The tapaculos /ˌtæpəˈkuːloʊz, ˌtɑːpɑː-/ or tapacolos /-ˈkoʊ-/[1][2] are a family, Rhinocryptidae, of small suboscine passerine birds, found mainly in South America and with the highest diversity in the Andean regions.
