According to the 2011 census, there are 1,468 inhabitants, in the following settlements:[3]
- Donja Jagodnja, population 113
- Gornja Jagodnja, population 85
- Kakma, population 213
- Polača, population 1,057
88% of the population are Croats.[4] The area of Polača municipality is 29.92 km2.
Politics
Minority councils and representatives
Directly elected minority councils and representatives are tasked with consulting tasks for the local or regional authorities in which they are advocating for minority rights and interests, integration into public life and participation in the management of local affairs.[5] At the 2023 Croatian national minorities councils and representatives elections Serbs of Croatia fulfilled legal requirements to elect 10 members minority councils of the Municipality of Polača but the elections were not held due to the absence of candidatures.[6]
