Stanley Cullis (25 October 1916 – 28 February 2001) was an English internationalist professional footballer and manager. In his 30 year association with Wolverhampton Wanderers, he captained them from aged 19 as they were twice football league and once FA Cup runners-up in the 1930s. He became Wolves Assistant-Manager in 1947 and aged 31, Manager in 1948, leading them to 3 First Division and 2 FA Cup titles. He debuted for England aged 20. When advised in 1938 in the Berlin dressing room pre-match that England players were to Nazi-salute during the German national anthem, he refused, simply saying, "Count me out". He was the only England player who refused and dropped from the team that day. He later captained England aged 22.
