Terrebonne Parish (/ˌtɛrəˈboʊn/ TERR-ə-BOHN; French: Paroisse de Terrebonne) is a parish located in the southern part of the U.S. state of Louisiana. At the 2020 census, the population was 109,580.[1] The parish seat is Houma.[2] The parish was founded in 1822.[3] Terrebonne Parish is part of the Houma-Thibodaux metropolitan statistical area.
