Kačanov (Hungarian: Kácsánd) is a village and municipality in Michalovce District in the Kosice Region of eastern Slovakia.
In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1304. Before the establishment of independent Czechoslovakia in 1918, it was part of Zemplén County within the Kingdom of Hungary.
The village lies at an altitude of 100 metres and covers an area of 5.78 km2 (2.23 sq mi) (2020-06-30/-07-01).[1]
It has a population of 500 people (2020-12-31).[2]
The population is about 99% Slovak in ethnicity.
The village has a small public library and a food store.
