Some work someone might like to do on the article: the constituency needs definition in terms of names of neighbouring constituencies and of wards within the constituency. The constituency's boundaries may not exactly coincide with those of the town and village it is named for. Laurel Bush 13:03, 22 Mar 2005 (UTC).
According to leighrayment.com, Folkestone and Hythe had existed from 1983 to present. However, according to psr.keele.ac.uk, the seat of Esher had been returning members from at least 1951. Given that the last boundary changes before that election occurred in 1950, it has existed since at least then, though possibly longer. --New Progressive 15:29, 4 January 2006 (UTC)
