Welcome to the Wits Project! This is a personal project of mine (a "Userproject", as I call it) to improve Wikipedia coverage of the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. Here is where I coordinate that. While this is only my personal project, anyone who wishes to help out is (of course) more than welcome.

The Wits Project |
I plan on eventually creating articles on every redlink in the draft navbox below. At the time of writing (30 December 2011, 6:56 AM SAST), with the approach of 2012 just over the horizon, I'm making my one and only New Years' resolution ever. That resolution is that by the end of 2012, I will have created an article for every redlink in the above-mentioned navbox (including the disguised redlink for the History of the University of the Witwatersrand; especially the disguised redlink!). I will also have significantly improved every article about Wits on Wikipedia. I'm not sure what punishment I'll mete out to myself should I fail to have done so by 31 December 2012, but I've got a whole year to think of one (and to prevent myself from needing to use it by actually doing what I've just resolved to do).
