Should a horse really be put in the deaths section, which is normally reserved for humans? Maybe put it under the events section. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Art10 (talk • contribs) 18:30, 29 January 2007 (UTC).
Agreed. I moved it. Llamabr (talk) 18:37, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
According to the Wikipedia entry for Emanuel Swedenborg he was born February 8 and not January 29. Probably Heisenberg (talk) 22:12, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

This identical event is listed on January 23. There's many sites on the web listing either the 23rd or 29th. I've found most universities saying the 23rd, but some say the 29th. I've searched extensively in Sweden's Parlaiment website, but can't find any reference to either. The EPA website mentions April 1978. Nothing found in Sweden's Ministry of the Environment's website either. Any suggestions? As a note, January 23, 1978 fell on a Monday, the 29th fell on a Sunday. I wouldn't think their gov operates on Sundays to make such announcements, but who knows? Could have been a special session for all I know. Kentholke (talk) 22:31, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
Hello,
If Fat Tuesday is equivalent to Shrove Tuesday, the earliest date for this celebration should be February 3, and not January 29.

In my limited experience, Fat Thursday is not known in the West, except in old Polish enclaves, where pączki is usually spelt panki. It it helpful to attribute it to "Western Civilization" without some specification of where? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.163.195.238 (talk) 03:24, 28 January 2024 (UTC)
It's a FA, and January 29, 2012 is the 45th anniversary of the event. Plus, its main illustration is a FP . Should perhaps be given consideration for OTD on January 29, 2012. Regards, Cinosaur (talk) 10:41, 3 January 2012 (UTC)
Continuing the ongoing effort to reduce the size of the Births and Deaths sections to make them manageable, I've removed some celebrities with few or no articles in other wikipedias, moving the entries to the appropriate Year in Topic article if they were not already present. You're going to have to point me to some actual, large-scale consensus for such a large change, not just "because I said so". --Calton | Talk 00:17, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
