The Singles Chart is a weekly record chart based on single sales from Sunday to Saturday; during the 2010s, a total of 80 singles reached number one. The most successful artist of the 2010s was Barbadian singer Rihanna which spent 36 weeks at the top of the Singles Chart during the decade, with six different releases. "Wake Me Up" (2013) by Swedish DJ Avicii was the biggest-selling single of the decade; it spent 12 consecutive weeks at number one. The first number-one single of the 2010s was "Meet Me Halfway" by The Black Eyed Peas - released in 2009, first reached number one in December, and remained at the top for five consecutive weeks. The final number one of the decade was "Ritmo (Bad Boys for Life)" also by The Black Eyed Peas and Colombian singer J Balvin.
