Miękinia ([mjɛnˈkiɲa]) (German: Nimkau) is a town in Środa Śląska County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.[1] It is the seat of the administrative district (gmina) called Gmina Miękinia.

It lies approximately 13 kilometres (8 mi) east of Środa Śląska, and 20 kilometres (12 mi) west of the regional capital Wrocław.
The town has a population of 2078.
Miękinia is one of the places of winemaking in Poland.
The Voivodeship road 341 runs past Miękinia, connecting it with the National road 94, which runs nearby, south of the town. There is also a train station in Miękinia.
The local football club is Pogoń Miękinia.[2] It competes in the lower leagues.
