James watson and their ilk will protect your stupid article that has no place in an encyclopedia. In future refrain from addressing me and speak when you are spoken to. Tamsier (talk) 00:47, 25 June 2011 (UTC)
If Wikipedians only spoke when spoken to I'm afraid there would be no community. No-one would ever initiate a conversation because they were not spoken to. Rather than belligerently attacking the community (and other editors for that matter), why not take the more peaceful method and try to work with the other users who will be more than welcome to do just that with you. You'll find that your stay here is far more relaxing (and beneficial) if you don't go out on rampages, trying to defile another editor's communal worth. Please try to keep any personal remarks you have for other editors to yourself and if you have any suggestions on how to improve the community as a whole, please don't hesitate to tell someone your thoughts. Thank you. That Ole Cheesy Dude(Talk to the hand!) 00:56, 25 June 2011 (UTC)
Tamsier, you need to dial it down a notch. Everyone is welcome to contribute but only if you contribute according to guidelines and policies. Those guidelines and policies are not determined by administrators, they are determined by consensus among all participating editors, admin or otherwise.. So again, you are welcome to participate but please remember to be civil.--RadioFan (talk) 01:09, 25 June 2011 (UTC)
I agree with a complainant that there is a double standard in removing material depending who the contributor is, rational goes that one cop would not castigate another cop. Another shortcoming in wikipidia is that it is developing into a sort of zero tolerance repression akin in our society where young, inexperienced "editors" but those who have already climed the ladder cannot take constructive critisism and issue threats of blockage, by using a kangaroo court system of arbitrage. Founded on a democratic principle of no censorship where anyone can contribute, wikipedia is gradually taking undemocratic shape of it's own where all large and successful organizations eventually evolve to serve the needs of those who run it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tigerjojo98 (talk • contribs) 14:08, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

I'm assuming the comment you made on my talk page was directed at Tamsier, if that's the case, I would appreciate it if you would update the comments to make that a bit clearer. If that's not the case and your comments about ownership were aimed at me, please let me know.--RadioFan (talk) 01:07, 25 June 2011 (UTC)
Yes, it was aimed at Tamsier, I've made it clearer for you. Sorry about the confusion. That Ole Cheesy Dude(Talk to the hand!) 01:08, 25 June 2011 (UTC)
No worries, I figured that was the case. Didn't want the message (its a good one) to be lost on Tamsier.--RadioFan (talk) 01:10, 25 June 2011 (UTC)

I'll see if I can provide some input, but... how come you have two? I thought that wasn't allowed for FLCs? :S That Ole Cheesy Dude(Talk to the hand!) 15:54, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
Additionally, for my FLC, do you consider your comments resolved? If so, could you banner it (like Ramble), so that people know that they can start voting on it? Thanks. That Ole Cheesy Dude(Talk to the hand!) 15:58, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
Thank you for your feedback! I've addressed your comments on the LFV. You can actually have 2 FLCs at once so long as the first one has substantial support. Crystal Clear x3 20:13, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
Could you please also put your resolved comments at the Long Form Video in a banner shell as well? Crystal Clear x3 08:20, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
Retail sales
Presumably you are a retail sales expert for Canada and can redo a Department store page to reflect 2011, and not 1991.Tigerjojo98 (talk) 13:51, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
I don't quite comprehend why I would need to be a Canadian retail sales expert to know that "now there is some other chain store like Sarfe , Diox ,KALA shahr and ... . But in iran especcialy tehran need more chain store." is entirely unencyclopaedic and has no place on Wikipedia. I understand your point, but I think you're speaking to the wrong person, I try to only revert blatant vandalism, like the sort of people who replace large pieces of content with rude words. I am not some imperialist high-and-mighty, hell-bent Wikipedian with an evil plan to have all newbies blocked. I would really have quite liked to help Tamsier, which is why I provided him with advice, but one thing we cannot take on Wikipedia is personal attacks, of which he provided plenty, it does not aid the community. That Ole Cheesy Dude(Talk to the hand!) 14:33, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
Here's something I find important to tell you.
Hello, Thecheesykid. Thank you for this edit that you performed on Shining (Swedish band). I don't know how aware you are of this, but there has been an anonymous user whose IP names almost always are 90.21#.###.###. The person hops IPs and likes to mess with music genre lineups in album, band, and musician infoboxes, like (s)he did to said band page. This person shows up a lot on my watchlist, and has been actively doing this ever since at least January 2009. I issued a sockpuppeting case against this person, but the only reason why it was unsuccessful was because the IP range was too large to block and was said to be "in a range of over a quarter of a million IP addresses", according to the user who commented; I respect that action, and it is a bummer how large the IP range is. Also, this person refuses to communicate his/her thoughts about why the genres should be changed, and (s)he has only come close to that by tampering with invisible messages in the article body; (s)he has almost always refused to introduce sources backing the genre claims. I could go on for much longer about this, but I'm sure you have a fair idea of what I'm talking about by now. Just keep an eye out for any IPs matching these characteristics; dealing with this has been somewhat difficult, and I thought that I needed to make you aware of this, since I saw your edit on that page. Thank you. Backtable Speak to meconcerning my deeds. 00:07, 27 June 2011 (UTC)

