Plymouth/Old Colony Railroad

The Old Colony Railroad (OC) was a major railroad system, mainly covering southeastern Massachusetts and parts of Rhode Island, which operated from 1845

Old Colony has the following meanings: Plymouth Colony in Massachusetts Old Colony Historical Society in Taunton, Massachusetts Old Colony Housing Project

Cape Main Line through Brockton and Middleborough and the Old Colony mainline to Plymouth even after passenger service ended, so the lines were not abandoned

Old Colony Railroad network. Passenger service, never more than a few trips per day, was often operated as Providence–Plymouth or Taunton–Plymouth trains

with the Old Colony and Newport Railway terminus at Plymouth. In 1871, the Plymouth and Vineyard Sound Railroad was sold to the Cape Cod Railroad Company
