Welcome to my userpage.
I live in Orange County, California, and edit under my real name. For Wikipedia, I bring two areas of special interest: motion pictures and the martial arts.
With regard to the former, I attended film school and subsequently produced a dozen feature films for cable-TV headlining star performers such as Christopher Walken, Kiefer Sutherland, Rebecca De Mornay, Dana Delany, Tom Arnold (actor), Robert Forster, Don "The Dragon" Wilson and Cynthia Rothrock. In contrast, for the martial arts, I ran the S.T.A.R. System world ratings for professional kickboxing that were published monthly during the 1980s in up to 15 newsstand magazines throughout the world and were recognized as the official rankings source for both the World Kickboxing Association (WKA) and the Karate International Council of Kickboxing (KICK), two of the three major sanctioning bodies of the day.
Here are links to the STAR System website, to short bios for STAR co-founder John Corcoran and myself, to John’s abridged list of credits and my own list of credits. John Corcoran’s published reference books and my published magazine features are frequently cited on Wikipedia’s martial arts-related entries.
I was personally prodded into becoming a Wikipedian by several of kickboxing and mixed martial arts’ early pioneers – including retired world champions Joe Lewis (martial artist), Don "The Dragon" Wilson, and Maurice Smith – all of whom have separately become alarmed by misinformation circulating the Internet about their sport.
My time is both limited and sporadic, so I am focused on unraveling errors of fact, errors of interpretive misunderstandings, and errors of original research about the early history of the professional martial arts movement and about motion pictures. I also hope to improve ring record information as well as add occasional entries about persons and matters of historic significance to the sport and to film.
Thanks for visiting my userpage.
