Terňa (Rusyn: Терня, Hungarian: Ternye) is a village in the Prešov District of the Prešov Region in eastern Slovakia.
The first reference to Terňa in historical literature appears in 1259 when Béla IV of Hungary donated Terňa to a Šariš royal named Therne.[1]
Terňa lies at an altitude of 383 metres (419 yd) and covers an area of 29.4 km2 (11.4 sq mi) (2020-06-30/-07-01).[2]
The village has a population of 1,335 people (2020-12-31).[3]