Concerning Buckeye, West Virginia
What's the deal. I provided some accurate info about a very small place describing what's there, very little else except Swago Creek, a few houses and trailers, and a recently revived drive in theater open occasionally which is free as is reading books at the book store if you have the time to sit down and read them there. Was the mileage to Greenbrier trail deemed inaccurate, the bookstore's size in question(owner said 35000 books) or the existence of Buckeye Market in question it does sell gas, I bought some there. We can stop the conversation anytime... Don't be afraid. It is gonna take us much longer writing messages here on your board... 78.128.185.9 (talk) 20:56, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
I don't think there's any need for him to talk to you privately. I'm sure he's happy to give you as long as you want to explain things right here. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 20:59, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
Ummm... okaaay, this is weird, feels like you're trying to groom me. Listen, I hardly even speak to my beloved friends on MSN. That's how much I hate social networking sites... but hey, what would you have wanted to talk about, had I the inclination, the time, the trust, etc.? That Ole Cheesy Dude(Talk to the hand!) 21:00, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
Well the IP address traces to Czechoslovakiathe Czech Republic, and an article you reverted him on related to a historical person who was from that part of Europe, so maybe he has some strong opinions about some of these topics. But... all the more reason to keep any discussion right here, in my opinion. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 21:06, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
Yes, I'm really too paranoid to give out my e-mail address. There are so many bad paths it can take and comparatively few good ones. I am most certainly happy to speak of any topic (relevant or interesting enough) right here, but I'll not be providing you with any of my details today. Thanks. That Ole Cheesy Dude(Talk to the hand!) 21:10, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
What are you afraid of? Just want to talk about something. Don't tell me that you only have one email address. ... you can still make one in 3 minutes... as well as FB account or Skype account... As simple as that. :o) 78.128.185.9 (talk) 21:16, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
Could you possibly be more vague? I'm not quite blinded enough by the fog of what it is that you want to talk about. That Ole Cheesy Dude(Talk to the hand!) 21:17, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
About editing... We are just loosing time here. I am not going to kill you... Why are you so suspicious? 78.128.185.9 (talk) 21:20, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
Because you are acting in a manner that is inherently suspicious. Why not just reveal what it is that you want to talk about? Why not write it here? Why do we have to share e-mail addresses to be able to talk, even though right now we are talking about talking on an e-mail account? All of the above questions would have to be answered thoroughly and to my satisfaction before I even begin to think about handing out an e-mail address to a stranger, who could for all I know, be a hacker, or someone ready to spam me links, or plenty of other things... If, as you say, we are indeed losing time, then it is because of your hesitance to speak your mind on this website. Please do so, or leave me be. Thank you. That Ole Cheesy Dude(Talk to the hand!) 21:26, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
Umm, IP address, I've left a note on your talk page about how you can real-time chat about any views you have on Wikipedia articles or reverts or anything. I don't think TheCheesykid actually edits articles relating to the Czech Republic or matters related to that part of Europe, so I don't really understand why you want to talk to him. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 21:24, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
Demiurge1000, can we talk via some real-time chat now? Maybe I'll be lucky enough to convince you that I am a normal person and you will then persuade That Ole Cheesy Dude to talk to me. 78.128.185.9 (talk) 21:34, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
I'm signed in to #wikipedia-en-help and #wikipedia-en right now, so yes I'm very happy to talk to you... but I really don't see what you would explain to me that would encourage me to try to "persuade" TheCheesykid to talk to you privately when he doesn't want to talk to you privately. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 21:37, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
Update and resolution
Hi TheCheesykid, just to let you know that I talked to the IP address privately and things are pretty much as I expected - they wanted to talk about the content of the article Joseph Petzval, the procedures by which it is decided what material should be contained in Wikipedia articles, and some other similar topics relating to articles about Eastern Europe on Wikipedia. For some of it, they wanted privacy for various reasons. I've given them my email address so that they can continue such discussions with me if they need further help and still require privacy.
I imagine they did not realise how their rather unusual requests (above) would be perceived. But I presume they now have no further reason for wanting to contact you privately. You are of course entirely within your rights to decide not to communicate with people off-wiki; and you are right that there are advantages in not doing so.
Thanks for your patience with this. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 22:42, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
Thanks so much for taking matters into your own hands and I will be more than happy to speak with the IP in the future, so long as (s)he does so exclusively on my talk page, because I'm not sure I'm too comfortable with the alternative. Again, thanks. That Ole Cheesy Dude(Talk to the hand!) 22:47, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
AWB
I've noticed you making some edits using AWB that have virtually no visible effect on the pages you edit. Could you please explain how edits like this don't violate WP:AWB rule of use 4? Ucucha 00:34, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
You make a good point, I'll try to refrain from overusing (or underusing, depending on POV) AWB in future. That Ole Cheesy Dude(Talk to the hand!) 00:45, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
Hi Thecheesykid! As you might remember, you helped me on promoting the article Final Destination to good-article status. Even though it took me three months to wait for someone to review the film, you made my patience worthy especially with the fact that it was the first time I entered an article for a good-article nomination. As a sign of gratitude, I want to give you this:

