The {{WikiProject Melanesia}} project banner template should be added (not subst:ed) to the talk page of every article within the scope of the project. While the template does not require any additional parameters, it has a number of optional ones that add various extra features to the banner. The full syntax is as follows:
{{WikiProject Melanesia
|importance= (High, Mid, Low, NA)
|class= (FA, A, GA, B, C, Start, Stub, FL, List or NA)
|attention=
|needs-image =
|needs-map =
|needs-geocoord =
<!-- Task forces (nations) -->
|PNG=
|SI=
|Vanuatu=
<!-- Task forces (territories) -->
|NC=
}}
General parameters:
|needs-image=yes
to request that a photograph, map, drawing, diagram, equation, or other image be added to the page. Leave blank or delete if not.|needs-map=yes
to request that a range map be included in the article to improve its quality.|needs-geocoord=yes
to request that geocoordinate data be included.
To avoid needlessly cluttering up talk pages, it is usually appropriate to remove any unused parameters from the template.
