Phoenix (Japanese: 火の鳥, Hepburn: Hi no Tori)[lower-alpha 1] is a 1978 Japanese jidaigeki film written and directed by Kon Ichikawa.[2][1] It is based on the "Dawn" storyline from Osamu Tezuka's manga of the same title.[3][4][5][6][7][8][9]
