Wikipedia:WikiProject U.S. states/state templates lists and displays all 50 U.S. state (and additional other) templates. It potentially can be used for ideas and standardization. //MrD9 07:13, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
There is currently an ongoing discussion regarding standardization of state templates (primarily regarding layout and styling) at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject U.S. states/state templates. An effort was made earlier this year to standardize Canadian province templates (which mostly succeeded). Lovelac7 and I have already begun standardizing all state templates. If you have any concerns, they should be directed toward the discussion page for state template standardization. Thanks! — Webdinger BLAH | SZ 22:37, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
My edit was not vandalism! I was making a navbox for AMHS; Template:Alaska_Marine_Highway_System and had originally moved a copy of this over to my userpage to fool with it and figure out the mechanics of navboxes. Apparently I messed it up (no idea how) and I sincerely apologize! L'Aquatique talktome 20:54, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
I've created Template:Unorganized Borough, Alaska as a redirect to this page. This is primarily because all other boroughs have their templates, so someone might be encouraged to create an Unorganized template; however, because we have census area templates, there's no need for an Unorganized one; so this way, it's more of a demonstration that one should not be used. So, in the interest of not edit warring any further, I would like to discuss if we can add back (Dutch Harbor) next to the listing for Unalaska, as it had been for at least the last five years. To an alaskan, this may seem like a no-brainer, but of course we can't go by our own experience. What we can go by is the city of Unalaska's own website, which has an entire page about the various names of the city and uses both names its masthead, as does the local convention and visitor's bereau and the State of Alaska itself . That seems like more than enough to justify having it in parenthesis in this template. Beeblebrox (talk) 18:49, 6 August 2015 (UTC)
