- One question: Why does the hook say Her Majesty's Coastguard and the article say that the government used it? It seems a bit unclear. — Calvin999 20:40, 27 October 2015 (UTC)
- Stalking the page... The article says that "the government coastguard took control of the castle, using it as a base to combat smuggling". HM Coastguard wasn't formed in the modern sense until roughly a decade later, but HM Coastguard is the lineal descendent of the coastguard units that were stationed at Calshot and elsewhere. If I was explaining the story to someone at the pub, Oceanh's wording would be perfectly reasonable (it communicates the concept fine, in a way that everyone would understand); if I was being picky, it could be tightened (but might not communicate the concept as well). :) Hchc2009 (talk) 20:51, 27 October 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you for clarifying. I have supplied an alternative hook with "the English government coastguard". Sorry for the confusion. Oceanh (talk) 21:04, 27 October 2015 (UTC)

- This newly-promoted GA is long enough and nominated in a timely manner. Going for ALT1, which I have tweaked to avoid the use of the word "English" because it is too specific. The image is appropriately licensed and the article is neutral. I did not have access to the sources and googling various phrases from the article only produced Wikipedia mirrors.
