Kosovo is not in the List of sovereign states, and must not be presented as such here. It should be either removed, or marked with Kosovo-note. --WhiteWriterspeaks 12:09, 3 March 2013 (UTC)
- Nobody ever said it's in the list of sovereign states. If you're so touched by it, than add the Kosovo-note. - MicMicMic (talk) 12:15, 3 March 2013 (UTC)
- When you add it in the template, presented as country with other sovereign states, then you said it... :) --WhiteWriterspeaks 12:27, 3 March 2013 (UTC)
Please remove notable musicians part or add all notable musicians (but it would be inconvenient for displaying such a big list because almost all, or at least 1/3 of musicians from sr:Category:Српски музичари, sr:Category:Српски певачи, sr:Category:Српске певачице, etc. should be included there).
Right now there are many musicians and singers that are missing here (such as Džej, Ana Bekuta, Ceca, Stoja, Viki, Šemsa Suljaković, Haris Džinović, Mile Kitić, Lepa Brena etc. etc. etc.). Tens of them are missing and only about 25 are listed.
Or, explain way how exactly these are chosen to be most relevant... Thanks. --5.43.78.219 (talk) 12:21, 8 August 2019 (UTC)
I added those most relevant and fixed problem, at least temporarily. --5.43.78.219 (talk) 12:35, 8 August 2019 (UTC)
- Please remove those singers, I'm thinking of opera singers, who are not known for or defined by "Music of Southeastern Europe (the Balkans)". -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 05:45, 9 August 2019 (UTC)
- No. Only those that are known, award winning and famous are added. I consulted a professional to tell me whether they are relevant or not. These included here are all relevant, and if one does not follow only mainstream music of the SE Europe (the Balkans) but all music, or is a fan only of classical music, opera musicians are not less relevant than turbo-folkers that do have world popularity but with many educated people disgusted of them because of vulgar and/or nonquality texts ('cajka' songs).
- They are all known (have known biographies on Wikipedia and are known) and they are defined by "Music of Southeastern Europe (the Balkans)" because they originate from these places, perform in languages of peoples inhabitating this part of the world etc.--Obsuser (talk) 23:07, 10 August 2019 (UTC)
- Take for example Inva Mula, Ivo Pogorelić, Maksim Mrvica. They are not mentioned at Balkan music because they have no connection with that subject. These 3 happen to be on my watchlist, and I removed this template from their articles. They should also be removed from this template. I suspect there may be more similar cases. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 04:30, 11 August 2019 (UTC)
- Why to remove Mrvica? He is well known and has a very distinct style of fast playing the piano, like no other Balkan musician? Everyone should know Mrvica. Pogorelić is also famous; please explain why and how do you think exactly they are not connected with Balkan music? If they are not mentioned there that does not mean anything for this template; maybe to mention them following template content. --5.43.96.116 (talk) 05:37, 11 August 2019 (UTC)
- They ought to be removed because they have no connection to Balkan music. The tools to group people by their origin are categorization and lists. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 03:10, 12 August 2019 (UTC)
- Please read what you write. If Mrvica is Croatian, how possibly he can not have connection to Balkan music?! If he plays Austrian works, he remains Balkan musician still. --5.43.96.116 (talk) 06:52, 13 August 2019 (UTC)
- The current version is too long - and not in a good way. Cleanup is in order. Mm.srb (talk) 21:58, 11 August 2019 (UTC)
- No "cleanup" needed, whatever it meant. Only to add those that are notable and missed. "Current version" is not too long because "too long" is undefind designation, as well as "not in a good way" what means nothing for anyone. Longness is not a criterium here but relevance, and every way is a good way if relevance is met (right now only other thing related to "way(s)" I see is order; alphabetical order is convenient, whether by names or surnames I don't care). I care just about not putting e.g. Ž. Samardžić and putting Ž. Šašić for some strange reason; one should know what really ARE Serbian or other Balkan mainstream and notable musicians, and then think of the template ruining by removing those that are notable just to make list shorter; instead of that, if long list look is a problem (but I don't see a problem if alphabetized) they can be sorted by each country bolded black and then singers connected to that country for most. --5.43.96.116 (talk) 06:50, 13 August 2019 (UTC)
- Please consider WP:NAV. There you'll find The goal is not to cram as many related articles as possible into one space. and They should be kept small in size as a large template has limited navigation value. and more. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 11:45, 13 August 2019 (UTC)
- I removed those less notable. These that left are all relevant and one should not remove one and leave one by random selection just to make list even shorter. It's navigable, even on mobile (1/4th height of screen) now. --5.43.96.116 (talk) 13:11, 13 August 2019 (UTC)
Per this report, 115 transclusions (70 transclusion-but-no-link and 45 link-but-no-transclusion) should be fixed. --5.43.78.219 (talk) 13:00, 8 August 2019 (UTC)
Now is 114 transclusion-but-no-link and 57 link-but-no-transclusion (total to fix: 171 links). Much worse state than three months ago. --Obsuser (talk) 20:45, 10 November 2019 (UTC)
- Fixed. --Obsuser (talk) 19:52, 11 November 2019 (UTC)
I think that this list is not necessarily needed within the template. I suggest that we delete it from the template and include the list of names on several articles or that we create a single seperate article or something else... Sadkσ (talk is cheap) 20:28, 11 November 2019 (UTC)
- I agree. Notable musicians from this template could be moved to a template for musicians from the Balkan region if desired. --OrestesLebt (talk) 08:47, 12 November 2019 (UTC)
- The section is good!--Lorik17 (talk) 20:25, 17 November 2019 (UTC)
- I also agree with User:Sadko. This is an instance where categories/lists serve a much better purpose over a bloated navbox. Thanks. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 23:51, 25 November 2019 (UTC)

Kindly add Tarkan to this template. 176.54.12.255 (talk) 09:45, 1 July 2023 (UTC)
- Not done. There is no mention of the Balkans on the Tarkan article. Please provide a reliable source supporting there is a nexus between the two. — Manticore 12:30, 1 July 2023 (UTC)
