Could we get a citation on the supposed veneration of Symmachus by the Oriental Orthodox? This sounds like an astounding claim to me, as I would have thought them to probably think of Symmachus as a heretic. Deusveritasest (talk) 01:51, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
Is there any relation to the gens Symmachi? I notice that one of its members, the consul Quintus Aurelius Memmius Symmachus, supported the Pope in the controversy.
