In 1275 Moscow was a tiny village little known even in Russia. It is absolutely out of the question that Venice would have sent its ambassadors there. The term "Muscovy" did not appear in Western documents until a century later.
@Cplakidas: your source provides two sources for this extraordinary claim: da Canale, La chronique des Veniciens 584, 648, 707 and A. Dandolo, Chronicon (Muratori, Rerum italicarum scriptores XII, Milan 1728, col. 380) I have looked through both sources and failed to find any mention of Russia, let alone Muscovy. In 1275 Navazosio and Miglani went to "Roi de Raise, c'est un Rois d'Esclavonie" (de Canale 704) after that king had attacked Ragusa. So it's likely that Morgan conflated Rascia (aka Grand Principality of Serbia) with Russia. Ghirla-трёп- 11:21, 14 February 2021 (UTC)
