From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The University Students' Council (Maltese: Kunsill Studenti Universitarji), also known in abbreviation as KSU, is a Maltese national students' union. It is the oldest extant student organization in Europe.[1] The KSU was established by Arturo Mercieca (1878-1969), later Chief Justice Sir Arturo Mercieca (1924-1940), in 1901 as the Comitato Permanente Universitario, also previously known as University Permanent Committee.[2][3][4][5][6] The students union is involved in students' national and international politics.[4][2][7]
