Add: Canadian history One of the first kennels to sell British Golden retrievers was Northlands in Warren, Ontario. The owner, Louis Baker started importing the British Golden in 1957 and his daughter-in-law, Jutta Baker started showing the Northland Goldens at the Sportsman's Show in Toronto where she won best of breed in consecutive years as the only Golden in the show. <ref: personal history author Peter Baker> 142.126.134.139 (talk) 20:21, 12 July 2022 (UTC)

Canadian History: In 1955, Louis Baker started the first Canadian kennel dedicated to Golden Retrievers which he called Northlands as it was located in Warren, Ontario between Sudbury and North Bay. Mr. Baker's daughter-in-law, Jutta Baker entered Northland dogs in the Canadian Sportsman's Show in the late 1950s and won several Best of Breed awards as there were no other Goldens in the show.
