I have recently noticed that this article likely should be merged with dam. Any thoughts? Kukini 18:17, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
->No, I think that dam types should be written separately, And small summary of the article should be merged in the main article about dam. Prymshbmg (talk) 17:21, 4 January 2015 (UTC)
The article currently notes new multiple arch dams being "disfavored" after the Gleno Dam failure, but it has been noted that more than one multiple arch or buttress dams have since been built including some big ones such as the Daniel-Johnson Dam, Itaipu Dam and the Bartlett Dam. Expanding or explaining the status of bridge design engineering on this issue (with references) is needed. Deanlaw (talk) 17:41, 25 March 2011 (UTC)