Hi there! I nominated the article for GA by modeling it after other recent GANs (Sanctuary (season 1), Modern Family (season 2) etc). But if you think the article looks FL-worthy, I would be happy to nominate it there! I've never done the FL process before, but would be happy to start.:) Ruby2010comment! 17:16, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
Yes, I've left a message over on their user talk pages too, notifying them that GA isn't really the place for list-class articles. I'm not going to lie, I think the article would receive a lot more scrutiny over at FLC than at GAN, but it stands a great chance. For information on the nomination procedure go to the top of WP:Featured list candidates. Good luck! That Ole Cheesy Dude(Talk to the hand!) 17:25, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
I'll consider bringing it to FL, but for now I'll leave it where it is (as a noob, I don't currently have time to learn and initiate the whole FL nomination procedure). Thanks for bringing it up though! I also believe there should be a universal policy on television episode seasons, but until we build consensus on it, I guess it will have to remain where it is:/ Ruby2010comment! 21:54, 28 June 2011 (UTC)

regarding added content " 2G..." in Article "Subrata Roy"
Since the concerned matter is sub-judice, i.e. pending before court of law, any vexatious or biased comment or accusation causing damage to the image and reputation of an individual in lieu of any court verdict against the said individual, amounts to a criminal offence of Defamation under section 499 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860. Ted Moccia being a douche
Hey there! I'm impressed you found that edit so quickly. In any case, I'd just like to mention that you made a small mistake when you messaged me. My edit was unacceptable, not unconstructive [sic]. You see, while it is totally unacceptable to post that Ted Moccia is a noted douchebag on Wikipedia, it does not change the fact that he is and that it is constructive to bring it up. (Trust me, I went to that school back in the day, and I wasn't even a problem child. Quite the opposite, in fact.) Anyway, the point is moot as I just needed a screenshot, which I got, so I'm good now. Have a nice day!
