I'm seeing it mentioned twice that this highway violates AASHTO's numbering scheme since its between I-79 and I-81. However, aside from being hinted at in a statement by Bud, it's never indicated what number the route should have been given. - ʄɭoʏɗiaɲ τ ¢ 06:55, 27 March 2012 (UTC)
That final five or so mile stretch was finally completed and opened in October. http://www.the-leader.com/article/20131008/NEWS/131009730 Interestingly, Google maps knew about it and it was showing up as I-99 but it has since been removed. B137 (talk) 20:56, 17 March 2014 (UTC)
Although this article does have a map, I went ahead and tagged it as needing a map because it needs updated to reflect the addition of the New York section of I-99, and possibly a dotted line to show where the two sections would connect with each other. With regards to making a map, I would not put a dotted line down to I-68 yet at this time, as it appears that PennDOT isn't extending it south yet at this point.
