The article needs substantial work to meet the FA criteria: better referencing (including citing the uncited content, as well as improving the quality of refs so that promotional claims are cited to independent sources), updating many sections that are out of date. There is also massive overload of images in contrary to MOS:IMAGELOC. (t · c) buidhe 21:25, 2 November 2020 (UTC)

I would like to add the following picture to the Wikipedia page on Istanbul, in the "Economy" section, or, if not there, in the page for the Levent neighborhood itself. This picture is one that I thought was very beautiful and had a big impact on me for various reasons in my life a few years ago. I loved it and it helped me to learn a lot about Istanbul, and other cities and their skylines around the world. I don't know why it was removed, but it deserves to be viewable for history and posterity. It is part of the current and past history of Istanbul. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Levent_seen_from_Sporcular_Park.gif Fitandgreen (talk) 05:11, 26 August 2024 (UTC)
I propose that the Wikipedia pages for Istanbul, Constantinople, and Byzantium be unified into a single comprehensive entry. While each name represents a distinct historical phase, they all refer to the same city. A unified page would provide readers with a coherent narrative that emphasizes the continuity of Istanbul’s identity and allows for a better understanding of its cultural and historical evolution. By integrating key events, figures, and thematic elements under one article, we can eliminate redundancy, improve user experience, and create a valuable resource for anyone seeking to learn about this historically rich city. I believe this change would enhance the overall quality of the information presented and reflect the interconnectedness of the city’s past. Lardlegwarmers (talk) 03:19, 16 October 2024 (UTC)
