Fezzo's Seafood, Steakhouse, and Oyster Baris a causal dining seafood restaurant that offers Cajun French influenced food. The first location was opened in 1999 in the heart of Louisiana, Crowley. It now has two locations, one in Crowley and the second in Scott. There is also a sister restaurant in Scott, Louisiana.
The owners are Phil Faul and Pat Bordes II. The co-owners originally met while working together at Fezzo’s Supermarket in Rayne, right down the road from Crowley, Louisiana. The Supermarket was owned by Phil’s father Philton Faul. Fezzo’s is named after Mr. Philton Faul because of his nickname Fezzo.
Rochette’s is the sister restaurant. The name means spool in Italian, and the restaurant has an Italian style with pizza, pasta, and wraps.
In 1914, children were making their own toys. Folk Toysstate, “In many countries around the world, children can't buy toys because they're too expensive. So these children learn to build them themselves.” The Children were building toys with wooden spools that were used to hold thread. The toys would range from cars to sling shots.
The name Fezzo is Cajun French for spool, and is pronounced “FEE-zo.” Philton Faul was nicknamed Fezzo at a young age by the local postmaster, because he played with the wooden spools as a child. He was one of the many children who made toys with wooden spools. The nicknamed was carried with him through out his life.

Fezzo’s has won multiple awards through out the past years. The awards the restaurant has won are voted by the local public and surrounding communities. The Times of Acadiana is a local newspaper that is located in the core of Cajun country Lafayette, Louisiana.
In 2010, the restaurant was awarded “Best Seafood Restaurant” by The Times of Acadiana. It competed against local seafood restaurants in the Lafayette, Louisiana area. Some of which include Prejeans, Don’s Downtown, and Don’s Seafood Hut.
Also in 2010, Fezzo’s was awarded “Best Seafood Platter” by The Times of Acadiana. Their seafood platter includes seafood gumbo, seafood etouffee, catfish, fried stuffed shrimp, oysters, shrimp, frog leg, and crab cake.
In 2011, “Best Seafood Restaurant” by The Times of Acadiana, was again awarded to Fezzo’s.
In 2011, “Best Seafood Platter” went to Fezzo’s by The Times of Acadiana.
